Not the biggest fan of concept style restomods, but I can truly appreciate all the work that's put into this beauty, not to forget the freaking Nascar engine! It really leaves me highly inspired and motivated to have my very own build some day. Incredible work. Thanks for sharing this with us, Shawn and the Autotopia crew 🤟🤟
I’m not gonna lie it’s just too nicely done for me, I mean it’s perfect and beautiful and I have nothing bad to say about it but I like the old original style interior look better, and an engine bay without a bunch of covers over everything. I bet that nascar engine rips though! 👍
I was going to say this. I appreciate it from a Sema build point of view, but I feel like these cars are more art pieces than something you would want to drive. I like a clean engine bay, but not a fan of all the shrouds.
Agreed. It's like driving a delicate sculpture that cannot be scratched or dropped. Shame the NASCAR engine likely won't roar much. It's beautifully executed though. But if whomever buys it does let it rip...hats off to them!
Charley Hutton is a name I haven't heard in quite awhile. If I'm not mistaken, he used to paint for the late Boyd Coddington. He can definitely lay down some beautiful paint...
Very happy to see Australian builds showcased in US, this Cuda was one of my favorite cars at SEMA this year. Next up I suggest from here, from New Zealand. Maybe Kruzin Kustoms' amazing Chevy C10?
When did cars become static displays? The wheels aren’t square after all. Always wanted to put a detuned NASCAR engine into a lightweight street car… that can be driven!
Having owned a 70 Cuda I have massive soft spot for them, the build quality is insane, every area of the car has been massaged, the fabrication work is outstanding, the endless list of details and design process to much to list. Love the motor but trying to tool around looks like it’s a handful to drive in the short driving shots, idk if it’s the massive front tire or it doesn’t have power steering, but between that and the clutch it looks like a workout and the plugs would be fouling out without it being run through the rev range often! Honestly just my opinion I’m not a fan of the dark greenish/black with the red interior although the interior is off the charts beautiful, because of the body lines I prefer the E-body Cuda’s and Challengers in black like your brothers car. This car reminds me of a supermodel, both beautiful and slightly temperamental she’ll let you play around but will bite you if you’re not careful!
@@audriusbaranauskas6227 🤔 700'000.- ???! Soviel Geld würde ich auf die Bank legen, damit ich einigermassen gut leben kann, wenn ich pensioniert bin. Nie im Leben für ein Auto raus werfen.... nur Idioten machen sowas.
Nothing beats the shape of a 'cuda , on the other hand not crazy about such a sanitary engine compartment, it reminds me of my low-end scale models kit where too many details were missing.
I watch this channel religiously. TH-cam has turned off notifications for new uploads for me. And to think, I thought it was just happening to gun channels like mine.
dude i had to watch this a few times. this is to me like soundbody said ive got a plan to take ques from the hands down the last shop that changed the game and then use my idea to tweak it enough that it really is something that says they might be the next builders to change the game. people dont honor heritage. like barris roth then boyd to trepanierand known its mike and jim .they raised the last bar and this remingds meof a similar style but even better . wicked beyond compare
My mind tells me this is a _powerplant,_ not just a normal human engine/motor. Outstanding build for the open road and track. Congested city driving will make your left calf twice as big as the right in a week or so. 🙂
2:44 ok I get it now. When I saw this car at SEMA I said what the heck is with the dual shift knobs. I knew it wasn’t a lenco or something like that but I couldn’t figure out how it worked.
Havoc is cool but I I like this one even more. If I had to complain about one thing which is something I usually don’t do on this channels comments is I wish I could see the engine more instead of all the show car style covers on everything. I get that a show car is exactly what it is, but having a smoothed engine bay , but a slightly more raw engine would have been nice. Killer car none the less.
I must say this is one of the nicest cars you've ever had on this channel! It is truly stunning, body, trim, engine bay all done perfectly what a machine! A proud Aussie knowing some Australian influence also went into this build! Just a shame you couldn't take it for a spin!
Totally agree that keeping more of the Original Barracuda styling looks much nicer, then that over the top Challenger. I’m not of fan of the shroud work over the engine in the Cuda though
Next level stuff here! With the amount and scope of metalwork we're seeing now with these top-level resto mods... Wondering if someone will go all-in on a '70 Cuda/'69 Camaro mashup. Some of the lines actually seem close enough... Probably already been done in virtual world... 🤔Oh, and always great content here at ATLA!!!
Really don't care if you are a purest or not. If you can't really appreciate that car, then I don't really think you could appreciate the original. I sure hope the owner takes a video of driving it hard. Or I sure hope whoever buys it puts that thing on the street. Cant really think of a better_ different motor than that. By the way. My inspiration and passion really was originally for GM brands ( Chevy, Pontiac especially ) Then drove by Pleasant Valley Ford just outside Poughkeepsie NY and saw a new 1998 Mustang Cobra Convertble in triple black. I said to myself that must be the nicest. Looking new American car. I have seen in forever. So I bought it shortly thereafter. Not the fastest car in the world. But it turned heads and got so much attention. I have been through approximately forty or so american rand a lot of imports. But chrysler is the only car I never owned. Lots of Mopar boys where I grew up.I beat all of them with my 1997 Trans Am. Motor replaced by 1971 455 SD motor, bored .60 over. Turbo 400 auto with 2000 rpm stall converter an 4.11 rear end. Heavier than just about every car that raced. But it hooked up immediately. After 90 or 95mph. ol' big block was out of breath . But I shocked all of them every time
Let's put ugly a modern constapation green on a classic car, with a chipotle red interior. Those are the colors I find in my pants when I eat to much PF Chang's. I really like the stance other than the tires have to low of a profile to offer a fluid design. I really like the stance and the lowered look was definitely done right. Other than the color combination being tacky, great job!
1970 Cuda ,no mods necessary ,they look perfect the day they rolled out the factory ,once you start dickin with em you can ruin the entire look ,factory for me ,i dont blame the owner for being ready to sell ,i would be too
Excellent craftsmanship but good gosh those over-sized wheels really cheapen the build. The hood looks great with the vents but the underhood air routing is subpar. Also, a resto-modded interior to the nines with window crank handles doesn't cut it.

