hey, cool collection you have there ... I just started with Khador (started playing Warmachine with Protectorate and then added Cryx ... now it's time for Khador) - since Man-O-War units are the coolest thing I have two units of Stormtroopers and two units of Demo Corps, even a min unit of Bombardiers and a (self-built resin) female Man-O-War Kovnik who actually was kinda inspired by you ... so Kovnik Miranda =)
I even got all the new shinies in Man-O-War armour (like you did) ... I didn't see a drakhun in your collection -actually the only rider I own- who is pretty fun.
and I noticed you don't have any Rifle Corps ... I added them some months ago (to my Harkevich list) and was quite impressed - really fun unit ... and cool minis too - extremely fun to paint.
I really enjoy your videos - so I'm always happy when you give us new content! keep 'em coming please =)
The statement about Dannon Blythe and Bull being primed for a very, very long time rings so true in so many otherwise mostly painted collections. Great models; maybe they'll get a go-over in CID in the future. Nice collection!

Nice army! Your video reminds me of how many models I have yet to paint for my own nefarious Cryx forces. ;o)
Cryx has SO many models, I imagine you have more of a challenge ahead of you than I do. But then again, you could always fight for the Motherland instead =)
I should add that the major challenge for Cryx player is not to stab him/herself while assembling. Damned Deathjack and its spikes everywhere. And sometimes Cryxian design ideas just break logic.
Nice video nice Khador army too. I don't play but I wanted to. I actually got into Warhammer 40k back in 5th edition. I play Orkz so I came here just to see on warjacks scale size mainly. I always wanted to convert some warjacks into a couple Ork models. Mainly to make a Ork warbosss in mega armor using a warjacks.
I wanted to see size an scale because I didn't want to buy a warjack kit and the model be either too small or stupidly big

I get the reverse for that. I hate having, say, snow based models on a board that's supposed to be brick or city. I figured you were the same since you have one Man-O-War Demo Corps on grass bases and the other on stone bases. :)
...then again my army is Circle Orboros and between half their guys create forest or swamp out of nothing and shifting stones teleporting anything to anywhere I don't have the excuse :(
Very nice collection Miranda . It would be enhanced by the addition of Butcher 3 and the 2 war argus :-) . And some iron fang pikemen and some Black dragon pikemen :-)

He might, I haven't really played with him much though. I'm still inclined to stick Man O War with him rather than Assault Kommandos given the speed buffs and armor bonuses he has.
nice collection, thanks to your videos i got into warmachine and of course i fight for the motherland, of of my favourite mechs i use is the character ruin, very brutal mech. and it doesnt really need the butcher to be effective, thou i have butcher 3 and he is fun with his dogs a ruin
I think Zerkova might make good use of Ruin too. I mean, she did give him that jack anyway.
i miss your battle reports as well i think how you do them are the best way to do it.
Does Miranda have a thing against the Butcher? She specifically mentioned the Butcher, but if that's a callback to something I must have missed it.

I was going to mention the Iron Fangs, but you did it earlier. But what about cavalry?
I've got Greylord outriders to assemble, but I never picked up Uhlans. Maybe if they make those in plastic someday....
Oh, that I can understand. I have four metal Uhlans, and they were quite a challenge to assemble and make them stay so.

Thanks to your videos and unfortunately going to a games shop right after a warmachine day where Khador kicked ass and they therefore sold out of the battle box starters, I'm starting with Protectorate of Menoth. Unassembled so far...only had them a week...I know - should have bought Khador but I got all excited in the shop. Now I need to find someone to play against...subsequent to getting them playable anyway...cool video.
Thanks! Protectorate is certainly a strong faction. A lot of folks start with one faction and move around over time so don't feel too locked into where you start.
Protectorate was my first faction starting into the game back in the day. I always wanted Khador though and only find the time and money to start into them within the last couple years.

I agree thanks for the great videos, I have been watching them as I am just getting into the hobby. Decided to go with warmachines as my first miniature war game. Luckily i have found some cool local players that are teaching my and allowing me to try a few different armies. I am leaning towards Khador though at the moment. "FOR THE MOTHERLAND"
The culmination of years of collecting? That's a very impressive army! I'm still debating on getting into Warmachine as Arkham Horror has a slight monopoly on my free time.
Arkham horror miniatures, or just playing the six hour games? A friend of mine has Cthulhu Wars which seems like a fun game too. It's just hard to find time to do everything.
Yeah, finding time is always a priority. I've got a few Lovecraft games. The Arkham Horror LCG is fun, as well as Cthulhu Pandemic. As far as Warmachine, I've been leaning towards Protectorate or Cryx. The Cthulhu Pandemic game has some cool miniatures I'd love to paint. So many hobbies, so little time.
What kind of tips do you have for a new Khador player?
One that knows most of the rules but is struggling with the tactics of Khador

You said that you are looking for a MoW list. No matter what you put in that list, Kozlov is the man to lead it. Repo3, Fury and Pathfinder are exactly what you need. But still - you are lacking a second shock trooper unit and a dragoon. Just try to get them to be ready when the MoW theme list pops out in the next months!

