Real nice clear video at the end. Way better than the NASS collection.
Damn those steam engines could really rip along. Some did over 105 mph in England.

My own Dad was a tourist from NY back in those days (He was in his mid-30's at the time!) I still have a lot of photos of his trips to FL during the Depression years. He retired and moved our family to South Florida in 1959.

Is there any way you could share them with us and I'll make it into a movie?

Just imagine being back in that time as a kid. Your family is probably pretty well off, the depression was still on. Your Dad takes you all down from NYC to FL on the train and then you are driving up to the Breakers. Elegant, fantasyland.

Back then people were smarter than now. They only came when the weather was not hot!!

I wonder if any of those palm trees are still alive... i just did some research; some of these palms can live up to 90, so could be alive still... however, there are palm diseases in Florida that make the likelihood almost nil... Mexican Fan Palms can live to 100 in California, and grow to tremendous 90ft heights... ive got a few 35 year old 55ft trees in my backyard yard of a new house we bought and have lived in since 1989... two giant pine trees too, that i planted from little Chistmas pots in 1990.
