Right, this is what they did to Jesus. He did not make the Pharisees blind without their own free will, Christ just made the light of truth so bright that it blinded them, or rather they willfuly closed their own eyes for they couldn't deny it. What He gave them was a choice and they hated Him for it. They could not unsee the truth, just like most people do when you prove them wrong, they will hate you and will not forgive you for it, and if they could get away with it, they'd kill you too.

I'd understood the order but thanks for sharing this! God showed me some time back things about the book of Joshua. How Moses was referring to law figuratively, and Israel getting from the lead of Moses to the Lead of Joshua, like us christians come from under the law to under the mercy in Jesus. That when moving on and repenting as we're revealed more of our sins we didn't know about before. But originally we also had to face the law to pray for forgiveness of sins.

I had a rough home life when I was a kid. I had 23 years of misery with my first wife, I don't want to go "home" to either of those. So, why am I longing to go home. And it hit me, I am actually longing to go home to God. I love, praise and glorify God.

Obviously I can’t speak for everyone that its happened to and obviously I don’t know your reason for being an atheist, especially if at some point you where ever Christian but I think I have some ideas as to why maybe it happens to some people. People that have been raised Christian or Catholic some don’t really develop a relationship with God or even seek out the Holy Spirit. They just follow a type of ritual. Go to church say a prayer and that’s it. There are just regular people going to church living their lives but not really walking in the Holy Spirt. So that’s why a lot of people in church act like hypocrites, they’re critical, they’re judgmental, etc. But at the end of the day, none of us are perfect. And allot of the times we are also guilty of the same thing we accuse others of. A couple years ago I told a friend of mine at the time that I was going to start looking into maybe going to church, and her comment was good luck with that so many hypocrites are in church. And she’s not wrong. That really stuck with me because I felt that if I wanted to do things different I needed to just focus on the word of God and not so much on how people perceived the word of God or members in church or pastors. Idk if that makes sense. So I avoided going to church. Anyway it was during lockdown and all churches where closed. If I was going to start a journey to a relationship with God It had to be just a one on one. So I took baby steps. I started listening to the four gospels and the sermon on the Mount. Because if I was going to get to know Jesus I had to get familiar with his teachings before stepping foot into a church. I guess I did it backwards. I did however find a church online it’s a seven day Adventist church. Again, this was during the lockdown. But I understood now, it’s not about being “religious”, or going to church. Jesus actually spoke against all the religious hypocrites in temple at that time. They where all full of self righteousness. So Jesus disrupted it all. Challenged it even. Once I understood that this reality that we live in is not permanent and that there has to be something else and the Bible says that there is another Kingdom, It just changed me from not believing to actively seeking. There’s this channel called “no greater love” it has a dove on the profile picture. This helped my journey. Not sure how I even found it but I used to fall a sleep listening to the 4 gospels. So I honestly believe that people that were raised Christian and decided to not only leave the faith but just stop believing in God in general just never had an relationship with Jesus or understood how precious their soul is. There has to be a disconnection somewhere. You know that Amish show where these kids completely leave the faith and some of them choose not to believe in anything anymore? Yeah it does happen but again I don’t think it’s because of Jesus or they regret learning about Jesus and his teachings, I think it’s just because of the relationship they had in the community and the way they were treated in church or by friends or family members. Sometimes a tragedy happens and you stop believing in God all together. And the sad part is when we experience something negative especially in a religious environment we end up throwing the baby out with the bathwater. Some people get treated so badly that they get turned off by the idea of Jesus in general. My daughter was raised atheists. I regret it now but that’s ok. It’s all good. She’s a teenager. She saw me little by little learn about Jesus. I don’t force her nor will I ever. I’m just teaching her about the Gospels, about salvation and the kingdom of God, about the commandments. I pray with her every night and she never objects. Actually I tell her that one of the most important things she can ever do is pray. I really focus on this point because God forbid if anything were to ever happen to me I want her to know that she can have that conversation with Jesus and he will listen to her. She’s never alone. I answer her questions about God and why there is so much suffering. I address every concern I had that prevented me from seeking Jesus in the first place. I keep it as real as possible. Nothing is off topic. Nothing is censored or taboo. Everything I share with her comes directly from the word of God. Never my own understanding. It will be her choice ultimately. Knowing what I know now, there’s no way I could ever go back. No regrets. I can’t explain it. It’s like your heart and mind transform. You see truth. The reason why I was an atheist was because I wanted truth, and I thought it didn’t exist or truth was subjective, but the reason I’m a Christian now and a follower of Christ is because I found truth only through the word of God. And it’s not subjective. It’s solid, and unchanging. That’s why I believe you don’t regret following Jesus when you reach that level of understanding and faith. But of course, you’re right. Some people just choose to not believe. I’m glad we have a choice though. Maybe you disagree with everything I’ve said that’s just my opinion as someone that was atheist. Sorry for such a long reply.

