Yeah, that's true. Didn't he also have the Lost Boys lose a few fights because he "didn't want to get bored" and if they did win all the time, he killed some?
Neverland sort of appeals to many not only because they wish they lived in a eutopia without typical adult responsibilities, but they're also drawn to the immortality aspect of it. Think about it, if you don't age, you never die of old age.
I have watched your film theories for years, Peter Pan happens to be one of my favorite childhood stories. Your research is amazing. I am 61 years, and I have just added Turneffe Atoll to my bucket list. Thanks for the research and dedication
One time when I was about 4 or 5, my mom took me to see the broadway show Peter Pan. We sat near the back row of seats, almost the middle. When the show ended so called “pixie dust” fell from the ceiling. At the age that I was, I believed that if I touched it that I would fly. I was so excited, BUT since we were near the back, it didn’t drop near us. I was soooo mad, that I threw a tantrum because I was angry that my mom didn’t get seats closer to the “pixie dust” (which was really just glitter) my mom told me the other day that I was such a brat that day. Lol now that I think about it, I was really spoiled. I bet those seats cost at least a hundred dollars.
considering this is a fictional story saying "star" instead of planet isn't too big a deal, but stars are huge celestial bodies of plasma self sustained by nuclear explosions of fusion and fission.
You're not alone. I thought this too. Figured they just magically flew into space. No joke. I actually thought Neverland was the star when I was little.
Signed in to TH-cam3 times and refused the iOS app twice just to let Safari be default. Never had such a contrandicative shove away from my personal preferences. Like i’m A sTrAnGeR here.
Theory: When the kids are asleep Peter Pan comes in they’re home and secretly takes they’re lives away (killing them) and then when they wake up from death they turn into ghosts and catch Peter Pan, since he is a ghost and Peter Pan makes them fly even though they could fly from the start and takes them to neverland which is heaven and they’re story continues on without them realizing they are ghost. The reason Peter Pan killed them was to get them to come to neverland were you never grow up because he was kinda lonely but in never land if you find out your a ghost you turn the age you were supposed to be when you were alive so Peter pans friends grew up because they found out, he got lonely and started killing children and taking them to never land but if you think about it He’s killing children when they are asleep and forcing them to be friends with him just to make himself feel better and not the others, he’s tricking them but that’s just a THEORY A COMMENT THEORY.
No it's not. In the original book by James Matthew Barrie is said that Peter Pan goes for a while with the kids who dies on their way to heaven so they won't be scared, but it's something different from Neverland, it's just the road to heaven and not the heaven itself. (Sorry for my bad English, I am from Italy)
Not-so-fun fact: Peter Pan is not exempt from the trend of kids' stories being _way_ darker in their original incarnation. In the original, Peter was the only one who didn't age, and he regularly performed cullings of the lost boys who got too old.
I’m pretty sure everyone knows that lmao But nobody cares we still love Peter Pan I’ve had a crush on evil Peter Pan from once upon a time for ages and so do most people who watch once upon a time so :)
I always assumed that too. Especially since the pirates' ship appears as a cloud in the sky and the sequel actually has the characters fly through space to get to Neverland (meaning Disney's version is in space). Since the stars bit was added to the Disney adaptation, I'd assume they always meant it to be in space.
from what i understand one of the way's they can form is when a volcano is formed in the ocean. when this volcano forms an island a coral reef forms around it. over time the vocano breaks down and the ring that was first the edge of the island remains
I'm honestly surprised you didn't figure out the direction then using the bell tolls you hear at the point where he says "until morning" to then calculate how long the distance he was traveling (in hours) then use some insane math to calculate the speed of his flight (using references as to how fast he flies past the Elizabethan tower and Westminster bridge) to find the rough area where he was and then do everything else you did xD
problem with that idea is that calculation would assume that they are traveling in straight line at a constant speed throughout the trip which is definitely not the case given the amount of times we see them zigzag and change speeds.
MatPat, I always enjoy your Disney theories as well your other theories. I've been thinking of a Disney theory that may just never be solved. So this is the question. What is beyond the 100 Acre Woods? Happy Theorizing.
Wolfknight1994 Do you count Kingdom Hearts or The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh as canon? If so, then the 100 Acre Woods is actually just a book, and hence has nothing beyond its borders.
ShadowBrony I guess we can say all Pooh stories are separate canons in that they exist in the imagination of children who play with them. The 100 Acre Wood has whatever the child (or book) wants outside its borders.
I THOUGHT WOULD U THOUGHT (well when I saw the beginning) Also theres a theory that Peterpan is like an angel of death. That goes and gets young souls to help them find heaven. That’s why the lost boys never age. That’s also why they are called lost boys, their soul is trapped in between heaven and hell. Captain Hook is the devil trying to draw them to him (hell) with his crew (demons) That theory kinda ruins childhoods so uhhh.... BOO 👻 BIES
I believe Neverland is the heaven where little kids go when they die. The author of the book had her brother pass at a young age and I believe that is where she took inspiration from. If you die you can’t grow up.
Another clue for thought: In the Disney Junior series "Jake and the Neverland Pirates," there is a scene where Jake, Izzy, and Cubny are instructed to go to London. However, the kids have no idea whatsoever as to what London is or how to get there. This proves that Neverland is another world entirely, as they are old enough to know what London is if they were normal kids.
“I loved all the Disney movies. EXCEPT FOR PINOCHIO.” SAME! That movie is so creepy. It scarred me for a solid seven months. I was scared of almost everything the creators presented.

