Also forgot to specifically address it but KR TD being upheld was because the ball was recovered in the end zone by a teammate. They did not rule that the ball had crossed the goal line, just that the TD was confirmed since it was recovered by a Duck in the end zone. Just wanted to make sure no fans blamed that call for the loss.
Duck fan here, The Broncos are Legit. Your RB could start and dominate at any place in the Country. I was very impressed by the entire team and the OLine. Good Luck the Rest of the year, Hope we can have a rematch in the CFP as long as Oregon gets its Oline issues resolved. #gOducks
I think the loss of Teubner from the Targeting call had a much bigger impact on this loss than you seem to think. His leadership was missed, particularly in the 2nd half!
Zion Washington stepped up well in his stead and Boise did not give up a ton of deep balls. Boise’s defense played well also in the second half and was not the reason we lost so Tuebner’s loss was not the reason we lost.
Glass is not half empty. It's 95% FULL!!! GREAT game by Broncos, an epic game in a playoff atmosphere. EXCELLENT analysis, Bronco B, one of your BEST. We are BACK.
Boise was one of the toughest team Oregon will play the rest of the season. Maybe 2 or 3 teams tougher and not necessarily in the same way that Boise was. I expect Oregon to go undefeated
Special teams gave up 14 points… if we held that to 7 or none we would have had this… still a great game. And I can sleep well with only a 3 point loss to #7… Jeanty is the real deal 2️⃣ 💙🧡💙🧡
As a Duck fan, I only {kind of} disagree about one thing. In my opinion, Oregon does not deserve to be rated that high. I know that Oregon won, but I think that Boise St. is playing better overall. As far as Jeanty go's, he is the real deal.
@m8s4lif Oregon definitely does. Boise showed they also deserve to be a Top 20 team. This was about Boise proving they were who they’ve always been prior to Avalos not Oregon underperforming
@@BroncoBleymaier I just don't think that Oregon has proven that they deserve to be rated that high. I do believe that Boise deserves to be in the top 20. Oregon did manage to defeat a really good Boise team, but they are not playing good enough to be in the top 10. Maybe later this year, but not yet.
If Ducks didn't fumble the ball twice which immediately resulted in 2 TDs for Boise, the game wouldn't have been so close. You can point to pivotal moments on each side that is something else happened this or that would have been different
All I wanted was a good game. No injuries. And to not be blown out. Im so damn proud of our defense for stepping up! Jeanty did what he needed to do. We had some key drops from the receiver's. Nonetheless, I have a strong belief we can repeat as mountain west champions ! Especially with Wyoming falling to the vandals. We have nothing more than to build up to the team i know we will be !
@@BroncoBleymaier Thank you man for always being so damn positive and straight forward with the outlook of our program! Love tuning into your videos brotha 👏 the small details mean so much man. Keep it up man! You'll be a household name for damn sure 👌
What a game! Ducks improve just enough to win. Disappointing that the national media is looking at this as a Duck failure rather than the Broncos being a legit good team. Even though I was hoping Gabriel could bring another Heisman to Oregon, Jeanty is the front runner now. Dude is amazingly gifted. But now the only thing I’m worried about for Boise is Northern Illinois and Notre Dame winning out. 13-0 NIU with a win over 11-1 ND just might edge the 12-1 Broncos despite the much tougher schedule Boise will endure. This Boise team reminds me of the 2008-11 teams that were stout. They’re fiery, tough, and passionate. It just feels right for them to make the first ever 12-team playoff. Go Ducks and Go Broncos! 💪🏻
Typical national media response. It’s up to Oregon now to prove them wrong for both our sakes 😂 Pains me to say it but I guess we got to say Go Ducks 😂😂
@@Br0ku Totally agree, I did NOT like the national storyline that was basically crapping on Oregon. It really downplays a super-competitive effort by two very good teams.