I have a secret that I've kept hidden out of respect and love for my mother. I'm going to finally exhale and share it now. I'm an only child raised by my single mother. My parents divorced when I was 9 months old and I rarely saw my father. My mom has repeatedly told me, for a long as I can remember, that she never wanted a child and that she cried every single day that I grew in her womb.Why she would tell me that is a mystery to me. Proving her distain of motherhood she aborted 5 of my siblings during the 70's. She talked about it with her friends in front of me like it wasn't a big deal at all. All of my life I have longed for siblings,my little brothers and sisters. I've often wondered that if I make it to heaven wil they be there waiting for me, knowing how I've advocated for not only them but for the millions of other babies that have been selfishly and gruesomely murdered.
@K. Lynn I can relate to your story having experienced this as well. My mother didn’t tell me she cried every day of the pregnancy, but she never wanted me and took off when I was a child. I’ve not seen her since. She aborted my siblings who I wanted so so much. It’s sad, very painful. Has taken me many decades to deal with. I went from imagining gruesome things happening to her in my teens (out of anger from rejection, abandonment and pain), to praying almost daily for her salvation. I believe God has showed me that she was damaged herself, something(s) bad happened to her to make her that way. He has taken the seething anger for her that was in my heart away. I pray that she’s in the Kingdom so that we can have a chance to know one another on a level without all of the bad in life. Hurt people, hurt people. I don’t know where you are in your journey, but God can and does heal! I’m so sorry for everything that you went through, the losses incurred and pain that’s indescribable. God SEES. He knows. Talking to Him about it is the best thing I have done in this area. I pray His healing and blessings over you in Jesus’s name! EDIT: I forgot to tell you the most important part! Please forgive me. YES!!! Your brothers and sisters that were aborted ARE IN HEAVEN and are WAITING FOR YOU! This is a very hard story to read incredibly sad for you. I am so sorry that’s how your Mother sees you how it must have knocked your confidence and question your very existence. My mom was steeped in alcoholism and drug abuse which as odd as it sounds, forced me in a strange place of being the mother to my mother. She was raised an atheist but my entire life God placed His children in my life who were always praying for me and I know that's what kept me safe. She had a beautiful testimony. Shortly after I gave my heart to God after I was married, she had a stroke and scribbled on a piece of paper asking that my church pray for her! 3 days later she was walking and singing about how God loves her and that she loves herself!!! She quit drinking and started to come to church with me!! We had a beautiful relationship and studied the Bible together and praised God together, it was a truly wonderful experience. Sadly, seven yrs later she started drinking again and for the next 2 yrs did irreversible damage to her liver and brain. Her husband died and I brought her home with me (sober of course). She had alcohol induced dementia and for the next 7 yrs was in my care and I loved on her, forgave her and loved on her some more until she died in my arms in 2017. I will always cherish the time God gave us when we got to praise Him together yrs before when she was sober and the time we had together before she died. He knew that I desperately needed those moments. Ashes to beauty. 🌷
What I really appreciate about these interactions is that his mission wasn't so much, "how quickly can I get you to agree with me and accept Christ?" But rather, "let me actually connect with these people and give them (at minimum) something to consider." Where there's pressure, people either lean in and argue/fight, or they retreat. Connections provide invitations. I really pray that these people come to know Christ through these genuine and vulnerable conversations.
When it comes to outreach, or us having in general discussions with people. Being confrontational to someone is wrong, being confronting to them isn't wrong. There is a very big difference, One comes from a place of judgement, the other is telling them about the judgement.
My dad taught me that “the greatest sermon one can preach is through his/her actions”. Also, “the devil cannot force you to hell, and God will not force you to heaven”.

I'd understood the order but thanks for sharing this! God showed me some time back things about the book of Joshua. How Moses was referring to law figuratively, and Israel getting from the lead of Moses to the Lead of Joshua, like us christians come from under the law to under the mercy in Jesus. That when moving on and repenting as we're revealed more of our sins we didn't know about before. But originally we also had to face the law to pray for forgiveness of sins.

