    These are great saws. I’ve put four or five tanks of fuel through my G660 since I got it and I have milled big logs with it. Absolutely zero issues.
    Yes, build quality is not impressive but it is functional, and has allowed me to do more and bigger logs on my budget.

      Considering most chainsaw last for 10 to 20 years with little maintenance 6 tanks of gas is nothing to base longevity of the saw

    Total price with 28" bar and Chain = $421. That includes $79 shipping. 35 to 45 days from China. Arrived in 4 days. Great video on assembly. Spot on.

    Just received my g660 blue thunder 3 weeks ago from farmertec. Came with the half scrench , ngk plug and it has a dual port muffler. I love the thing. Doesn't have the big pull cord handle but it runs awesome. 👍👍

      The only thing I don't like is the bar adjuster. It's crap

    Got mine in a few days ago. Kill switch wire came loose in first tank. Got that resoldered. High idle doesn’t work. Haven’t really needed it yet but will probably order a Stihl OEM trigger and control switch lever. I’ve got 3 tanks through it so far.

    The G660 PRO I bought has issues that Farmertec should have remedied by now. The chain adjuster is still crap and OEM and Hyway don't work due to dimensional differences. The worm gear spring tip was so long that it carved a trench all around the case housing. The result was the housing and oil pump were clogged with magnesium grains which reduced oil flow extremely, so much so that even set at maximum 2/3 of the oil in the reservoir remained when fuel tank was spent. Good way to burn up a bar and chain, don't you think? I bought it to be a working saw, not as a saw to be worked on. Maybe I'll have that now, but it's approaching three months benched and I've got 40+ inch logs to mill and buck.

    What's the difference? Between blue thunder and pro. Any performance? Stronger? Or is it just a dipped cover etc.

    What's the difference between the blue thunder and pro as far as performance

    Interestingly the made for foreign market OEM Stihl MS660 did come with the same style dual port muffler and no screens, so they must have copied that one. This saw looks way nicer than a blue one. Really if someone would just build a 660 as good or better quality wise as OEM alot of us would pay the price for better quality, just look at the prices used oem 660s are bringing now.

      I totally agree! Yeah used prices for oem right now are crazy high compared to what they were a few years ago.

    Is it normal for this/these saws to have residual gas in the gas tank and a light film of oil in bar chain tank when unboxed? I noticed mine has some when I unboxed it...

    With taxes and customs this thing is about $200 off the current MS661. Is it still worth it then?

    Man,a lot of haters in this comment section, I broke down & bought the regular blue Thunder g660, a bunch of parts from my Stihl dealer that are known issues, 30 or so tanks in & didn’t change anything yet, runs great, keeps time off my oem saws, have fun, I don’t see the problem

  • @mrtree1368
    @mrtree1368 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Crazy how we down play the negatives. You never got a name brand saw broken when it's new . Plus unless things have changed this saws require maintenance you never have to do to any other name brand saws . So unless you have mechanical experience and are ready to work on a new saw to keep it running right don't buy these saws . If money is really an issue just buy factory reconditioned or used

  • @ikesquirrel
    @ikesquirrel 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Lots of problems with these saws. By the time you fix/replace the cheap/broken parts that matter, you might as well buy the real deal.

      Ya think? Might as well spend three times as much? Nah... Not when it's just a tool you use to make a living.