Overall, things are looking up. I also feel like Boise State is back, and that’s really great. We didn’t lose because of Madsen, but he’s not the guy. Oregon adjusted in the 2nd half, and he couldn’t cope. We need to see what we have in Nelson. If Jeanty ever goes down with an injury (knock on wood), we’re screwed. Madsen is a fine backup, but that’s his ceiling. We need more than that from the QB spot if we want to make a legit run at a CFP spot
I think more than anything the play calling and receivers struggling to get open and catch passes are the biggest issues. I’d like to see what Nelson is capable of as-well but I don’t think Madsen is the root issue other passing game struggles right now
@@BroncoBleymaier that’s fair to a point, but how many passes were tipped or batted down? He also missed a wide open Lauter for a TD at the end of the 2nd half because he couldn’t see him. We need a playmaker at QB, not just a game manager
@mtolich17 he missed him because he was outside of his read window. Madden had already looked left and right and was coming back to center when he saw a WR on the back line with time running out. Not as easy a read as fans think and he only had a few plays batted down no more than 4 if I was counting right and I actually think it was 3
I hear all of these ducks fans saying that the ducks didn't play well. I don't know what game you were watching but they looked pretty good to me. They didn't play a perfect game but played well enough to win. If we didn't let you run all over hell and back on 4 plays we win that game by 2 or 3 possessions. I'm proud of my Broncos. They layed it all on the line and competed well. GO BIG BLUE!
Oregon didn't play a good game. They committed multiple penalties (9), and the online is still struggling due to injuries. New guys haven't gelled. They did what they had to to get past a well coached Broncos team, but it wasn't their A game.
There was a weird energy from both teams this game, you could see on their faces that this game was going to be a knock down drag out slug fest til the bitter end, obviously was hoping for a win but goddamn I'm proud of the grit and the fight from this team. To have lost from special teams mistakes is gut wrenching but overall seeing how much passion these guys were playing with i have no doubt they're going to do big things this year. LFG Broncos
@@simonhitt5791 "Weird energy" is well said. I think it extended to the coaches and play calling for both sides as well, at times. High pressure, high stakes game with some brilliant plays and some critical errors, for both teams.
Great coverage and I agree with your positivity on this one that BSU & fans alike should hold their heads high! The Football Power Index is interesting after this game - BSU slid up 9 slots to #30 and OR dropped 3 to #13! What does that tell you? It's encouraging to see BSU as the highest ranked MWC team with UNLV next in line at #61 FPI. Also, despite Madsen's mediocre game vs. a good OR Defense, his QBR is still decent at 62.3 (ranked 55th in the nation) ahead of Dillon Gabriel at 53.5 QBR ( ranked 66th.)
Re: blitzing. It was HUGE. Not only got the sacks, I think it impacted their play calling and Gabriel's comfort in the pocket. I was mad about the big passing plays, but you're right, that's gonna happen when you're blitz heavy. I think this is our D identity: ferocious blitz and looking to force fumbles.
Just found your channel. Good stuff! I wrote, and got lots of harsh pushback, that our play calling was dull, uninspired, and not historically in BSU style...lots of pre-snap movement (not just a tight end trotting to the other side), over loads, WR groupings off the end, fly sweeps, tosses, and a couple trick plays. Like you said, putting our cute little qb all alone in the backfield and not faking a hand off to the BRST RB IN THE NATION was very lame. Koetter's play calling reminded me of Hawk in Boulder...smash mouth, straight ahead, 1950's style offense, and it did not work for Hawkins. I agree that our defense deserves luxurious accommodations for their effort, but maybe a commendation would be appropriate as well.
Offensive player calling especially in the run game was very vanilla. Not what I would have expected from DK although I liked the first half when we were consistently using RPOs
That’s what I’m wondering. Gaines is a animal tho but I don’t think playing anyone but jeanty and Gaines was smart vs Oregon bet we see breezy next game
@hunterj6290 yeah they said at the press conference earlier this week he got knicked in camp. Nothing specific but clearly not ready to play although Gaines made it sound like he was close to recovery in a recent interview
The question on of the day for sure. Obviously it starts with eye discipline and positioning on coverage but in the mean time it might just be wise to kick it out of bounds or the back of the end zone
Agreed until they can prove they can stop a return kick it out of the end zone. Perhaps they will get some good practice in against Portland State. Special teams needs some special practice!
@BroncoBleymaier I know this probably takes up a lot of your free time but have you ever thought of doing a shorter form vids for all of the colleges or just the big 10 something to think about I like your style keep up the good work
@cesarnava8616 I used to man those videos a couple years ago. Was doing a top 10 games of the week video every week which gave previews and predictions for what I consider the top 10 matchups and they were 10-15 minutes long. However they took alot of work and the view rate was very low so I stopped. I do make videos on the college football world as a whole when major news or rumors pop up so it’s not all BSU stuff but obviously it’s a heavy focus on BSU.
