      Too often we only hear the negative in life. Too much criticism. Too much hatred and discord. I try to give positive praise when it is warranted. It helps build confidence, which, in turn, makes a better employee. Thanks and God bless.

      If a boss compliments you on a good job, then when you do something wrong it doesn't come off as being nit picky because you can take it as constructive criticism. The wrong stuff will make you learn to do it right.

    You are amazing, Ron. You took that car and put it back on its tires with nary a scratch beyond what it already had. Wow! I found myself wondering how in the heck the thieves had gotten that car down into that gully, upside down. I hope they were eventually caught.

    Noticed the tags - someone drove that quite a distance! Amazed how it fit through the trees there perfectly. No wonder nobody found it until now. At least the engine will be good - bet the cylinders were full to the brim with oil.
    Impressive how far of a reach you get and can still pick that car up! That rotator never ceases to amaze me! 😎
    Thanks for posting, Ron! God bless.

    • @RonPratt
      @RonPratt  5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Funny you should mention the reach and lift capacity. I'm currently edited a video where I used the Rotator and worked with a crane to set some heavy concrete culverts with the booms under overhead power lines. The culverts weighed around 39,000 lbs each. I was working off the back corner with the boom fully extended and at low elevation, which was pushing the tip (rollover) limits of my truck. I should have that video posted in the next couple of weeks. Thanks and God bless.

    Wow, you'd never see that just driving by (as far as I can tell)! I'd say it had been there for a week (or two), judging by the leaves on the underside. I think it's amazing how long Woven-Wire (and Barb-Wire) fence lasts. I can still get hung-up in it, when hunting on US Army Corps of Engineer's land, at Truman Lake (it's been what, nearly 60 years since the Corps bought all of that farmland?). Definition of "road", in Missouri: A space between 2 trees, wide enough to fit a vehicle (I firmly adhere to this definition, being a Jeep Owner) :) I always like how CAREFUL you are with a wrecked vehicle, even though it's more than likely a TOTAL LOSS. Professionalism and Perfectionism are the only 2 words I can use to describe you, Ron Pratt.

    Another zero impact recovery. All safe and no bad language uttered. God speed. From an ex-recovery operator (30) years. Now medically redundant. I find your videos relaxing and bring happy memories back, with a tinge of sadness that I can no longer perform a passion. Which was a salaried profession and in my own time hobby. motorsport heavy recovery and rescue.

    Another fine example of things going right, at least for your part.
    I had an interesting move this week. Drill rig going to an auction facility. 53' long, 9' wide, 10' forward projection. Tandem steering axles. 104,000 lbs. 18 speeds, and almost always had to use every one. What was supposed to be a one day move turned into three, and I was ill prepared for that. In short, it broke down 27 miles from the pickup location. They managed to pull start it and we got it back to their shop, but at one point I was starting to wonder what kind of rig would be needed to tow it. That 10' forward projection would have made it a challenge.

    Bro, I drove a tractor trailer thru the N. GA, Mtns for 15 years. Up ad down thru the steep inclines / declines / switch backs. Treacherous roads .All weather conditions. I never had a problem. I just took it safely and with the LORD and His Angels watching over me. I never had a problem !! Thank You JESUS !! HooAh !!

    Wow, nice job! Mike did the rigging perfectly, and you did the snakeout and flip perfectly Ron. Made it look easy, too. Thanks for the boom cam footage. Does the truck have it's own fishing license? Lol.

    When I was driving a wrecker in the mid-1980s, I was unfamiliar with the term "widowmakers" too.
    Also, when I was doing this sort of thing, we didn't have the cool toys (remote control) on a rotating boom.
    I did have a coworker who was teaching his dog to operate the winch controls on a Holmes 440, though...

    What did we do without the rotator! We had more scratches !!!!!!!! Great Job as always! God Bless and stay safe! Say hi to Mike for me! I've been hit by a widow maker! Knocked me out for a bit! 4" rotten Birch topping! Most of the time you don't hear em coming! Thanks guys! Who answers all your questions! Say thanks to your wife and family! They are the behind the scenes people who don't get all the thanks!
