Grand Vitara is also a lot more expensive than Creta diesel which starts around 15-16 lakhs while Grand Vitara strong hybrid is 20+
Petrol is 10 rupees more than diesel anywhere is in India. So Diesel always win.
Not applicable to UP now where GV hybrid is now 2 lakh cheaper,

You can get 32kmpl mileage from Maruti, but from where will you get Premiumness in 20 lacs ? 😂 G Vitara doesn't feel like even 10 lacs. Same interior, we are getting in swift/balloon. The same buttons we are getting in their Alto/WegonR.

Guys Diesel was never about average, i have ford diesel and torque it generates compared to petrol car combined with Heft of Diesel on road is simply unparalleled.. Petrol cars feels like driving toys... Diesel due to weight has excellent grip on road.
This has been a much awaited video so stop. I appreciate the way you both show the mileage at different intervals in the split screen. Let's hope maruti or some other manufacturer starts getting strong Hybrids in the mass segment as well
I have driven creta diesel sx tech 8000 km and my observation on mileage .
Best highway mileage 28.3 if driven at a speed of 75 and car is parked in a shade and ac doesn't need to work hard .If hot outside and car is parked in sum and then average drops to 25 .
But at speed of 90 + average is 22-23 .
Even if you drive badly highway average is above 20 .
City average 12-19 depending on traffic .
With how many people u driven ur car to get that much figures ??

Another trick for good mileage is tyre pressure should be 35 + in all tyres
Fair comparison should be between creta AT nd grand vitara strong hybrid coz vitara comes with cvt
I think the main reason of less efficiency on highway for a hybrid car is not the lack of regen, the engine is running most of the time since the vehicle is at high speed. At that speed, unless on an incline, the battery will not power the car.

In UP now GV hybrid is cheaper by 2 lakh, so a wise UP customer has one best choice is GV than diesel creta as there is hardly any difference between petrol and diesel prices

Also govt. Is after Diesel, and Age also comes into consideration in NCR, 10 yrs for Diesel & 15 yrs for Petrol.
Govt should increase this limit for Hybrids and CNG's.

My question is why not diesel hybrid? Diesel is already potent in delivering stable power for long duration in gensets/earthmovers/locomotives.

Day by day toll rates increasing, even if petrol price do not increase, by every passing year you are actually paying more and more for same journey.

Average around 12 km
10-12k fuel expense is fixed monthly . Earlier was planning to buy diesel then dropped due to 10 Year issue , showroom staff also wanted advance booking for diesel version as they said it’s not ready available due to low demand .

Even then why no one is just catching up and making a good alternative even if it's a complete replica of ERTIGA.
If ERTIGA is such a strong case then why is Maruti not planning to Electrify or Strong-Hybrid which makes it best of all worlds.
If not then very soon the difference between total sales of CRETA Vs ERTIGA is going to be too big.
No refill and you travelled 1450 kms with vitara? Company claims 27.97 kmpl and with fuel tank capacity of 45 ltrs, you covered 200 kms extra than what company claims (Which is highest obviously due to test conditions)?

The difference is that in 8 ish years you have to spend another 5-7L on the hybrids, which would not even be the total cost to run the diesel for so many years and you have to drive a 3 cylinder 😞.. with no comparison in torque
When we spoke to Maruti, we were told that while the warranty is for 8 yr on the battery, even post 10 yrs or so, the battery (of strong hybrid system) will return about 90% of the efficiency. So its not that owners will HAVE to change battery after 8 yrs.
Plus, cost of batteries is for sure coming down these days. Fingers crossed
People should start thinking about environment. It’s not only govt job. Pollute as minimum as possible. Hybrid cars should be encouraged. Yes power is less. But it’s fine
EVs are not at all environment friendly. They shift pollution from end users to source of power. Considering this, we all must oppose EVs.

it is pretty evident that Avg speed of the Hybrid is More which is 90+ and diesel is around 80 on highways.
What when the battery efficiency decreases with age of the vehicle ??
End of the day it is an Suzuki car so you can accept 18kmpl which is good for the car of this size.
Creta diesel AT and vitara zeta plus has almost similar features. Grand vitara strong hybrid is priced on par with diesel automatic of rivals.
Off course Creta, no second thought.
Hosts not talking about Hybrid's battery replacement, the upfront price you pay for hybrid vs petrol, diesel wins if you do more than 60% of highway journeys + nothing can match the torque of diesel engines, talking about resale value diesel cars would have significant amt of resale since tourist business would always run on diesel.

India needs bs6+ diesel hybrids with DEF, not powerless and low capacity petrol engines. Just bcz of diesel gate scam there is not need to stop exploring the benefits of diesel, also re purposing used cooking for diesel is way more environmental friendly than PHEVs.
1 parameter that should have been considered when the car is fully occupied and have luggage then Hybrid will feel underpower, and that is where Diesel engines outperform the strong hybrid.
Actual test is to count per km running cost
For manual lovers, diesel is the only option

I guess you can choose either of them. Maruti does not have a diesel and Strong Hybrid filled the void.
Petrol Engine life span is low compared to diesel.. diesel Has more torque ,, and its turbo.. We still love diesel..Intercooler turbo charged😍 ...( note petrol turbo is not torque than diesel turbo) one more..while driving petrol engine when we take off from the accelerator its speed decreased...😂😂 but in diesel it goes ..thats a huge diffence in highway..chek it

Hyundai creta diesel automatic will give less mileage compared to the creta diesel manual. So i think the grand vitara hybrid is the choice. But the price is higher for the vitara..

Diesel cars will have no resale value after 7-8 years. Hybrid will fetch good resale value. This year summer was horrible, govt will take drastic steps in future about diesel vehicles
For hilly state like arunachal grand vitara is very under powered in pick up
You got the wrong hybrid to compete, you should have taken Toyota hyryder hybrid. That would have given 30kmpl to 35kmpl for this 200kms

Build quality for Vitara is not good. When you are paying a hefty amount you need a car which makes you feel good and that’s where Creta takes a huge lead. Also sales numbers each month speaks volume about Creta success
Vitara is 4-stars and Creta is 3 stars
Old platform used in brezza was 4 star. They have to re-engineer to make it longer, so you never know whether it's 4 or 5 or 3 or even 2 star. Given their history, its foolish to give them benefit of doubt.
Creta is biggest tin can 😂 and maximum crash death is more in Hyundai and Kia creta and seltos....grand vitara brezza survived many crash and its owner survived

Brezza smart hybrid is more fuel efficient compared to others as it comes with naturally aspirated engine.