Good take BB. Thought the game was good, just wish we could have pulled out a W... Although I'm happy it was as close as it was -- not that there are any moral victories :/
There usually aren’t moral victories but this was pretty close. I said before this game anything less than a 2 TD loss would be a win and this was a massive win in terms of reputation on the national scale. Huge game for BSU. We are BACK!
@hunterwalp3944 somehow they slept through that and all of my screaming and jumping around the house during the game 😂😂 Guess we tired them out good before we put them to bed 😁👍🏻
I think I over-posted to this excellent video, but I have one final thought. Jeanty says his goal is to break 2,000 yds rushing this year; right now he's averaging 230 yds per game...so he's actually on pace to break 3,000!!!
Couldn't help but notice in the first few minutes that you said, our defense and offense could keep up with Oregon. Strategically leaving out special teams.
Team played well. Secondary stepped up better than last weekend. Special teams let the team down. Before the season started if you told me that we would lose by a last minute field goal I would have taken that as a win. Loss hasn’t hurt us for a playoff spot, but it’s disappointing to see 2 plays make a difference between a win and a loss.
Even with the loss, I feel good about Boise States performance. For a road game as a 21 point dog, they stepped up. Yes, special teams and the secondary were poor. BS pass rush was the reason Oregon didn't exploit the secondary more. On offense, our receivers simply could not get open. Madsen was constantly forced to try to thread a needle. The passing became a high-risk, low probability play. This team can't be all Ashton Jeanty. Need to see more offensive contributors.
Spot on, I just wish on that last BSU drive after they got 4-5 yds on 1st, they should have put the ball in the best players hands (AJ), he was their bast chance to do a final clock draining drive while scoring last instead of giving it right back to O for them to do it, when its close put the ball in his hands, he has more determination than anyone else in the stadium.
I was 1 boise state touchdown away from being dead on my score prediction, so close lol. I actually kinda disagree a little that we outplayed them, to me they were the better team but not by alot but i dont feel bad about losing at all because Oregon straight controlled that second half. Jeanty is the best offensive player in Boise state history imo, pure talent wise ive never seen a player like him
I almost feel like if we would have won this, then somewhere in the middle of the season we would lose a game we are not suppose to, so this will for sure keep them humble and hungry, and hopefully lessen the chances of a more costly loss later.
Catching Duck when they are struggling to gel as a offensive unit is great timing for the Broncos. Ducks will clean it up and gel making this a phenomenal loss for BSU come end of the season. Bronco fan should be rooting for Ducks to run the table
@BroncoBleymaier no excuses, just what it is. Ducks got the W, Bronco took an L. I was actually being complimentary and stating that if things start to gel for Oregon, Bronco L will ultimately turn into a W in the eyes of most. Don't get so sucked up.
Some perspective on those kick returns...those were SPECTACULAR highlight reel plays by elite playmaking speedsters, doing what they're supposed to do. Give Ducks credit. ALSO: had we won, Oregon would be saying "we woulda won if not for those two fumbles!" Both teams made huge plays, both made huge mistakes. Great game!
@@BroncoBleymaier Absolutely true. That aspect of the game HAS to be fixed, and Spencer made it clear that it will. I'm glad Coach gave a vote of confidence to Stacy Collins, though. They've got two weeks to work on it, and I don't think we'll see a meltdown like this again.
I thought we were going to get blown out, however we played our asses off and should have won! Mad dog’s size hurt us a bit. Weird play calling at times. Special teams needs to rethink its strategy. Great game, we are back!!!
I feel like Madsen should have ran with the ball more instead of trying to force completions. I know he is more of a pocket passer but positive yards are better than incompletions. Felt like we hit a brick wall in the 2nd half. I kind of wanted to see Nelson come in on that last drive just to see what he could do, you needed points and Mad Dog was a little lackluster for me in the second half. I did however like what he did in the first half.
I wish Malachi Nelson can get his chance. He adds more dimension to his game than Madsen does. No disrespect towards Madsen but Nelson should at least have an opportunity at some point. But yeah, they need to do something about special teams smh. It's been a problem for several seasons.