Right there with you. I love the small details on this, but the wheels and air ride just ruin it for me. Otherwise, it has a Singer 911 vibe.
Agreed. It's like driving a delicate sculpture that cannot be scratched or dropped. Shame the NASCAR engine likely won't roar much. It's beautifully executed though. But if whomever buys it does let it rip...hats off to them!
Yeah true this car is too nice and perfect for show . I like driver cars not show cars
That color combo is too sick! Sweet looking ride.
Somewhere a stagecoach is missing its wheels.
Charley Hutton is a name I haven't heard in quite awhile. If I'm not mistaken, he used to paint for the late Boyd Coddington. He can definitely lay down some beautiful paint...
Charly painted also the andy leach build cuda that was also on autotopiala

What a STUNNING car; love the sound & that color is out of this world. The first thing I thought when I saw that color was gun metal green!
When did cars become static displays? The wheels aren’t square after all.

I did too, should’ve kept mine, now I’m kicking myself.
Still got my cuda. 😊
14:44 that crease in the seat would drive me insane. 😂
Good eye. I'm sure that's not the only flaw on that car. Totally unacceptable.
Normally I would say you're nitpicking, but in a 700k show car - yeah it's a flaw.

Stunning car. Charley is definitely one of the top painters, many might remember him from American Hot Rods years ago.

Insane beautiful work on this non driving lifetime trailer queen.
So freaking cool they kept the classic style push rod Dodge engine.

This thing is ridiculous. All I can say is WOWZERS
Trailer Queen.
In 70 age 16 as a dealer car porter drove Cudas new remember a similarly green one. Wicked $700,000 Nascar Cuda💯
We all know that is an investment car, but no driving it😮, thank you for sharing Shawn!
My mind tells me this is a _powerplant,_ not just a normal human engine/motor. Outstanding build for the open road and track. Congested city driving will make your left calf twice as big as the right in a week or so. 🙂
This is a superb built Cuda
Mechanical art in the highest form!
Yes!!! This build was done with finesse but does retain its face of what it is
Plymouth Cuda !!!!

