To answer your question in why she offered to waive community service hours if they get the Covid vaccine is because this was when covid was still an issue (albeit the tail end of covid restrictions) and she knew there were zero to very few places that were offering community service positions, and she HAS to assign community service hours as part of the probation requirements, so this was one way she could figure out a loophole. She wasn't forcing people to get the vaccine, she was giving them an easy way to solve a problem.

Thank you for challenging the normally wise Judge Boyd's very unwise use of the currently fashionable, 'woke' term 'pregnant person'. It's deeply disappointing to see Judge Boyd let down the female sex, by adopting the misogynist language of gender-cult.
Gender-cult seeks to pretend biological sex doesn't exist, and that human beings can change sex as easily as changing clothes. They can't - sex is binary and immutable. You can 'identify' as the opposite sex if you want to, but every cell of your body is male or female from birth until the day you die. That is biological fact - and court rooms should be forums of fact, not political propaganda.
Only adult human females - ie women - can be pregnant. That gender-cult tries to deny the reality of womanhood with ridiculous phrases like 'pregnant people', 'menstruating people', 'chest-feeders', etc, is a huge insult to the female sex. Every single one of us was born to a WOMAN. Without the unique ability of the female sex exclusively, to conceive, carry, birth and nourish babies, none of us would be here.
Respect is due! It's hugely disappointing that Judge Boyd, who so frequently quotes her mother's life lessons, should disrespect every woman including her mother, by using this ridiculous and deeply misogynistic term. #SexNotGender

You see over and over how guys like this keep getting away with family violence until they end up killing the woman and / or children. It's terrible how often women drop the charges, bail the guy out or ask to lift the no contact order. More needs to happen to protect women in this situations, give them therapy so they understand why they should get away from someone like this and give them help if they feel like they need to stay with the guy because they have nowhere to go. He's probably getting more support from the state then the victim.
And women get to keep kids when they’re crazy and then they’ll unalive them when they might finally lose custody. One such mother just did that on FaceTime and had her son tell daddy goodbye then unalived him and herself.
The courts need to be more proactive in general.
It’s always funny to me that abusive aggressive people who have no problem taking their anger out on their ‘loved ones’ seem to lose their ability to speak clearly in front of the judge - so you believe for a moment that he was whispering and mumbling when he was physically assaulting the mother of his children? Also, ‘she only has me’ typically means ‘I’ve isolated her from any of her support system’ and ‘she doesn’t want to follow through with the charges’ means ‘she probably knows how bad it’ll be when he’s inevitably back out’..
The pathetic excuses for men who assault and bully women, are cowards. So their timid presentation in court is only too predictable.

He also pleaded “no contest”, which to me says he’s taking no responsibility and doesn’t think he did anything wrong. I would give him more time than if he pleaded “guilty” and acknowledged his crime. He’s going to do it again and again if allowed.
And she gives him probation. As usual. I knew she would. Had it been a stranger, she'd have given him time.

They hardly ever get anything. My father sent my mother into labor with me. 32 weeks pregnant. I had health issues following that birth. Nothing happened to my dad. My own brother beat his pregnant gf. Zero accountability despite us all calling the cops. She was 8 months. He even rammed her car into an ulta store follwing that beating. Nothing.

I have found it quite useful to see the "back to back cases"! I had so many questions, but seeing the trajectory of these defendants in their sequential cases finally gives me a through line that makes sense. It is quite enlightening! I hope they all are shown so we can get a good understanding of human nature and the courts...

It's hard to fathom the number of people who have true medical issues that use illicit drugs and risk causing even more damage to themselves, while asking their doctors to do everything to stabilize there health. I just don't get it.

The victim shouldn’t have to come to court once evidence is obtained showing abuse. The state should proceed. Victims are petrified to testify because their abuser will beat the crap out of them or even kill them if they testify against them. I had to testify in an abuse case as a nurse and the defendant flew over the table and attempted to lunge at me as I was testifying against him. The little girl, who was 8, was trying to protect her mom from this worthless piece of dirt. Fortunately the court ruled custody to the father and she could visit her mom only supervised without the stepdad. He couldn’t even control himself in court. He scared me, and I’m an adult!
I’m not surprised he failed probation. I don’t believe I’ve seen a DV defendant be successful on probation on any of the TH-cam court channels. And he has a heart condition but uses drugs and alcohol? What a waste of humanity and community resources. He’s an adult. But he needs his daddy to keep him straight? Grow the f up!

Wow... I was REALLY disappointed in the judge this time!
He got lucky tbh. I know he had said he had heart issues so drugs weren’t an issue, but that’s obviously not the case. I think if he had messed up in any other way like violating the protective order, or got caught up doing anything violent, the judge would have given him time, but she’s giving him a chance,and I hope for his kids sake, he gets his s**t together.