I do believe in god. But I find it laughable that people equate this phenomena due to being distajce from god. I had a rough home life when I was a kid. I had 23 years of misery with my first wife, I don't want to go "home" to either of those. So, why am I longing to go home. Obviously I can’t speak for everyone that its happened to and obviously I don’t know your reason for being an atheist, especially if at some point you where ever Christian but I think I have some ideas as to why maybe it happens to some people. People that have been raised Christian or Catholic some don’t really develop a relationship with God or even seek out the Holy Spirit. They just follow a type of ritual. Go to church say a prayer and that’s it. There are just regular people going to church living their lives but not really walking in the Holy Spirt.
So that’s why a lot of people in church act like hypocrites, they’re critical, they’re judgmental, etc. But at the end of the day, none of us are perfect. And allot of the times we are also guilty of the same thing we accuse others of. A couple years ago I told a friend of mine at the time that I was going to start looking into maybe going to church, and her comment was good luck with that so many hypocrites are in church. And she’s not wrong. That really stuck with me because I felt that if I wanted to do things different I needed to just focus on the word of God and not so much on how people perceived the word of God or members in church or pastors. Idk if that makes sense. So I avoided going to church. Anyway it was during lockdown and all churches where closed. If I was going to start a journey to a relationship with God It had to be just a one on one. So I took baby steps. I started listening to the four gospels and the sermon on the Mount. Because if I was going to get to know Jesus I had to get familiar with his teachings before stepping foot into a church. I guess I did it backwards. I did however find a church online it’s a seven day Adventist church. Again, this was during the lockdown. But I understood now, it’s not about being “religious”, or going to church. Jesus actually spoke against all the religious hypocrites in temple at that time. They where all full of self righteousness. So Jesus disrupted it all. Challenged it even. Once I understood that this reality that we live in is not permanent and that there has to be something else and the Bible says that there is another Kingdom, It just changed me from not believing to actively seeking. There’s this channel called “no greater love” it has a dove on the profile picture. This helped my journey. Not sure how I even found it but I used to fall a sleep listening to the 4 gospels. So I honestly believe that people that were raised Christian and decided to not only leave the faith but just stop believing in God in general just never had an relationship with Jesus or understood how precious their soul is. There has to be a disconnection somewhere. You know that Amish show where these kids completely leave the faith and some of them choose not to believe in anything anymore? Yeah it does happen but again I don’t think it’s because of Jesus or they regret learning about Jesus and his teachings, I think it’s just because of the relationship they had in the community and the way they were treated in church or by friends or family members. Sometimes a tragedy happens and you stop believing in God all together. And the sad part is when we experience something negative especially in a religious environment we end up throwing the baby out with the bathwater. Some people get treated so badly that they get turned off by the idea of Jesus in general. My daughter was raised atheists. I regret it now but that’s ok. It’s all good. She’s a teenager. She saw me little by little learn about Jesus. I don’t force her nor will I ever. I’m just teaching her about the Gospels, about salvation and the kingdom of God, about the commandments. I pray with her every night and she never objects. Actually I tell her that one of the most important things she can ever do is pray. I really focus on this point because God forbid if anything were to ever happen to me I want her to know that she can have that conversation with Jesus and he will listen to her. She’s never alone. I answer her questions about God and why there is so much suffering. I address every concern I had that prevented me from seeking Jesus in the first place. I keep it as real as possible. Nothing is off topic. Nothing is censored or taboo. Everything I share with her comes directly from the word of God. Never my own understanding. It will be her choice ultimately. Knowing what I know now, there’s no way I could ever go back. No regrets. I can’t explain it. It’s like your heart and mind transform. You see truth. The reason why I was an atheist was because I wanted truth, and I thought it didn’t exist or truth was subjective, but the reason I’m a Christian now and a follower of Christ is because I found truth only through the word of God. And it’s not subjective. It’s solid, and unchanging. That’s why I believe you don’t regret following Jesus when you reach that level of understanding and faith. But of course, you’re right. Some people just choose to not believe. I’m glad we have a choice though. Maybe you disagree with everything I’ve said that’s just my opinion as someone that was atheist. Sorry for such a long reply.