He also adds a higher possibility of turnover which Boise didn’t have any of in this game. He may have a role later on in the year but this was not the place to play him and it wouldn’t have impacted the results
I was surprised we didn't run a little more being tied, getting the ball with 4 minutes left, got 4.5yds on 1st down, I thought we would pound them because their D was tired, we could have done the slow physical drive to the final winning field goal.
@wapiti128 yeah that would have been better especially when overall the runs inside did not work although we did break that 70 yard TD run inside so 🤷🏻♂️
My problem with Maddog in that game was he didn't hit Lauter in the endzone before the half. Didn't even see him wide open on the left side. Settled for a field goal and I think that sapped a lot of the momentum we had going into halftime. Otherwise he played solid. Didn't like the pick 6 and that the defense touched the ball more than the receivers. But 0 INTs is still 0 INTs.
Yeah tough to come back to the left when you’ve already gone left to right and come back to center. Would have been great but also not as easy a read as the announcers or some fans may think.
Before I finished the video: I wanted us to win, but am thrilled with this game. We proved we are the best G5 team for the playoffs and that we can compete, so I think we now control our own destiny in the playoffs. If we go 11-1 then we get a playoff spot bc of how Liberty played last year.
You were Dead wrong. I predicted 35-34 BSU because I saw how Oregon defense gave up 5.1 yard per carry against Idaho and knew that Jeanty will at least get 7 yd per carry. And for the Same reason I don’t think anyone else will Slow down Jeanty as long as we get a little more efficiency with our QB play. He will Run wild on everyone else the entire year.
I predicted 28-49 Oregon so I was actually only a TD off your prediction and the final score for Boise’s offense. Offense did exactly what I predicted it would if you watched the preview. The defense is the factor that I did not see coming because I didn’t think they would actually follow my keys to the game but they did and because the coaches saw the same things I did and made the same corrections I was calling for our defense was able to have the performance they did.
Everytime Dillon Gabriel was given time he was on the money. But his vision in the back field is horrible. He doesn't see any of the blitzes coming from his vision side. Oregon gifted this close game. They had a moment to take over and gift wrapped the comeback. Justin Herberts brother almost blew it for the Ducks.
Broncos look great overall! Very disappointing as that game was in our hands. Special teams giving up 14 points lost that game. Broncos are going to roll through the Mountain West!
Aside from the final score, and Madsen having a weak day, it's nothing but positives to me. Great team effort overall, and I expect us to only get better as the defense gels. Special Teams needs work. We were supposed to get a beatdown but instead lost on a last second field goal, against a top -10 team. Need to find ways to get Dubar involved, if for no other reason than to rest Jeanty some. Dubar and Gaines resting Jeanty may wind up being a crucial element this season.
I’m not a former college/pro offensive coordinator but not eating up the clock running the ball that last possession was not a great decision. They could not stop #2 and he could have pounded it to deep in UO territory for the game winning FG. We have one of the best FG kicker in college. The defense looked pretty good for the most part but how is it that there are a couple DB’s that have never had their eyes on a ball being thrown to the guy they are covering?
I totally agree with you. Jeanty got 4 yards on that first down, and then we threw it the next couple times resulting in incompletions and then the punt. That was really bad, and pretty much lost the game for us.
The loss of Bo.Nix was huge. He was the offense. It's just not the same without that guy....plain and simple.... The Ducks won't be the same team without him.
they should have let the Ducks score after that last first down and then try to tie the game with a TD. They would of had enough time with their 2 timeouts. Better than letting them run down the clock and kick an easy FG.
Definitely a strategy that could have been considered. I was asking the same thing on Twitter. At the end of the day a FG is not guaranteed and he did miss a PAT 🤷🏻♂️
We played super hard, left it all on the field. Proud of our team, but always tough to see a loss. Also its hard to see how Boise will appear as the top G5 team when NIU just beat Notre Dame in South Bend. Time will tell how good Notre Dame really is, and how good NIU really is. But just based on wins and strength of schedule, it seems like NIU would be ahead of Boise for now.
For anyone who watched the NIU game it was clear that game said a lot more about ND than it did NIU. NIU will need to win every single game in their trash conference to be able to beat us out and I don’t see that happening. They lose one game and their season is over. I’m not concerned. Boise showed they were the equal to an Oregon team firing on all cylinders and that they truly can stand toe to toe with the top teams in the country.
