Fobo bluetooth tire pressure monitor. $99 and hooks right up to your phone via bluetooth, never guess what your tire pressure is again. I love them on my bike. Ride safe!
I have the Fobo 2 on my Goldwing, and it has saved me twice. My valve stem on my rear tire( I ride DARKSIDE) cracked ( it happened on my front tire last year too)and the fobo alerted me while we were on the highway coming from Canada 2 days ago. I switched to metal valve stems to alleviate this issue. Goldwings have curved stems. The front valve stem lasted 85000 miles, and the rear 91000 miles. I have a 06 Wing, and they didn't come with tire monitoring systems (new ones do). Get you some Fobos they are well worth the price! UPPALEVEL "God up 2 Wheels Down"!! Blessings
Just subbed! Love seeing strong ladies on TH-cam showing others it can be done. Getting others to ride. Bikers have been predominantly men for a long time..
I can’t stand 95 especially going up north. Police normally don’t bother you if you’re under 10 on the highway and 5 on the residential road. You’re a beast girl traveling long distances, solo, and at night. You’re my Shero! Will you be attending the AFR in VA in July? Great video!!!
Heated jacket and pants liners work well for the cold. Get the ones that plug into the battery so you don't have to worry about the battery dying. When its not cold, they don't get uncomfortable. The ones I have have a Bluetooth app I can manage from my phone
I love night traveling. A lot less people on the road. I do my New York to Daytona 2 times a year. Keep up your riding. Glad your channel found her cause I’m a subscriber now.
Use 2 hand u should not hear air escaping once fully seated. That was prob 15 bar, or kpa. Make sure ur reading psi ( pounds per square inch). Doesnt matter if stem is top or bottom. Side not when getting new rubber (assuming front and back rim are close 2 same side) have them line up valve stems that way when front wheel is at bottom u know back is as whelk and saddle bags wont b in the way.... stay blessed stay safe queen
You should buy a TPS sensors that screw on valve caps there are two main types one type has a little monitor screen that clamps to the handlebars the other type has a app that goes on your phone and either one or not that expensive
The way you check the air pressure with that type of gauge you push down firm on hold try not to let any air escape. They have digital gauges check HarborFreight Home Depot automotive store..PS Shame on you that’s one of the most important things low air pressure can cause a wobble. Be safe.40 for both✌🏾
It’s was very dark and many deer out. I wanted to be far away as possible for them. 🦌 plus I hear that the right lane is best for us riders. Visibility wise.
Ok to point out you did 1 thing wrong with the pressure meter lol. You deflated your tires instead of actually reading them. Of course you are at a pump where you can pony up some quarters and fill up. And since you never checked your tires since you bought the bike, you probably wouldn’t need any fancy tools to air up your tires on-the-go. It’s like this when I bought my bike I specifically asks the dealership to set up the stock suspension so it can match my weight. However their book shows a diagram based on Harley’s weight chart for the spring to not bottom out. Meaning long as you follow the chart the spring should stay all the way to the top of the recoil level and never really fluctuate in between for a smoother ride dampening. Now the dealership puts it half of my actual weight which is a good thing. Because it then became perfect and not all the way from the top. But I got upset that I didn’t get it the way I wanted it because it should have been how the manual has it. Until I start tinkering with it myself and each adjustment and I ride it until I realized they use a method to decrease the dampening instead of leaving it all the way high. Smart guy. So have I trust the dealership, I wouldn’t need to find out their methods. And I would just go there on the next service. Same as you. You don’t need no fancy tools like myself and you don’t need to check your tire pressure lol. Because doing it costs you money and you probably never learn anything from it instead of just doing something someone told you to do. So best to leave it alone. When you do have low pressure, you should see a tire warning light on. It will be from 32 or below. As you ride your tire builds up heat and increase the pressure to 4 psi difference. Same thing for the rear. When you finish riding, after a good 8 hours you now revert to the cold psi reading which is -4 from the previous. Last is over 3 months because of the atmosphere conditions on changing at night when the bike is parked, during 3 months you should lose around 1 PSI. So a year with a tire would need some air without checking until the tire light came on. If it’s before, then you either had a patched tire that’s leaking or you have a puncture in your tire or your valve stems are somehow loose.
Hi professor Floyd, good to hear from you again. I hear you and thanks for sharing. So are saying you only need to check air pressure when the indicator comes on? Or is that just your tire experience?
@@HondaHarleyGurl To recap, Modern bikes doesn’t need tire pressure checks. If you do want to check the pressure, do it every 3 months. Or do it at least when migrating from Winter to Spring. Then do it from Spring to Summer and leave it alone until next Spring. Another thing cold is not your friend lol. Not that I expect you to ride in the cold, because to me you do not have the guts to keep on riding while your bones are chilled and you don’t want to look like a spacesuit person going to the moon. But then again I ride like that lol. So when it’s cold, the rubbers tend to have a steady shape. If they are touched they became either deformed or cracked, while cold. The main purpose of Rubber is to flex and stay the same shape lol. That’s any rubber lol. Then think about your valve stem. It’s made out of rubber, so why mess with it during the cold? So if indeed you do lose air, you would see the indication your tire needs air. But if your bike is not equipped with TPS sensors, you can either feel your ride, to determined if you need air such as wobble from the rear at high speed. Heavy steering from the front wheel at any speed. Also just looking at your tires you will see they just have a square look. Another signs of low pressure. What I’m trying to make you understand is do not check your tire pressure because you have the tools. For motorcycles it really doesn’t matter. You either have a routine inspection to check or you don’t and you wait when something happen and you fix it. If you check it should be every 3 months and you would just add air instead of checking. But if you are just checking lol because someone told you to check, just ignore the person because it’s not a big deal unless you notice something is wrong. A good tire loses 1 psi every 3 month and would need to be reflated to recommended psi every year or so until worn out or damaged then would need constant care every now and then.
@@HondaHarleyGurl My experience is vast lol. I’m an oldie from the days of carburetor and left side cranking. Nowadays people that rides has it easy with a touch of starter button and EFI for proper tune without having to choke in the morning or clean their carbs every now and then…
When you replace your tires ask for angled valve stems they’re easier to check and fill
