dobrá práce! Jsem rád, že někdo recykluje pro radost i v česku. Také se snažím už druhým rokem, zatím jen zlato a kdybych nedostal darem pár prstýnků a náušnic, tak jsem těžce v mínusu :D

Love your work!! Converting silver chloride to silver oxide is easily done with a little water and an electric hand mixer like a Barmix.

Yes, but I wanted silver as pure as possible.

I have something like 6 lbs of close trimmed industrial contacts, roughly 75 lbs of plated silverware and around 700 lbs of nice electronic scrap I want to refine. I really need to read the Hoke book before the price drops out. I'm really afraid of poisoning or burning myself though.
It's the same as working with fire. You just have to be careful. :)
Sell it in eBay and leave it to the pros

I got pounds of small contacts like those but they are soldered on rather than riveted. Its not economic for me to cut them up, I have to figure out a way to seperate them.

i have a dumb question, can i just skip all the chemical solution and just melt the CONTACT, I know it won't be pure silver but will it still come out to be like some weak silver?

A buyer on ebay will probably give you more for the contacts than the amount of silver is worth. Its strange what buyers buy. Maybe it creates value to them to getting the material to practice silver recovery. I don't know.

Není snadnější do kádinky dát čistou měděnou trubku? Je to nenáročný proces. Cukru je škoda :-) a hydroxidu taky. Levnější je použít měď. Jinak super proces.
Kde se dá sehnat kyselina Dusičná? Už ji nikdo nechce prodávat bez živnostenského listu. Děkuji
Snadnější to je, ale čistota stříbra je potom mizerná.
HNO3 se bez živnosťáku opravdu nedá...

tylko po co to robić skoro srebro można strącić z azotanu srebra zwykłą miedzią ; a potem ewentualnie odzyskac miedż strącając ją żelazem .... bez sensu szkoda roboty
If you don't want pure silver, your way is fine. The chloride method has less loss.
@@BohumilGraman żeby otrzymac czyste srebro należy albo jeszcze raz je roztworzyc w kwasie i jeszcze raz strącić lub i to jest najlepsza droga dokonać procesu elektrolizy srebra ; co do strat zgoda lecz trzeba takze pamiętać ze odczynniki takze kosztuja i moim zdaniem nie warto pozdrawiam
