that's the problem with these guys. They spend all thier time making vids about cool ninja skills, and not enough time making my holster. Still waiting....
Hey Lucas, I have a SCAR 17 with an ACOG/RMR Combo as well. I really like the way you set yours up with the RMR offset as opposed to on top of the ACOG. What kind of angled / offset mount are you running for the RMR? Just came across your channel. Love this vid. You have my sub ! Looking forward to new videos.
I hear that the KDG stock's metal plate causes more scews in the receiver to cant because it doesn't soak up as much recoil as the OEM plastic plate. Has this been the case for you?
At 0:53 and the next four shots, did you use an effect? because that looks so freaking cool, like an scene from a movie. So clean and fresh. Thank you. Professional work.
Honest question: Does the increased recoil and longer time to reset your point of aim negate the benefit of using a bigger round? If I, you or whoever can fire 3-4 rounds of 5.56 in the same time it takes to fire 2 rounds of 7.62, would the larger number of shots outway the benefit of the larger caliber?
Wow, I've been wondering this myself, couldn't figure out how to write it out properly. I'd assume so, there's a reason behind why higher-caliber rounds can really strike fear (and death) into your enemy's hearts, especially when the suppression factor and potential pass-through is there. It also makes the operator feel more confident I'd say, since you'd have your regular guys firing 5.56 and then you'd be like "Hold up, I'll get this guy" as you sight in your M39 EMR.
A larger caliber can be more effective at distance, and can compromise certain cover positions and/or types of soft armored vehicles better then an intermediate cartridge like 5.56. But I prefer a carbine cartridge for some of the reasons you specified over a .30 caliber DMR-type round.
Shot placement means more than caliber choice, if you mess up with 5.56 or 5.45 etc the penalty for missing a shot or hitting a less vital place isnt as severe because you can rapidly get another shot on target. Furthermore they can touch out to intermediate distances with tolerable effectiveness. Consider this SCAR a intermediate carbine/DMR that can go closer quarters if it needs to and do it well considering its a .308. However close quarters isnt where this guns shines. Kinda like a Jack of all trades master of none, but leaning more so on the intermediate carbine side of the line.
If I may.... a 556 is medically a smidge more forgiving, as you can get them to cover, evac, and treat said injury to the rear (gather valuable intel etc). 308..... They're pretty much DRT (dead right there)....damn. Not trying to be a dick, just my 2 pennies...

Now try it with grandma.
are we not gonna talk about how Lucas handles this 308 rifle so easy that it looks like he's shooting a 556. and while ON THE MOVE. what a beast
Cuz a SCAR 17s doesn't have much is any more recoil then a .556 pretty sweet sticks I really like mine.
@@CurtisJensenGames .308 is heavier than 5.56; heavier ammunition, and generally heavier rifle
@@AINUARKR Thanks!
@@CurtisJensenGames also, larger bullet, so when he shoots, the weapon kicks back harder

I have a scar 17, the recoil isnt that bad tbh, its like slightly more pushback from my aug but almost the same upwards recoil i feel like
This is by far the most beautyful thing i've ever watched..
love that red dot mounted on an angle, makes so much sense for fast target acquisition at close range.

Badass! Really impressive recoil control. Can't wait to see more.
Connorrd what recoil? It might be 308 but he's using an effective muzzle brake that does most of the work
Hahaha.. It's not an amazing muzzle brake. Comes stock with the SCAR 17.
How it got on the gun is irrelevant. FN liked the FSC and just put it on their guns. It's still an effective muzzle brake.
