How glorious to hear Michael Crawford singing these wonderful songs. This is from fifteen years ago. This, as said below, should have at least a million likes.
This mans voice is the very best ,can,t get enough of listenig to Michael he is a King ,should be Sir Michael Crawford ,love you Michael thankyou for your amazing voice ,beautiful man beautiful voice .God Bless you darling sing for ever .Paula xxx
I didn't even know he did this... I was looking up the Phantom of the Opera Inside your mind, My mind is blown... I'm done... I can't even.... I've just...Oh god... I just lost the will to can anymore.. Just beautiful, just.... Amazing.. Words I have none for how amazing this is.... Seriously, what..... I don't even know... I just so amazing!
Michael the phantom is someone I identify with as I'm sure millions can. We might have a disability that shun's us from from the world, so we hide and shy away from others. Then one day we become enthralled by a girl we happen to meet who is taken by another man. We long to be with that girl...and we will do anything for her to love us despite our disfigurement.
@XevanescenceXangelX Mike singing "He Lives In You" reminds me that even if we miss a friend their spirit some how lives in us. A person with extreme compassion in the voice like Michael's is the only one able to make me or us feel this way.
@TheaterRaven Ah... Michael Crawford was so mindblowing as the Phantom that we can't separate his voice from the character XD. Oh, but it's cool, nothing wrong with that. This guy is so talented ! He has such a powerful and graceful voice, always full of emotion. Wonderful medley of the Lion King (it's already kickass on its own... but with Crawford's voice... damnit... his voice makes me emotional).
@XevanescenceXangelX So true!!!! And, to me, Michael Crawford always will be the voice of Erik, so this was especially wonderful for him to sing that song. I wish he'd recorded a full version of it.
@KingNice92 Erik is the name of the Phantom of the Opera. Some versions give him different names, other adaptations, like the Lloyd Webber musical, leave him nameless and just call him "the Phantom", but in the original novel by Gaston Leroux, his name is Erik.
@XevanescenceXangelX I couldn't agree more! It's like a quote I once read by Gaston Leroux where he said "The Opera Ghost really existed" and I couldn't agree more with him that Erik does exist-he exists in all of us, the desire to be loved and cherished by another and Erik holds a special place in the hearts of everyone on this Earth: We are all him
@PrincessMeggy025 HIs best known musical besides Phantom is Barnum for which he won major awards and which you can purchase on amazon.com. His other stage musicals, Billy and Algernon, are sadly not available. He sings in Hello Dolly and Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum. He is without doubt the best all-around entertainer of his generation.
this was my daughters 1st movie, It came out in 1994, my daughter was born in July of 1994. She was a wee little baby, every night we would fall asleep on the couch watching this movie. Just hearing this is making my eyes water. I will loose my baby girl in September of 2019 as she will be married, I will loose her but I will gain a son-in- law. This movie will hold a special place in my heart.
@imahaingttia I joined a few months ago just to learn more about this remarkable talent whom I managed to overlook in years past. Where did you get the Billy CD? MC certainly deserve these awards and I hope he does more CDs of B'way and movie songs, his voice is perfect for this music.
@XevanescenceXangelX Also, I think Erik was life itself, although he looked like death itself, he was in fact life itself, disguised as death. Erik will live forever, and he's living on and exists right now as I am writing this, right now he is alive and exists and is trying to tell us something about love and hope! And he was more real than any of us!!!!
Ok, I imagined the Phantom singing Can you feel the love tonight to Christine, with the gestures from Music of the Night... Oh my sweet God... "how to join team Erik-part 1"
Well no, it's just that Some people do Not like this, or they didn't grow up in The Nineties, like I did. This movie is Pure Gold, & Also, a part of My Childhood. Unfortunately, this movie Is Not or Was Not a part of Everyone's Child Hood, which is sad 😕☹😢😭😿😾💔💙💦, because they Are missing out, or Have Missed Out on a Great Movie, Shadow Star.
@XevanescenceXangelX Actually, "Destler" is only his last name in the Robert Englund film. Gaston Leroux, as you said, never gave him a last name, and even his first name may not be his real name, because the Phantom tells Christine when she asks if "his name of Erik pointed to Scandinavian origins" that he "has no country and had taken the name of Erik by accident".
@thebttfchannel I agree with XevanescenceXangelX. :He Lives in You" makes me think of Erik. I don't think being a fan of Erik necessarily makes you like him--I think, if you're drawn to Erik, you're drawn to his spirit for a reason, whether you're a struggling artist like him or were born "different" in society's eyes, as he was. I think Erik's life and story can be used to teach tolerance and PREVENT suffering like what he went through. He's a wise soul and a good teacher.
Personally, I feel that “He Lives in You”, in a way, talks about God. Which brings me to something I’ve had on my mind for a while- What do you think would happen if someone were to tell Erik that everyone is beautiful in God’s eyes? Would he listen? Would he doubt it? Would he deny it? Would his response be similar to that of Salieri in the film “Amadeus?” (For those of you who’ve seen “Amadeus”) ...Would he have lost his faith already? Please comment down below. I look forward to hearing from you. P.S.:There is _ABSOLUTELY NOTHING_ wrong with my spirituality!!!
michael crawford + lion king = amazing
My life is finally complete. Could not stop crying, to many wonderful memories of my childhood. BRAVO SIR CRAWFORD!!!!!

Holy Christ. I'm.. I'm not sure what to say. This is beautiful.
I didn't even know he did this... I was looking up the Phantom of the Opera Inside your mind, My mind is blown... I'm done... I can't even.... I've just...Oh god...

@FilmRangers This song is from Michael's Disney CD. You should be able to find it at most places that carry music. I bought a used copy on Amazon.
Great jib on the slides they fit perfectly.

Wow. Phantom was in a very good mood here!
Mind blown out of this world. Amazing, especially the "He lives in you"-part!

Even Erik (the Phantom) likes The Lion King o.o I am so happy.
Yes, it's on a CD called, "Michael Crawford: The Disney Album".
OMG, I never even THOUGHT of "Be Prepared", but you're right!!!! Wow, that would be so badass to hear a Phantom sing that song. :) Totally awesome.
I would pay good money to hear him sing "Be Prepared"

No, Elton John among other various artists sang the original songs, but ever since then there have been many covers.
This is perfect for the film's 30th anniversary next year 2024
I usually don't like other versions of this. But this is an amazing exception.
Best! I love that sound.
Can you feel the love tonight?
Christine, I loved you . . . .

Indeed it is. :)