I live in the UK, where atheism is the norm. I wasn't brought up believing in a god, and nobody I knew believed, or they weren't vocal about it.
When I got older, I thought I'd look into it to see if I was missing anything. But I was surprised how little evidence there is for a god. No good evidence, it seems to me.

I have a secret that I've kept hidden out of respect and love for my mother. I'm going to finally exhale and share it now.
I'm an only child raised by my single mother. My parents divorced when I was 9 months old and I rarely saw my father. My mom has repeatedly told me, for a long as I can remember, that she never wanted a child and that she cried every single day that I grew in her womb.Why she would tell me that is a mystery to me. Proving her distain of motherhood she aborted 5 of my siblings during the 70's. She talked about it with her friends in front of me like it wasn't a big deal at all.
All of my life I have longed for siblings,my little brothers and sisters. I've often wondered that if I make it to heaven wil they be there waiting for me, knowing how I've advocated for not only them but for the millions of other babies that have been selfishly and gruesomely murdered.
@K. Lynn I can relate to your story having experienced this as well. My mother didn’t tell me she cried every day of the pregnancy, but she never wanted me and took off when I was a child. I’ve not seen her since. She aborted my siblings who I wanted so so much. It’s sad, very painful. Has taken me many decades to deal with. I went from imagining gruesome things happening to her in my teens (out of anger from rejection, abandonment and pain), to praying almost daily for her salvation.
I believe God has showed me that she was damaged herself, something(s) bad happened to her to make her that way. He has taken the seething anger for her that was in my heart away. I pray that she’s in the Kingdom so that we can have a chance to know one another on a level without all of the bad in life. Hurt people, hurt people. I don’t know where you are in your journey, but God can and does heal! I’m so sorry for everything that you went through, the losses incurred and pain that’s indescribable. God SEES. He knows. YES!!! Your brothers and sisters that were aborted ARE IN HEAVEN and are WAITING FOR YOU! They will be there greeting you and loving on you when you disembark from the train that drops you off in heaven. That might sound a bit silly but seek God on it. I know this for a FACT that they are there waiting for you! Same with my siblings. Now it’s up to us to make sure we accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior, repent of our sins and follow Him! Ask for the Holy Spirit to help you grow in your spiritual walk and to learn more about our Heavenly Father.
Tell Almighty God you accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior in your life.
Read the Bible and pray every day.
Go to a church that teaches the Bible, ask Father God to lead you to the right one.

I am so sorry that’s how your Mother sees you how it must have knocked your confidence and question your very existence.

My mom was steeped in alcoholism and drug abuse which as odd as it sounds, forced me in a strange place of being the mother to my mother. She was raised an atheist but my entire life God placed His children in my life who were always praying for me and I know that's what kept me safe.
She had a beautiful testimony. Shortly after I gave my heart to God after I was married, she had a stroke and scribbled on a piece of paper asking that my church pray for her! 3 days later she was walking and singing about how God loves her and that she loves herself!!! She quit drinking and started to come to church with me!! We had a beautiful relationship and studied the Bible together and praised God together, it was a truly wonderful experience. Sadly, seven yrs later she started drinking again and for the next 2 yrs did irreversible damage to her liver and brain. Her husband died and I brought her home with me (sober of course). She had alcohol induced dementia and for the next 7 yrs was in my care and I loved on her, forgave her and loved on her some more until she died in my arms in 2017. I will always cherish the time God gave us when we got to praise Him together yrs before when she was sober and the time we had together before she died. He knew that I desperately needed those moments.

What I really appreciate about these interactions is that his mission wasn't so much, "how quickly can I get you to agree with me and accept Christ?" But rather, "let me actually connect with these people and give them (at minimum) something to consider." Where there's pressure, people either lean in and argue/fight, or they retreat. Connections provide invitations. I really pray that these people come to know Christ through these genuine and vulnerable conversations.
When it comes to outreach, or us having in general discussions with people.
Being confrontational to someone is wrong, being confronting to them isn't wrong.
There is a very big difference,
One comes from a place of judgement, the other is telling them about the judgement.

I absolutely LOVE this channel. I do however disagree with placing the sin of abortion on "the left". Sinners sin, PERIOD. If I was not saved and you were evangelizing me and attached a sin to "the left" I could easily bring up sins committed by "the right". Sin is sin no matter your party affiliation.

Focus on loving God, living righteously through Jesus, repent daily because we are in a shameful state and make sure you share the Gospel with everyone.
