Well done. I am building a new vise base in a similar style. I purchased the Norvise system and am building a base for it. I hope it turns out as well as yours turned out.
There may be a flaw in your design where the holes are for the scissors. The tip of your "very fine" scissors should not bottom out in the hole as it will eventually damage the tips.

Yes, that is a magnetic fly tying matt. Comes in handy when tying but I don’t use it alot
