Name the last time USC tried to get out of playing a football game. It was when they canceled their game against UC Davis because the Trojans don't play FCS schools. There is a new rumor making the rounds and I'm not buying it!

It's no fun hating on ND if we don't get to beat them. That rivalry has to stay.
As much as people have issues with Colin I think he’s more pro West Coast football than most major sports personalities. If people are upset with Colin you should really hear what people from outlets like ESPN, 247, and non-West Coast content creators have to say. The only thing those content creators have to say about USC is how bad our defense is, how we aren’t as tough as programs like Michigan, and how Georgia is going to flip all of our recruits. At least Colin respects the USC brand. Just my opinion

LSU, Notre Dame, Michigan, Penn State… If they’re on the schedule, it’s better to stick with it and give it your best shot rather than be a coward and back out. It’s up to USC to rise to the occasion. No more excuses. No shortcuts. No whining or complaining. The schedule is set. We as fans should welcome the challenge for our team, accepting the risks and rewards that come with it. ✌️
Exactly! I keep hearing the "pragmatic" argument that USC shouldn't make it more difficult on themselves. I think people forget that the 12-team playoff field will be littered with 2-loss teams, and SOS will play a vital role when comparing losses.

For recruiting, just put the dollar amount that the recruit is asking for.
You don't need to spend any time on who the guy is, where he's from, how he plays etc. Because that stuff doesn't really matter anymore, does it?

Cowherd never thinks anything. I never liked him he takes one I'll conceived premise and beats it to death for an hour... and he's right about 50% of the time.
Beating nd once every four years if we're lucky is not a rivalry, not worth it for me.
But I bet you were loving life when USC was beating them by 31 points three years in a row- you don’t get to pick and choose✌🏼
ND holds only a very slight historical advantage over USC. Tollner, Smith, Hackett, and Helton account for 16 of our losses to Them. Without those lackluster spells, we've only lost to ND 13 times in the last 60 years

Mark, sorry, you missed the point. Being in the Big 10 gives SC enough marque games that they don’t need to schedule ND anymore. For ND, it’s a recruiting tool in SoCal that S shouldn’t be supplying.
Trust me, I did not miss the point! And the way USC has been recruiting lately. It’s not like they’re protecting their own backyard anyways.
You’re probably not gonna like this next comment, but I’m really disappointed in the lack of tradition that folks appreciate
USC has nothing to gain by playing ND. ND is a far superior program to ours at the moment and by continuing to lose to them we are effectively sending recruits their way. We have nothing to gain playing against a true blue blood. Best if we scheduled Cal Poly or UC Davis, would make for a good weekender trip too

I wouldn’t mind if we got rid of the LSU/Ole Miss regular season games. I care less about pride and more about getting to the Big10 championship and CFP. If the other Big10 powers aren’t playing two big out of conference games I.e. Notre Dame + LSU/Ole Miss every year why should we?
