      Noclip Can you guys comment on the working conditions over there? Since you were there I thought maybe I could get an unbiased opinion from you because I haven't been hearing much positive things about actually working for CD Projekt Red. So I wondered if you could maybe give some inside into that.

      People cant believe this came from Poland, a second world country of the eastern block and being the best looking, most interesting, fascinating and creative game of all time beating any gamein almost every aspect of sound, visuals, characters, story, lore...

      They sort of missed a beat when they didn’t interrogate CDPR on why detective vision was included. Basically every quest becomes a case of interacting with every highlighted object ad nauseam instead of the player exercising a modicum of critical thinking.

      Every time I see a video with cut scenes from the game, or like when they released the 10 years anniversary cut scene, it reach me so deep inside and makes me want to cry... I mean, no game ever did this to me.
      I have no word to describe the experience it was to play this game.
      I'm just holding up and hoping to see Cyberpunk before 2077 lol. I just know this is the next one that will bring back those kind of feelings.

      I still haven't completed the last DLC. I'm at the beginning of it. I just can't bring myself to play it. If I play it, it'll all be over. Yes, I realize the insanity of it. Now I've forgotten the gameplay and it'd take me some time to get back into it. I'll go back to it someday. A plus is that many patches have been released since, fixing many bugs.

    So, you're the guys that has made me addicted to Witcher 3. I'm 73 and have had the game since it first came out. Today is january 18, 2024 and I'm still playing. The immersion, the graphics, can't do quest for riding or running through the forests all over the maps. It's so amazing !! I constantly ask myself (on 17th play through now),... how do they do that ?? I have over 1000 snap shots in a special folder, of sunrises, sunsets, full moon at night. You guys are geniuses. Thank you for a beautiful world and quests that takes me away from the wicked reality of this world we live in today. STANDING OVATION TO ALL OF YOU !

      Articles on the mod:

  • @crozraven

    I just realized, compared this with Fallout 4, the world building and the devs dedications alone are already massively superior.

    • @JesuSoup
      @JesuSoup 7 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Croz Raven exept the fact that Bethesda has way more interactivity like you can move a sword and every item in your inventory is modeled but in The Witcher when you drop an object it's just in a bag like really my sword fit in that

    • @JesuSoup

    • @giorgiannicartamancini3917
      @giorgiannicartamancini3917 4 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Having played the first one, I was also amazed at the consistency, the place was exactly as I remembered: the courtyard where you fight the frightener, the bedroom where you woo Triss and the fireplace were she stands unconscious, didn't even changed the frescoes
      Then when I saw the young witcher's grave and the dlc mine I just lost it, it was such a weird moment of nostalgia, I really wonder what it was like for those who played the original in 2007.
      And they pulled the same shit off with Vizima's castle, seeing the lilies removed from the pavement where you talked to Foltest or returning to the garden where you fight the Order's grandmaster, some next level dedication to worldbuilding is on display at every corner

    It's easy to get so into the game that you forget about the thought and intent built into the design, which I really appreciate being explored here. The internal build footage in particular is really great to see after hearing how iterative the world-building process is.
    The snowboarding bit is great, some 30 hours into the game I started climbing mountains and sliding down them just the same. SSX Witchy? The zero-zero bug is also a really fun anecdote, particularly with intercutting the differing perspectives on that situation.

      The part about the dialogue they should watch for sure. "it shouldn't be catchy since its just in the background" is such a great statement. On Besthesda we have arrow in the knee which has become a meme on itself.

    • @NatrajChaturvedi
      @NatrajChaturvedi 7 ปีที่แล้ว +12

      Robert Gridrod actually they aren't even that good at their world design its said far too often but that doesn't make it true. If their world designing was actually good, they wouldn't have food and whatnot from over 200 years ago just lying around for you to come and pick up. (and what the fuck do people eat in fallout3, where do they actually grow the food??? meanwhile CDPR is fussing over how food in area hit by famine should look like) Also, how the fuck do the trees in the wasteland have not grown back and taken over the unpopulated stretches? and this is just the tip of the iceberg really.
      They follow the rule of cool and their world is just meant to make you say "this looks cool!!" the first time you see it. The people who say this a lot are actually just people wanting to have something to praise about the game that they spent so much time with when they first played it. I played New Vegas first and to me the world design of both fallout 3 and fallout 4 is shit compared to it.
      p.s if its not obvious then I am talking more about their fallout games and not the TES games

    I recently replayed W3, because I got the Complete Edition. I didn’t know my save wouldn’t transfer, but OH WELL....I loved playing the game again, and did every single mission possible. I was completely sucked in all over again. The music, the world, the amazing story telling......its just so wonderful.
    I’ve never been a big fantasy person, but this game is truly special. I am waiting to dive into the DLC finally, until my Witcher jonez is unbearable.
    Hearing this music is killing me though. Its the dramatic White Orchard tune, and reminds of being there for the first time, exploring, unraveling mysteries about small towns abandoned due to some monster.
    I discovered so much I never saw the first time through!!! I never visited the Nilfgard camp on my first playthrough, so getting to do all of those missions was a treat. I didn’t elect to assassinate Radovid on my first playthrough.....what a mistake, because fuck that guy! The only things I didn’t complete were all those damn ?’s in the water around Skellige.
    Its hard to imagine ever not wanting to play this again. I’m thrilled that Nintendo-only people who think that BOTW is so good, will get to experience W3. BOTW was cool, but its not even in the same league as W3.

    God bless CDPR man. My favorite part is how they come from bleak grey socialism and saw western values and market opportunities come to their nation, and they worked HARD. And it shows. They are the hardest working most passionate devs in the gaming industry. The saying goes “Hard times create strong men, strong men create good times” and I believe CDPR embodies that in the gaming industry.
