I just heard this recording and can say confidently that you deserve more recognition. I am playing this piece for fun and can’t play it this well your recording was great. Thank you for sharing!
👏👏👏👏👏 A few days passed and I decided to give it a second listen. Def went much deeper into the interpretation this time around. Whenever listening to an interpretation I haven't heard before there's that initial knee jerk reaction to compare and contrast. "What's this?" it says, "I've heard these notes before but not like this." So it might take a couple listens to let that tendency calm down and I can just give space to sink into the new interpretation without any of that stuff in the background. Anyway, all that to say, I loved it. I'm sure I'll be back 😄
Bravo, Elina! A simply stunning performance which I'll have to listen to several more times. Looking forward to exploring the rest of your interpretations :)
Yes. And I feel, it needs a certain mindset. I hear a lot of notes, but why are they arranged in such a specific way?. It sounds like an exploration into a strange meta world, and the performer must recreate it within herself, even kick the boundaries. What is it? I am trying to figure out. Elina's involvement is stunning. There is no compromise.
@@RolandHuettmann I think the ideal scenario is to enter a trance-like state where your consciousness tries to embody the craziness of the music while making sure you hit the right notes hahaha.
@@Ivan_1791 yea that sounds about right. Of course after meticulous practice you need to relearn the piece for interpretation and know the notes subconsciously
@@RolandHuettmann it seems that you aren't making certain connections here. Do you feel any of the feelings, moods or atmospheres generated by this at all?
Thank you! Well, I don’t really know. I played it many times during several years on stage, recorded it as well for the film, had breaks for months, years, got back to it, refreshed, recorded again…. Hard to say tbh 😅
I can tell you're committed to this music and it's well thought out. For me, from the entry of the 1st theme the tempo was a bit slow, but overall good job.
Another special performance version of another great piece im discovering! Aside from Scriabin, Liszt, Ravel, and Debussy, are there other composers you are aware of that you may have studied that were also able to stretch the limits of the imagination to these levels?
@@ElinaAkselrud ok will check out the latter 3. I've tried Chopin I guess I'm not into that feel but maybe I haven't found the right pieces from him that I may be into. Also have you composed some stuff? I believe you would be capable of making some great works. Followed you on IG also.
Love this interpretation
Thank you!
Ein unglaubliches Stück, unglaublich gespielt. Danke und alles Gute für 2023!
Danke sehr! Guten Rutsch!

Вау, очень экстраординарное исполнение! Сразу слышно, кто ваш любимый композитор :)
У меня нет любимого композитора :) спасибо 😅
Ритенуто на 11:18 просто волшебное! Спасибо за такое исполнение!

Thank you so much!!
Very beautiful and unique left hand voicing at 2:08-2:14

Beautiful! How long did you practice before this was recorded? It turned out so good 😎

Wonderful vídeo, Elina!
But forgive me to say: the man was quite crazy, wasn't he?
Thanks! Well I’ve never met him myself 😂

Hopefully, sonatas 6 and 7 are on the way.
Indeed, Cap! 😅

Chopin, Schumann, Messiaen, Ligeti ✨

@@unknownportalmusic Thank you. No, I do not compose.
@@ElinaAkselrud ok. Have you heard Gaspard De La Nuit by Ravel? I think that may be a candidate for being of the greatest compositions ever.
Have you ever listened to Peter Laul's recording of this? I think you'd find it interesting, though not as clearly set out as yours
