Aurora Borealis on Geminids Night (Dec 13 - 14, 2023)

I was outside the core of the city's light pollution to watch the Geminids Meteor Shower. Coincidentally, the northern lights decided to put on a show all night long as well.
There are over 2000 photos used to generate the timelapse. All captured with a Pentax K-1 II + Pentax 15-30mm HD lens, between 9pm and 6am.

Thank you. I have had this channel since 2010 I think and have been adding videos off and on since then.

How do you keep your battery from draining fast from the cold?

It wasn't very cold, only about -5C minimum temp. I have 2 sets of lithium-ion batteries for this camera and most of the timelapse was shot with the first set only. They're very good batteries.
