Did anyone else see the defense attorney's mouth fall open when Judge Boyd announced 10 days in jail as a condition?? I swear, I could see the defendant's heart beating out of his chest when he was cuffed. And he has a new charge..yikes!

He and the lawyer got sideswiped at the end! Their looks were pure astonishment!
The scarey part is that the Judge feels the need to give "the speech" to a grown adult. To me it is common sense, but I guess some people need it explained with crayon.
Even on zoom and in her office there are flowers and a purse! The look on that attorney's face when he got 10 days was priceless. He might have been better off with the first attorney. She seemed to have better control of her client and a better grasp of just who Judge Boyd is. Even at that 10 days is nothing. I think the Judge just wants to show him what prison is like if he continues to mess up. Might not work though he seems like a slow learner.

Thank God getting back to a real Judge - been watching the Karen Read "trial" (farce) and was losing my belief in the judicial system - Judge Boyd brings me back to reality. Love her. ❤❤ This guy's attorney is trying to get this guy to hush up... 🤣🤣😂😂
It's concerning that his lawyer justified his leaving the county. Doesn't matter if it was one minute away from his house. It's still leaving without permission. And dude looks like he's ready to snap. Clearly he hasn't changed.

He was shocked he received a 10 day sentence. If he keeps up 'forgetting' he will be doing years. Sounds like a 2nd DV offense is coming. Why is it so hard for some men to not hit women? I know a lot of men who have never hit their spouses/GF.

Wow, ive never seen a DEFENSE attorney ASKING for a no contact order and anger management classes! 😲 Good for her though, because there is NO excuse for assaulting ANYONE never mind a pregnant woman,whos carrying HIS baby!

Abusers never stop abusing. They only get worse. I'm speaking from experience as a facilitator of a support group for abused women. I wish judges understood the facts.

You can tell he wasn't expecting to be put in handcuffs and going to jail. He taught his would be able to get probation and leave from the court room today. He got a rude awakening when those handcuffs went on. Next time I guess he needs to ask if he can leave instead of just going out of country.

He got those 10 days in a awful jail house its violent gang infested in Texas. He looked scared and sharked. Dude better not violate again. She'll give him 8 yrs fast.
These people with anger issues - how many times do they get probation until someone is dead? Maybe a retired judge out there and answer that question.

I watched abuse between my parents, as did my brother, and believe me, that is NOT what I have ever looked at as love. I may be weird, but family violence scared me, so badly, that I found my fathers loaded gun, and hid with it, on my chest, inside my parents box springs, when I was 3.

Why are prosecutors so apathetic,they don’t seem to care just negotiate with defense and go to the next case. Over and over again it goes on.Thank goodness there are a couple judges who actually read and ask questions. In this guys first case CPS involved, you would think the state/ prosecutors would at least find out why this guy has an open case. Judge Boyd at least asked some questions to which this defendant who looked to be on drugs,fidgeting all over, made up some BS. I think that’s a detail the state should know and be actually prepared for court. I worked as a critical care nurse details were extremely important,it’s astounding.
