I’m gonna leave it there for another 6 months
I'm sure someone will watch this video and offer me money for it.
@@UselessBuilds Dude! I would love to have my hands on that. In fact, I would offer to buy it and drag it home to Missouri if I didnt think my wife would murder me in my sleep.
@UselessBuilds 10 quid and a bacon and egg butty. Here in UK they are called suzuki jimnys
@@stu-b1 the Jimny is the evolution of the Samurai.
Always good to see a tracker/Vitara getting some love. Although you cant see any rust on the bodywork, I'd bet the farm on a rusty nightmare below. You can see the plastic sill (rocker) trims hanging off; that'll be due to rust holes in the outer sill where the trim fixings would have been.
The body mounts and area just rear of the front seats will probably be heavily rusted. The spotwelded floor panel joints just behind the seats will probably be badly rusted.
Inner sills, especially at the seam joints and where they meet with the floor panel.
Both front & rear bumper hanger frames will be in poor shape.
Rear seatbelt mounting points on the inner rear wheel arch.
Rear inner wheel arch local to the rear lights.
Petrol tank, petrol tank chassis mounting point.
Fuel lines, brake lines probably rusty.
Althought the engine runs, I bet that rust got the better of the bodywork and it was too expensive to repair.
This one spent its life in the foothills of NC and had no visible rust underneath it. The new owner was ecstatic that he could drive it around and up on to the trailer lol
@@UselessBuilds That's great news; so many get sent to the scrap yard over here in the UK due to serious corrosion.
Suzuki were very sparing with the paint and seam sealer on the spot welded lap joints.
I'm slowly working through mine and can now see light at the end of the tunnel but there's been so much fabrication and welding for a 1997 car with 35000 miles on the clock.
Super cool! I think you should make a series of videos on pulling and rebuilding whatever little 4 banger is in that little bugger!
Maybe if it was my car I would, or if the owner wants to pay me too, I would love to bring it back from the dead
I so wish I could find one of these decently priced for my next project..good work!
Might have another one here in the future but it needs an ecu and has and automatic transmission 😔
whats the update on the tracker, months gone by
Long gone, it sold well before I ever filmed the video, might have another one to mess with in the future tho
I think you should take over possession since its been your on your property since before you got there. You said 5 years? Thats should be long enough for a abandonement title
You got that right but I actually sold it to a friend of mine who's just being lazy and not picking it up, figured I'd get it running so he'd be more motivated to pick it up!
The 16 valve is an interference engine.
I own a 1996 Geo tracker 16 valves 2 door the same realli. But my look like a toy flare out on 10x15 wheels dp dish on 31 tires look bulk and tuff looking on 272 Delta cam regrind and aluminum crank pulley gd air filter and header and free flow exhaust system and believe he looks tuff and sounds tuffer and im being from Pa to California Florida Texas and all over never any problems cheap to maintenance and gd on gas trails snow mud all seasons and i do 100 miles a hour easy ride nice . Better than a 60 and 40 thousands dollar jp jjjjj 😁😎 gd on gas with mild head port .Plus a lot better than you cars on snow mud hill 4x4 .But if you want to run fast well i have my crx don't worry she do 100 miles in 3 gear and fast cut corner better than a porche and i build both of them with junkyards combos and parts with my own hands and im right now im on a trail in Appalachian mountains fishing from my Geo tracker 16 valves CCR born in the byouooooo 😊😊😊
