Yeah the game overall is in a good spot. There’s just like… a small handful of number adjustments they need to work on to balance the game across the board. Yes I know the game isn’t supposed to be balanced in a competitive way. But that was ALWAYS in regard to the strengths of the characters. Not specific hard coded mechanics of the game. Things like AIS and Insta Sparking need to be more of a resource investment so they can’t be spammed.

I've honestly given up on rank. Been having more fun going into random lobbies and player matches. But I definitely needed to watch this video. I was facing someone who decided to rush attack me 3 times i blocked it 3 times but after the 3rd time i couldn't move. Earned yourself a new subscriber
Okay Giants. 1. DP of 7 or higher is instant stun on attack. Gohans easily fit on most teams so thats an easy fit. But 4 to-6 get increasingly more stun. 6 dp characters need two hit only before Hitstun begins. 2. Shoulder bash spam DOES NOT WORK at edge of most maps. Top corners ruin that spam cheese. If you HATE giants, then use stages to your advantage. Avoid tourney arena//Hyperbolic Time Chamber if you can. You see sparkling? Dragon dash away as far as the ki will let you and fight on the border of the map(top of map can be broken good sometimes) 3. Giants hate up sweeps and low ki. I love making them chase me, since they dump tons of ki on dashes and ki blasts when skill stocks are low. Giants are easy when instaspark dash loses its meaning on map edge. Just keep them hitstunned for 100 years and make them play YOUR game. Good DP counters for giants include: Adult Gohan ssj2 Teen gohan ssj2 Broly ssj Goku//black ssjgod Vegeta ssjgod Gt goku ssj3 Kale Lssj Caulfia ssj2 Cabba ssj2 ....with honorable mentions to Krillin Yakirobe
Here's another fun tip: Similarly to the Super Explosive wave supers, you can use the short range beam supers (early piccolo's demon wave, adult gohan's masenko, etc) to stop the opponent from dashing behind you. The timing has to be a little bit more fine, but it's easily doable. You can also use these more easily in a combo compared to other supers. The reason for both of these is because these supers come out instantly no matter how close the opponent is, the character isn't forced to do that backflip first when the opponent is too close. Here's the kicker, they also only cost 2 ki bars! A lot of newer people sleep on these short range beams because of the range, but in my opinion, their unique properties make them even better than the long range beams.
Another awesome video , great tips . To add onto your segment regarding giants , I’ve found creating an opening from the cancer dash spam with super perception , then dash straight up to the ceiling , is a good method . They will get caught on “nothing” when close to the ceiling , giving you time to combo , teleport behind and then Schmoko them . Thanks for the video , looking forward to the next one 😁
Yeah that would be great, I was trying to do that combo myself but I couldnt recreate it. I will say I don't know how to do many combos since most of my time on here is learning to either deal with all these defensive options or learning when is the best time to use them myself.
Extra tip some characters when they transform (freiza dbz cell etc) they get health back so you should switch them out get their health back then transform to get even more back
Another tip on those ki blast Goku super has a destructo disc alongside 18 and Krillin on a charge you just have to be on the ground tap the flight button and mid air charge a ki blast
Combine the reset tech with actual damage combos (few hits with the most charged attacks possible, like one charged square one charged gut punch one charged lift up, follow up, then reset, then again) and you got yourself some insane damage combos (literally making 30% more damage in the same amount of time if you know how to damage combo properly as such)

It’s funny that you mention after image strike as a counter to giants cuz I use Wheelo as a counter to after image strike folks in DP battles lol, since with the exception of Vegito they are mostly low DP
i wish some characters had a more prevalent identity, the system mechanics are so strong the play style of the game feels quite similar with everyone and the nuance seems to only show up in the highest level
It's actually disappointing that you need cheese to beat he giant dash cheese... I could make a team based on this video to prepare me for everything else, but now I know I'll need to at least have someone with a little cheese to be able to hang consistently.
About the giants super dash, you can super perception it actually 100% sure of it i'm a S rank super baby 2 player and some S-Z rank players manage to super perception me when i go in for the dash into sweep combo
Super perception is your best defensive technique against giant spam that and trying to stay close as possible this way they can’t spam it from here do many combos that turn em around and end with blasts attacks
Yo do you know why some characters can recover from the hard knockdown at the end of combos? I've mostly seeing high DP characters just recovering out of it.

yup charged gut punch then charged rolling hammer to ensure you end up behind them to start the next combo
I had a metal cooler do a low sweep from behind, sidestep, then low sweep - repeat. I had to time a super counter to break out of it.

Instead of mashing buttons when your ki drained and can’t move move your joy sticks in circles it’ll help you recover faster then mashing buttons

Teleport allows them to vanish if they time it right. The tip he gave makes em have to land the super counter (which is insanely hard)