It’s always a good day when you guys post Mopars
but that 67 1000hp Chevelle.
Off the charts build! ✌
Absolutely amazing..
Beautiful. Thanks for the car and your time. Thanks, Shaun.
Thanks for watching. Wish we could’ve driven it some but it is a total show car
Best 1970 Cuda by far, beautiful car and attention to detail is exceptional! 👌
What an Elegant vehicle, would love to see it on the track!
Would prefer to see more relatable, down to earth builds.
THIS IS A ABSOLUTELY STUNNING BUILD
One Bad Ass Cuda❤
HOLY SICK FISH BATMAN. 😂😂😂😂AZ USUAL AWESOME CONTENT FOR ALL the car people 😮yeah you Shawn can can easy easy 😊
Very beautiful
Stunning
Very badass car. Awesome presentation. Well done as usual!
Oh lord- what a damn sweet piece of art!😲
Beautiful ride !
Only thing I would add to it is some beefier rear tires.
This channel has THE most beautiful Cars I've ever seen.
This car is absolutely ridiculous. Lots detail and time in that beast not to mention a small fortune
Its Green - I love it ! Please somebody give it a home and drive it
Absolutely top notch....... Mind blowing shawn....... Greetings from india 🇮🇳🤠🤠🤩🤩🤘🏻🙌
I aways said if you put to much money in a vehicle, it becomes worthless.
What good is a car that your afaid drive it ?
I bet Leno drives his F1 more than this thing gets driven!
When you build a car at this level you can do you want, but it's not your car, your money your time so why worry about it.
@baibureh8816
Not worried one bit .
Car looks amazing, but I'm not sure about the wheels ... personally prefer something with more function in the space, but incredible work overall
Yeah, C3 Corvette door handles would have looked good, in the same position on the Cuda, as they were on the Vette.
Nothing like I fish BARRACUDA!! 🐟 😎👍🏻🇺🇸🦅
Gorgeous looking Cuda!!!!
OH MAN.........JUST AWESOME!!!
Dude that is one sick car👍😊
Would be funny if he just said "fuck this" spins it up to 5k, dumps the clutch and blows those rubber bands off down the street.
Need too see this back for a drive
Great video. I had a seventy cuds when I grew up. I loved that car. But this thing is a beautiful.
Awesome CUDA
Fernando's 67 1000+hp Chevelle is just much more my style. Sorry I just can't get over that one.
That is ridiculous! Will be back for the drive. Later Sean.
This is a stunning vehicle everything is perfect
You did drive it awesome shows all ypur shows THANKS!!!
Gorgeous coda
I really need this guy to build me a car like this same wheel pattern everything else differently
That is a sick ride!!! Reminds me of Joe Rogan’s Cuda! I remember Charlie Hutton from his excellent work with Boyd Coddington and Foose!!
The three on the tree we call it in Australia.😊
Personally I'm not a fan of "rubber band tyres" on muscle cars.
Having said that it is a beautiful build. 😎
Totally agree that keeping more of the Original Barracuda styling looks much nicer, then that over the top Challenger. I’m not of fan of the shroud work over the engine in the Cuda though
Amazing build...and that engine!
The cuda is a awsome car in its original, you dont have to restomod a masterpice in style.
Alright somebody didn't ruin another mopar!!! Lol good job on the motor and overall genuine look!
Insane Mopar!
Dam thats a dope as build 🔥
I love there style of building very original!!

What an incredible Cuda. Well done.
Beauty and the beast on 4 wheels.
Nice cuda 👍👍👍
Just Wow !
Beautiful car Shaun. Now find one that you can drive and show everyone how a cuda likes to be driven. 😊
BadAss Mopar
That is radical!
Good job with all finishes!👏👏👍🔥

Would love to show you my Cuda!!
apart from the overall excellence, that paintwork is really something! It looks like it's still wet !!! Super!!!
Sweetness
Beautiful car.
"Slammed" cars look like their suspension is severely busted, but I have the hots for the 'cuda in general.
