The last time I've been to Vegas was back in 97..So much has change..

The hotels are twice as big and there is so much more things and places to go in Vegas now. You wouldn't even recognize the strip or Frrmont street compared to how it was in 1997. You gotta come back and revisit. It will blow your mind.

Best Fremont Experience video I've seen on TH-cam. Great job, dude and dudettes(?), awesomely steady hands, and super crisp and clean..not inserting any annoying background music, and just simply letting the noise, chatter, and sound of the Experience was a big plus. I visit Vegas regularly, yet I watched this video from start to finish even though I know exactly what I'm going to see, and will watch it again and again. Big salute to you, sir//

I went to Vegas a few weeks ago. Freemont Street is way more fun than the strip right now during covid. Food and drinks are way cheaper than the strip and it's like a giant party

I remember stopping in that casino at the beginning to charge my phone lol back in February, different to see it not as packed as how it was when I went
I wrote the music for the VERY FIRST animated demo of the FREMONT STREET EXPERIENCE that was used to sell the concept to the city of Las Vegas and the casino owners.
After the premier of the animated video with MY music titled: BUTTERFLY GIRL...
the musician's union president came to the podium and said: "It was so nice to see live music recorded for a presentation like this."
Alan Howarth and George Fencl where there from our studio Electric Melody in Santa Monica, CA.
And they told the musician's union president that wasn't LIVE music, but an original composition performed by composer Gary Boggess totally on keyboard. He was shocked because my orchestral work was so realistic and articulated so well.
I was listed in the original prospectus as the principal composer for a budget of $90,000 salary for the 1st year. Alan Howarth and our studio of film sound pros were listed for the sound design, sound system design and installation for over $1.5 million in budget categories.
The entire FREMONT STREET EXPERIENCE construction cost was set at $58-million dollars. The meeting in February of 1993 closed with the goal of passing a tax on hotels etc... to help pay for the project. The canopy was to be about 1500 ft down Fremont Street... which is OLD TOWN Vegas. The Canopy of reflected light was to be 100 ft into the air over the street and a reflective flooring to be installed on the street.... to create a huge hall of light between the mechanical parade, the laser projections and the lights of the casinos. Seasonal shows were to be developed for Christmas, NYE, Valentine's Day, Easter, 4th of July, Labor day, Halloween, Thanksgiving... etc.
Fremont Street Experience is one of the most spectacular displays of lights, animations with a suspended parade on the planet. It is still being updated and developed as new technologies come along.
I had met with the original architects in Venice Beach at Jerde Associates. I had gone to several meetings to get the mood that I eventually focused on for the music to evoke the emotions that their models and drawings gave me. Eventually I was given the animated demo video of what the display and the canopy would look like... and from there I composed the music in ONE WEEK. We put the music to the video and THAT BECAME HISTORY.
Unfortunately in the long run, Steve Winn leveraged his team into the contracting role of the project and bought Jerde Associates out of the deal. Because Alan Howarth didn't have ANY formal contracts or agreements of INTENT on paper, we were just dropped out.
But I did compose, perform and record the 1st music for the Fremont Street Experience titled, BUTTERFLY GIRL, and I own 100% the copyright/publishing to it.

@@claudioalmonti4667 overpriced , horrible traffic, plus in my opinion I like the restaurants downtown way more than the strip. Unless you work in the strip most locals usually don't go unless it's for a knights game
