    You leave the APU GEN switch to OFF until the APU advisory light illuminates.

    Interesting video. thank you. One thing, I was a blackhawk mechanic/crewchief/T.I. for eight years. The target temperature you mention (TGT) is actually Turbine Gas Temperature. No big deal but a technical detail you may find interesting.

    I played the new campaign last weekend, mod and campaign is great in vr!

      VR and DCS go together perfectly. It’s just recording can look kinda shaken sometimes but I’m working on getting way smoother VR videos for everyone to watch.

      @@threenineline1 thats problematic, I tried to do it with oculus mirror but my pc is not fast enough I had additional low fps on the video

      @kruemel98 dang sorry to hear that, had to bump up my GPU, and RAM to be able to get the recordings to what they are now.

      @@threenineline1 "Move Order - Navy edition" Ed user files, it's the only campaign. Or in official uh-60 DISCORD there I got the link under mission thread

    Very helpful. one thing though, I didn't see you turn off the APU.

      Youre right! Mustve cut the part out of me turning it off after engines started up, thanks for the heads up

      I noticed that too but thought maybe it was automatically switched off or something.

      This is my old hotas, but it’s a Logitech X52 pro. I would say that it’s a good Hotas but I can’t in good conscious say that it is since the buttons and some dials started to fail in under a year.
      Spend a little bit more and going with VKB, or just jump into the deep end and go with virpil or WinWing. I’m running mainly virpil now. I can recommend that gear after using for awhile.

      @threenineline1  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      This startup procedure is from the makers of this mod, not the “real life” procedure. Also was never stated in the title or the entire video that this claimed to be how you start a Blackhawk in “real life”, just DCS life lol

      @@derrickrichardson9228 for sure bro and I appreciate that! I did happen to chat with some Blackhawk pilots at the last air show and they said I was very, very, close to having it be the same to their procedure which is really awesome to have them confirm this startup to their startup. What’s different to you though? Now I’m curious haha

      The APU sequence. Batt: APU Fuel: APU Control to On: APU GEN to ON. I don’t have the checklist in front of me. But I’ve started it enough time to remember. Only 1 APU gen. Two Engine Gens. A few other small things. Need to send DCS the Checklist lol.

    OK, my mind is up. I am not bying VR headset for DCS! Not DCS's fault, but VR set's trackers and software. This is TERRIBLE. As French would say it MEIRDE La'Terrible!! It is so disorienting. The angle roll on headset is absurd, and there is little to no damping on translation and rotation channels. This absolutely sucks!!! I love my DCS! But VR right now is just sucking balls!

    • @threenineline1
      @threenineline1  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The way VR gets me immersed was such a huge advantage for me. Don’t let this video be your guide to making an ultimate decision, some people get sick from playing in VR. If you have a friend that plays in VR try that out first before choosing.

    • @SteveSurgenor
      @SteveSurgenor 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah, it looks nothing like this in the actual headset, imagine if you will, that you're sitting in the aircraft with a normal helmet on, that's what you see, none of the jittery stuff that gets picked up in the 2d representation.