What!! You joking or??
nope.
Yeah, that's true. Didn't he also have the Lost Boys lose a few fights because he "didn't want to get bored" and if they did win all the time, he killed some?
Dammm disney is scary
not sure, but i think maybe
Neverland sort of appeals to many not only because they wish they lived in a eutopia without typical adult responsibilities, but they're also drawn to the immortality aspect of it. Think about it, if you don't age, you never die of old age.
Literally before you even got to the details I was saying "It's in the Caribbean, right?" And whaddayaknow, that's where he says it is.
BlackMania thanks for the spoiler
BlackMania there probably was but with no jack sparrow, the black pearl, his crew and everything else that dose not exist in this world.😊
Hope they're ready for a new spike in tourism if they hadn't thought of this first.
yikes, have you been to belize??? its a literal nightmare set on the perfect beach
Disney's gonna buy the island and turn it into a park for their exotic cruises, Trust me, Disney's done it before...
SHARE H!S V!S!0N why are you disrespecting Belize?

I have watched your film theories for years, Peter Pan happens to be one of my favorite childhood stories. Your research is amazing. I am 61 years, and I have just added Turneffe Atoll to my bucket list. Thanks for the research and dedication
In the book Neverland didn't make everyone stop aging. Peter pan was the only character that didn't age.
Eric Stoverink so peter pan of the book hogged the fountain of youth all to himself
That jackass
Ludicrous Rat that jackass
And he killed the lost boy when they started to grow up
Yeah he’s a douche
Moonstone Lemons R.I.P.
I always thought that Neverland WAS the star on the right, but Oh well :-)
Depending on how you interpret the story, it is. You're neither right nor wrong :)
considering this is a fictional story saying "star" instead of planet isn't too big a deal, but stars are huge celestial bodies of plasma self sustained by nuclear explosions of fusion and fission.
richard conaway yeah. I can imagine living there. Nice and sunny.
Wait,ITS NOT?!
You're not alone. I thought this too. Figured they just magically flew into space. No joke. I actually thought Neverland was the star when I was little.
So you mean to tell me...that Neverland has been in my home country this whole time and that I didn't know about it?!
Is it just me or did anyone else think that never land was in the sky as a kid

Signed in to TH-cam3 times and refused the iOS app twice just to let Safari be default. Never had such a contrandicative shove away from my personal preferences. Like i’m A sTrAnGeR here.
Leah Rodriguez you know it's limited edition in real life becuase it's gona flood
They used to call me peter pan back home... I was so fly, I'd never land.
The reason Peter Pan killed them was to get them to come to neverland were you never grow up because he was kinda lonely but in never land if you find out your a ghost you turn the age you were supposed to be when you were alive so Peter pans friends grew up because they found out, he got lonely and started killing children and taking them to never land but if you think about it He’s killing children when they are asleep and forcing them to be friends with him just to make himself feel better and not the others, he’s tricking them but that’s just a THEORY A COMMENT THEORY.
so wait, wouldn't that mean that he also known that he his dead and would have died along with them?
my brain hurts from the spelling
and maybe you should section it up