I wouldn’t say we were saved by holding because maybe that player would have tackled the runner behind the line or at the line. Can’t cheat by holding the defender haha. Special Teams needs to regroup and not give up a big return again this year. Yes those guys are insanely fast but still maybe fill those lanes better. Madsen got a little jittery in the 2nd half but that last drive we had, we should have kept running the ball after that 1st down 5 yard run gain.
Should have won this game. We gave it away. Refs were not good. Why wasn’t a tackle in the end zone not a PI? The Ducks dropped the ball before crossing the end zone plane. Special teams stunk it up. Why didn’t we kick into the end zone ALL GAME? Why isn’t Jonah Dalmas taking all kickoffs? Koetters play calls in the last offensive drive were TERRIBLE! WRs weren’t pulling in catchable balls and are supposed to be “elite?” So many questions.. Jeanty rocked again! So happy for him. Just so sad.
Agree with some of this but want to hit some of the main things I disagree with: -ball dropped in end zone was immediately picked up by teammate for a TD and that’s what they ruled -WRs definitely struggled but I pointed out many times on this channel that lack of chemistry in the passing game would be an issue on the front half of the season
I think it’s ridiculous that those who question Madsen’s ability are called, “haters.” Dude, this game definitely put the spotlight on his lack of arm strength. He played like the 1600th ranked player he is. He didn’t lose the game but he definitely was a big contributing factor. You gotta have an above average QB to compete these days and he ain’t it. That’s not hate, that’s just reality. It was pretty easy to see.
Please point out a play where arm strength was the issue… I didn’t see any. Saw a lot of drops where Madsen put the ball in the right position actually including 1 by Prince Stachen on a deep ball that was pretty much a perfect pass
Boston College is an ACC P4 team (I know it’s hard to remember sometimes with how much they suck 😂). NIU did not look the equal of ND, ND just looked like a team playing poorly. The rankings reflect that with NIU only barely sneaking in. They’ll also have to go undefeated with how weak their conference is and that is extremely unlikely
Boise State came out on top in this game. They will get more respect because they hung with a top ten team. Oregon will drop because they barely beat an unranked team when they were favored by 20.😊
How do you feel the Ducks played? I know that it wasn't perfect but every ducks fan I've talked too said they "the Ducks didn't play good". I feel like both teams played pretty good and that a lot of people in the nation underestimate just how good Boise State is like they always kind of have. I remember a lot of people who follow the Ducks who did previews of the game were saying that "they weren't worried about Boise States rushing attack because they held Idaho to 49 yards". I would have liked to see Madsen run with the ball more instead of trying to force balls and getting incompletions. Many opportunities for both teams to pull away from each other in this game. They caught breaks, we caught breaks. I think this is a win for us because we lost by 3 and we hung with the Ducks till the end. The number 7 team shouldn't be beating an unranked team by 3 points.
Ducks played incredible. Clearly showed they are a Top 10 team but Boise showed they also deserve to be right up in that conversation as well. Duck fans are elitist and being seen as on the same level as Boise for them doesn’t mean Boise played well, it just means they suck. Always an excused and never credit to their opponent. Of course there are exceptions but alot of their fans are this way.
Who kicked the ball short on the kickoffs? Dalmas or the other guy, who the announcers didn’t even notice wasn’t Dalmas? Drastically wrong is correct! We need a Jerron Johnson on special teams that will destroy the kick returner!
OUR loss is all YOIR Fault! Seriously, tho; we punched it out with Oregon; had ups and downs; and could NOT cover kick returns. No shame, buy Stacy Colling .ay be seeing a new job..?
Yeah my bad, I’ll take the L on this one 😂😂🙋♂️ I don’t think Stacy Collins has anything to worry about job wise nor should he but he but he definitely needs to fix this fast. Maybe seeing the issues so glaring will inspire him to make the right changes like Boise’s defense did after GS last week.
I think our main competitors for the g5 bid are Memphis, Tulane and Liberty, obviously if Liberty goes 13-0 their is a chance the committee just blindly gives it to them and obviously Boise and the other competitors can lose games that would give it to Liberty. 13-0 Memphis vs 12-1 Boise would be really hard for the committee I think it would depend on if Oregon is a top 5 by the end of the year or just top 20. Tulane would just lost a big test in a close game to K State (they led for most of the game I think). But they also have #15 Oklahoma next week (shoutout Tulane for making a really hard schedule) I think Tulane needs to 2 losses to be below a 1 loss Boise State.
