One quick tip: It is harder to super counter or vanish when you are getting backshots from slower characters. Always practice with someone like Nappa, The final Shenron, Z Broly Legendary etc u get my point. Faster characters prompt these counters much easily.
I changed my player 1 and player 2 controls to be identical to each other and that somehow fixed it for me haven't had the issue since don't know why it fixed it
unsure if it's somthing I'm doing wrong or a bug. but alot of times I go for a grab and I'm already holding r1 and it will just punch. I've also tried to transform after pushing them back and it just shoots ki blasts instead
@@tooofficialdoughboiii5750 nothing you can do but Super Counter at that point and than Dragon Dash away if you aren’t that good defensively. You can do a quick stun rush combo and than grab the opponent with a throw and also dragon dash away over and over if you are lucky to stall out the opponent’s Sparking meter, but they can counter you back into the back shots combo if your opponent is good at countering super counters which is my problem. It’s pretty much nothing you can do if the opponent is good at countering so it all comes down to Ki management and always making sure that you have more Ki than your opponent.Plain and simple!

I keep running into an issue with opponents who use AOE ultimate attacks (like Kefla). They rush me with a Z-Burst Dash and immediately trigger their AOE ultimates, which always hit me when I’m in close range, and I can’t seem to escape or counter them effectively
During the dragon dash while the camera is turning left, let go of block and point the left joystick left THEN press block. You should face them then. Or use explosive wave before they come close.
Never in my life needed a YT video to help me when it comes to fighting games like this but man Sparking Zero is just completely different 😂 Definitely isn’t like any other anime fighter I’ve played 😭

Now how im liking it I’d rate it a cool 7.5 only because im not a huge dragon ball fan also after u learn the controls its not much different from other arena fighters but it’s definitely enjoyable. If ur like me I’d recommend picking it up when its on sale which shouldn’t be too long because Thanksgiving, Halloween, Black Friday etc is right around the corner

Unblockable supers and ultimates should have some kind of downside. So many of them are lightning fast, enormous, and actually curve. There's really no drawback to being unblockable at that point. There's no debuff, it burns your sparking guage just like any other ultimate, and you lose nothing from it. Just seems stupid from a design perspective. Some of them are even so huge, like SS2 Gohan's ult, that you can vanish and still get caught in it anyway because your character didn't move far enough, making it completely unavoidable. That's happened to me several times with the bigger beams.
I feel like playing online the timing is off. When I play episodes battle I super counter and vanish way more. Online I have to double tap to try and get the timing

1:36 I’ve noticed this before and so I think a better way to time it is by looking for that four point flash of light. I’m not too sure if this is perfect (and have no way of testing) but it does look plausible
You couldn't dodge Jiren's ultimate cuz you were right on his face, you need to take some distance to be able to dash out of it the moment you see the ult animation, but it is possible even if you're not already dashing
Since it’s a anime game I don’t think the devs will do anything about the rage quitters it’s not a comp fighting game like tekken or mk where they’ll give you the win for a rage

when you super counter you were holding left stick up and spamming the button, this is the most inefficient method. each super counter must be its own clean input, so you must flick stick up and press button at the same time. If you hold stick up and spam it wont work nearly as often

Super counter needs to be fixed. Ive spent 6+ hours amd watched multiple videos and only pulled it off maybe 8 times. I dont understand what I'm doing wrong no matter how many times i time it right....
Super counters aren’t the issue the true issue is they vanishing your s counter it’s so annoying and the stupid aoe ultimates which you vanishes and they still get you
So insane...this and sparking zero came out close together so I pretty much had to decide on one game for the time being and the closer we got the more I leaned to DBZ. Really feeling like a dodged a bullet now 🫠I hope the game does well still but in this era of gaming u can't really afford to to a start like this, people's attention span and patience is so low I personally said this game had about 2-4 weeks to get it right before it had permanent player loss,but 2 months?...idk,besides the HUGE HUGE boxing fans it's hard to imagine it having the same ceiling. I hope I'm wrong tho! Cause there's only one current boxing game so that could help it retain/regain some players.
Unblockabkes been a thing it’s not nothing new. Now hire many ultimates that are unblockable is a surprise tho especially beam ults those usually aren’t unblockable

Nah i can’t do all that this when I have to say the Naruto storm games did it the best when it came to the vanishing.the vanishing in dbsz the widow way to small or bug cuz I get them but times were I know when I should’ve vanish I don’t vanish it’s gotten bad for me now I’m not playing my cousin in the game just play with randoms that really don’t vanish as much but we can bang it out go all out and still have fun

It's basically a better Budokai Tenkaichi 3 but has a faster gameplay. So yeah, I do get you. I actually felt the same way when I first tried it when I finally got it and considering that I've played lots of BT too back then, so I felt like there's nothing really new to it (in a general sense). But gave it a chance again, tried getting myself familiar with it especially with the controls (I decided to use the standard one that's why) and tried challenging myself to get better especially with countering... So coz of that I started to get the hang of this game and now I couldn't get it out of my system anymore haha I guess I'm addicted now.

High speed evasion and super counter are fifty percent of the game and I can't pull them off(Controllably or reliably). I beat Goku's story day 1 by sparking spam and ki blast spam alone. The old tenkaichi games were NOT this janky and bad. This game isn't fun for me and wasn't worth the money I spent on it.

I did when I fought my friends online Saturday but I just remap my controller to my liking since I have the dualsense edge controller

Make sure you're neutral and hold vanishing assault input during the cut scene of the ultimate

The issue with super attacks Is that you need to know when the freaking animation ends, sometimes this is way harder than getting the timing done

What I do when going for the super counter is hitting the vanish button at the same time so I have counter measure in case I don’t time it right

If you put the training on combos you can get into the vanishing back to back .

It's a four frame window. Try Holding the left stick up and figuring out the timing for the square input. You don't need to flick the stick up.