Ha, I painted a fair bit but also got quite a bit of help just to get these models done. Flo hasn't painted my Khador stuff yet but that will probably change in the future.
Well, I'd use Flo if I had the bucks to do so. Her work is really good. I have been very remiss as It's been months since I touched a brush. :( I recently actually set up a sorta "home studio" to FORCE myself to do stuff when I get home. It seems that work and other things have gotten in the way, and yeah, I've been lazy. Seems SLEEP these days is what I most look forward to. :) :) :) But I SHALL paint again, and soon. :) Then if I actually get brave enough, I'll post something to you and Mr. Codex Dan to rip apart and rag on!

I'm really glad they didn't make her switch from Khador. Other than that I'm not sure, I haven't poked around her stats very much.

P Butcher, P severius and P Irusk are pretty much only casters I play. IDK I just like the simple/strong casters. Powerful buffs and butcher powerful fighter on his own.
Hi, what ink did you use to paint the Underboss?
Nuln Oil black wash. I put it on all my models.
Miranda, you really should start magnetizing warjack kits. Especially the newer kits which are really well suited to it. The Berserker/Rager/Mad Dog is quite easy to magnetize. And even if you never use a particular variant, my theory is better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it.
I tried doing this a few years ago and failed. It was late last year, early this year, that I finally figured it out. And now I magnetize all new jacks I get.
Conquest is the only one I have that is magnetized (just to make him easier to deal with on the table). Generally I found the process too much of a pain, plus there is the risk of losing the bits to switch out the models. I know it works for a lot of people, just not for me so much. Agreed! I scoured the interwebs looking for it; they're so nice that I couldn't help but grab the Burning Frost Tundra. My good friend and primary opponent recently acquired the Grassy Plains mat for his Cygnar...now I have a home field for the Khadorans. :)
I'm new to warmachine/ hordes. Is the old witch shown here the same as the one for the grymkin faction?
No, this version of her is only for Khador. The new "Battle Engine" version of her can be used for both Khador and Grymkin.

Gosh, good question. Almost all my jacks are metal (all but 3 I think), and most of the units and solos are too. If I were to guess I'd say 70%-75% of the whole army is metal. Makes for a very heavy bag to haul to the game store.

Butcher 1 is a beat stick every khador player should own. Butcher 1 is a beast .
If ya haven't got him ....get him ....doom reavers are a thing get 2 units of those.
Fenris another beat stick worthy of mention plus doomy ua
I'd use min units of uhlans and markov can work well as a stand alone solo.
Also another cool Merc to consider is alexia 2 my favourite Merc.
I have no intention of owning any Butcher model. I don't like his lore at all and he's too much of a "front toward enemy" style of caster for my taste. I know a lot of folks like him, but he's not allowed in my army =)

Please use Karchev sometime! he's such a good Jack-Caster, and oh god is he hard to kill with infantry.

I am! I usually lose poor Old Witch to fire, so maybe a battle engine version of her will hold up a little better.... =)
You usually want to field a Jack or Two more than you might normally with Karchev- he's the machine man, he doesent support infantry as well. Also, since he can be repaired, a Mechanic Unit can really keep him alive! If you do field mechanics, Man-o-war might be good infantry, as they're repairable as well.
Yeah, A nice big Chunky Machine to keep those old bones out of combat is just what the doctor ordered. Plus, she can summon Grymkin from what I've heard, so maybe we'll be able to see some Grymkin/Khador synergy.

I highly recommend Balok he is super Good! I run him in my Fiona the black list. he is far better than the widow maker marksmen.
If I can I'll try to run both.
If I'm running Strakhov1 I generally field Kell, the widowmaker solo, and a pack of widowmakers. Straky puts Sentry on the solo, and as a whole they can strip 16 boxes per turn from the column of your choice. Eiryss1 brings it up to 19, but she's a little pricey for what she does in MkIII IMO.

The only butcher I see Miranda owning would be the Butcher 3 anniversary diorama... because man that's a sweet Khadoran bunker it came with. I can totally see Miranda's Irusk standing on top of it looking over the army :)

Jack- Ruin, I know,I know, you don't play butcher, But even tho he got nerf a little in MK3 he's a great melee jack for the points
Unit- doomreavers, great for going against other units with hit points
Solo- man-a-war dragoon, he's Khador's SP7 light jack ...lol
Caster- Butcher3??? WHY??? It's because he kill Sorsha's dad? BUT if not save $$$ for old witch 2 😃
And my honorable just for having fun model, bear & dwarf, Lug is supper fun to play
All these models I play in my tournament lists, Vlad 2 being my favorite caster

Vlad 2 is pretty cool =) I'll consider Ruin down the road. The Man-o-War dragoon is also a good option. Doomreavers, man I don't know, I don't like adding much "crazy" to my army.

Vlad (arcanmight) + Doomrevers = POW 11 with 4 D6 damage on charge or POW 14 on feat
BUT your man hunters and your 2 units of eliminators work good as well try and get a second man hunter

I bought the metal box and never ended up assembling them. I think with the plastics now out I will just pick those up instead.
You should pick up the new plastic Iron Fangs, they aren't nearly as bendy and heavy and generally shitty as the old metals.
Yeah I'm definitely going to go for plastic over the metal ones, but I might pick up Rile Corp first. Thanks for watching =)
Just don't do what I did with my rifle corp and mask them for painting, forget about them, and have the masking putty permanently fuse to them -_-

I think you should make a video about why you chose khador. I mean circle and cryx is my go to army.
Seconded. Though I have three factions in my collection, Khador is and will be the main faction for me.