Theory:
Neverland is just heaven.
THE KIDS ARE DEAD.
PETER PAN IS AN ANGEL.
A creeper angel
No it's not.
In the original book by James Matthew Barrie is said that Peter Pan goes for a while with the kids who dies on their way to heaven so they won't be scared, but it's something different from Neverland, it's just the road to heaven and not the heaven itself.
(Sorry for my bad English, I am from Italy)
Giorgia Talle why did you comment the same comment twice and like before I still can’t understand you .-. ._.
Peter pan thins out children when they don’t fit in the tree entrances
Yes, an angel
Except Wendy and Co. Go home....
Not-so-fun fact: Peter Pan is not exempt from the trend of kids' stories being _way_ darker in their original incarnation. In the original, Peter was the only one who didn't age, and he regularly performed cullings of the lost boys who got too old.
I’m pretty sure everyone knows that lmao
But nobody cares we still love Peter Pan I’ve had a crush on evil Peter Pan from once upon a time for ages and so do most people who watch once upon a time so :)
peterpan was an angel that held kids hands on the way to heaven (nverland) thats why they never grew up, all of em were DEAD
Hes not an angel, hes the grim reaper
Bro...
Was is just me or did anyone else think it was on a different planet when they were a kid.
I always assumed that too. Especially since the pirates' ship appears as a cloud in the sky and the sequel actually has the characters fly through space to get to Neverland (meaning Disney's version is in space). Since the stars bit was added to the Disney adaptation, I'd assume they always meant it to be in space.
I actually thought it took place in a different world. Like they went inside the star and transported 😂😂
for me it i though of it as like a different dimension or entity. ( on the movie they fly towards the star that reveals the island)
I thought it was literally the star which doesn't make much sense I guess I just didn't really care enough to think about it
dude, i thought they just flew into the star...
ide love to think all of your videos just so happen to seem this way but...BUT...THEY ALL MAKE SOOOOOOO MUCH SENSE?!!
Plot twist:Neverland is the Netherlands
(My second most liked comment)Thank you guys
I used to think that too :)
That was a joke I always used to say to my sisters
Hahah
Woah
dont do Drugs kids
neverland doesn't really look like an atoll with the mountain in the middle. i think it is more likely that is an volcanic island
Yeah. Matpat is weird sometimes
from what i understand one of the way's they can form is when a volcano is formed in the ocean. when this volcano forms an island a coral reef forms around it. over time the vocano breaks down and the ring that was first the edge of the island remains
maybe the volcano never aged because it's neverland
All lies. Yesterday a guy in a white van told me that neverland was in the back of his van and that i would get anything i wanted if i got in.
Lol
quadro beam lmfao
quadro beam was there candy?
KIDNAPPER ALERT!!!!! That was 100% a kidnapper.😠😠😠😠😠

MatPat's just mad that he doesn't own his own amusement park in his backyard.
I mean... wouldn't you be?
Damn Mat, that intro hurt.
Volcanron ha
Damn that intro got dark fast
I felt like the beginning of this theory had a lot of concrete evidence only to end in a ton of speculation
I thought the whole fountain of youth thing made it more believable
I saw you in arabic and english dbz channels and oppai senpai too!
Dragon Ball Black you can copy and paste that comment onto any film theory video
Dragon Ball Black hooh Peppa Peppa la cerdita Peppa escribiendo la formación
Dragon Ball Black I agree
When I heard Carl Azuz's ( the background voice for the toys r us bankrupt news report) i was so happy
@Amber yeah I did
I'm honestly surprised you didn't figure out the direction then using the bell tolls you hear at the point where he says "until morning" to then calculate how long the distance he was traveling (in hours) then use some insane math to calculate the speed of his flight (using references as to how fast he flies past the Elizabethan tower and Westminster bridge) to find the rough area where he was and then do everything else you did xD
problem with that idea is that calculation would assume that they are traveling in straight line at a constant speed throughout the trip which is definitely not the case given the amount of times we see them zigzag and change speeds.
pete lee yeah i know but... It's matpat
Panda's Void at that spead he wouldn't have leaft England until morning.
Panda's Void the problem is that is not the Westminster bridge but tower bridge, which is at almost a right angle to Westminster bridge
Spent so much time proving you got the name of Big Ben right that you managed to give the name of the wrong bridge
Ben Henocq wait did he really xD that’s hilarious
He really did, that was the Tower Bridge
Holy crap he called it Westminster Bridge. Kill me now
*like actually, no sarcasm*
omg he actually called it Westminster bridge
MatPat, I always enjoy your Disney theories as well your other theories. I've been thinking of a Disney theory that may just never be solved. So this is the question.
What is beyond the 100 Acre Woods?
Happy Theorizing.
Wolfknight1994 Do you count Kingdom Hearts or The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh as canon? If so, then the 100 Acre Woods is actually just a book, and hence has nothing beyond its borders.
+Local Maple, are you some kind of Pooh loremaster?
101 acre woods
If we are to take Pooh's Grand Adventure as cannon, its a whole lot of fields, forest and odd looking caves.
ShadowBrony I guess we can say all Pooh stories are separate canons in that they exist in the imagination of children who play with them. The 100 Acre Wood has whatever the child (or book) wants outside its borders.
You're missing a key piece here - "straight on 'til morning." At the speed they were travelling, could the children make it to the atoll by morning?
Ok, did anyone else think this theory was going to be about how Toys R Us is Neverland? Just me..? ok
wtf
Maddie's Hatties lol my first thought was that but then i remembred that would be imposible
BOO 👻 BIES
Not only you xD
Nope
I thought the star itself WAS Neverland. At least, that's how it seemed in the movie...
A lot of navigators used stars to get their heading, so most likely they just followed the star's direction, rather than flying to the star.
IncoherentRampage same
I guess not
IncoherentRampage omg same
I believe Neverland is the heaven where little kids go when they die. The author of the book had her brother pass at a young age and I believe that is where she took inspiration from. If you die you can’t grow up.

Ah I found you
Another clue for thought: In the Disney Junior series "Jake and the Neverland Pirates," there is a scene where Jake, Izzy, and Cubny are instructed to go to London. However, the kids have no idea whatsoever as to what London is or how to get there. This proves that Neverland is another world entirely, as they are old enough to know what London is if they were normal kids.
Mickey Mouse is secretly THANOS...
