WFAA's Marc Istook talked with Dr. Julie Fratantoni, a research scientist at The University of Texas at Dallas’ Center for Brain Health.

At 10:40 he mentions that having certain social media platforms for kids can be beneficial since we are currently living in a digital world. Which platforms exactly? Her response was to try and monitor how the kids go about using said platforms. But which benefits actually exist in a 8 year old having an Instagram or TikTok account? Communicating with their friends can be done on other platforms so I really don't understand the point being made here.
