𝗪𝗲𝗹𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 to my channel 👋🏾, where you are 𝙡𝙤𝙫𝙚𝙙. I'm Sakiyna - a shameless follower of 𝗝𝗲𝘀𝘂𝘀 and here using my platform to share my personal experience on the great things he has done for me. My content is for believers BUT also for non-believers or those that struggle with their faith (because I 𝙛𝙚𝙚𝙡 you - it's a journey). I hope my channel brings you inspiration, positivity, and joy (all glory goes to 𝗬𝗮𝗵𝘄𝗲𝗵).
In today's video, I show you an easy way to get the 'Limestone' Wash Look using regular paint. @HomeByMon inspired this video as I used her video to create my FIRST Limewash project. Wanted to share the experience!

Thank you! This seems like a very approachable way to get a beautiful watercolor finish. Gonna try this month!
@@irishhorizon Yay! I hope it turns out great!
where did you get the decor beside your plant!! the sitting man crossing his legs
@@mrhjnnfr So I actually bought most if it from a store called Souk Bohemian (it’s located in Atlanta at Ponce City Market). They had a sample sale and I stacked up on so many decor items/books/etc. This is their IG: @soukbohemian.
hello, so you did two layers or one? did you prime before? thanks
Hi :)! So I only used 1 layer and I did not prime my walls. As long as your walls are a white/cream color - no need to prime.
THIS LOOKS SO GOOD! Going to try it!
Thank you 😆. Yes - please do. You'll love it!
thanks for sharing. have you tried this method with two different colours, i.e. blue with green? most videos on this technique seem to limit to beige or cream colours.
I actually haven’t. I wonder if you do use 2 different colors, if it will end up producing another color. I used 2 tones on beige because I wanted to get the outcome of beige. But if you use 2 other colors: ex. blue + green, it will make a teal color. Would recommend if your goal is to make a new color.
what type of paint is this , like enmale , distempre. ,latex ?
Hi :)
I have no idea (not too educated on paints). The paint I purchased is from a brand called Behr and its a water based “interior flat” . I used the basic cheapest option.
Hi, it looks very nice, thank you for sharing. Do you think it would work with darker colours or I need to cover the wall with one of the wanted shades before? I am thinking to try something like this in terracotta.
Glad this was helpful :). That's a good question. I think it would work with darker colors. I recommend to get sample paint to try it out first though. You could also do terracotta and add a lighter color in (depending on the style you want).
What kind of paint is this?
I was taught this technique using a short roller instead of a brush, works wonderfully. Having the roller damp when starting is also suggested but I never re-dipped it. I think it does use more paint with the roller though.
Looks beautiful! Can you share what paint brush you used? I’m having so much trouble finding info on what kind and size to get. Thank you!
So sorry about that! The brand is, Linzer and the Brush is “Block deck polyester blend flat stain brush”. Any brush similar will work. This came out super cute!
Thank you 😊! I love it sm!
What is mean lime wash? What is different to French wash n color wash n Milano wash?😊
Hi :). So i’m unfamiliar with French wash and Milano wash. But limewash is a paint that has a suede/chalky like texture. If you Pinterest “limewash”, you’ll see the style.
I do not think its that bad
Thanks! Great video for what im planning.
Glad this was helpful :)
This looks so good!!!
Appreciate that :). Thanks so much!
Trying it now. Thank you so much!
Yay! Please let me know how it turns out for you!

Very nice.
Thank you :)!
Beautiful!
Thank you :)
Hi, what colour do you use for the base? Is it the same roccoco beige?
Hi 👋🏾. So I used Rococo Beige and Basswood. They will both serve as a base because you will apply them at the same time. I explain the process at 3:19 :)
@@sakiynajones okay so its on a plain white wall with no paint? Sorry i have a newly build house and the wall only have like a white sealent paint
@@itsjacksonthepug8583So I moved into a brand new community last year and the walls are painted, but its a white color. So, I painted over the white color and didn’t use a primer.