Liberty is out of it. They have nearly lost their first 2 games and they don’t look like the same team from last season. Plus they play in the worst conference in the country. 0 chance they are a threat to BSU.
I am surprised that you predicted a blowout loss in light of your analytics approach. I definitely did not see Oregon covering the 21-point spread, given their performance against University of Idaho and given our 56 points of offense last week against Georgia Southern. Obviously, special teams had a poor performance as did our defense overall. We all remember the days when we could count on our defense keeping us in the game even when our offense wasn't firing 100%. Madsen isn't the answer. He's an average QB at best. Too short to compete. He had the ball batted down from two perspectives. Size and poor decisions. Put Nelson in next week to see what he's got. Keep Jeanty's role as primary. Special teams and defense need some serious work. IMHO of course. One last thing. If you watched Oregon's defense closely, they were holding on every play! Refs ignored it...
I explained it in depth in the game preview but to summarize the close game to Idaho was just because Oregon wasn’t ready and overlooked them so I expected a much different performance vs Boise and we saw it. However I also expected Boise’s secondary to have the same struggles we saw vs GS which did not happen and that was the key difference maker in this game
Madsen looked like the best player on the field at times in the first half. Oregon dialed up the defensive intensity in the second half. You're right, BSU run game consistency was taken away, and Oregon D backs are VERY good in coverage.
Two things stood out negatively for BSU-special teams and Madsen. The special teams sucked, giving up 2 touchdowns! Madsen is Not a big time quarterback. He had way too many passes blocked and he panicked several times. He could possibly lead, say Idaho to a Division II championship but he won't take BSU past the Mtn West title. I hate saying that but it was pretty obvious. Jeanty goes out and BSU has almost no offense. In spite of Mad Dog, BSU should have won if not for the botched plays by the special teams.
Oregon is trash. They should have blown Boise state out of the water. Oregon does not belong in the top 25. All of that hype this year was garbage. Oregon made way too many mistakes and I'm disappointed in this team. Boise state did what they had to do and good on them. Oregon however hasn't done what they've needed to do for 2 games now. Dan Lannings seat should be red hot right now.
Ummm good even play at times but Boise never dominated. 2 fumbles really helped open the door and allowed Boise in. The dumb penalties by Oregon killed and stalled drives. Good game but I disagree with your Analysis Boise dominated 3 quarters. Oregons skill was prevalent and really should have beat Boise by 2 scores. No way Boise should have won, I’m sorry. Good game though and Boise did push Oregon. :)
Those are part of the game and the fumbles weren’t luck, they were Boise State dominating. Boise State in points, yards, sacks, and turnovers dominated this game. It was only on two mental errors on special teams that you won
THe refs didnt screw yall. I think i counted ZERO holding calls on you guys. Either yall got away with holds or thats the best OL in the country blocking future NFLers. So i dont wanna hear about refs lol. YOu guys had what 3 or 4 flags all game!?
We had holding calls and a ton of missed PI calls on your players but it wasn’t the difference in the game and I didn’t feel like there was any intentional bias by the refs. Oh and yes our OL is one of the best in the entire country and that was with 2 backups in the game👀👀
Oregon was/is obviously not in sync and not playing their best football. Broncos should be very careful going forward and thinking they are better than what they actually are because of this game. This game against a poor performing Oregon team does not put them in stratosphere that this guy thinks they are.
Oregon fans be making up excuses again... This bsu team looks great. This is game two of the season.... BSU looked way better than the team thats ranked in top 5 and BSU is not even ranked. Get real dude
🤦🏻♂️ the only thing Oregon looked off on was a few of the deep throws. Otherwise this looked like a Top 10 program that just almost got beat by a Top 25 worthy program
Should have won this game. We gave it away. Refs were not good. Why wasn’t a tackle in the end zone not a PI? The Ducks dropped the ball before crossing the end zone plane. No call on the punch!
That TD return was legit. Yes he "fumbled" it before he crossed the endzone, but a Duck picked it up essentially being recorded as a fumble recovery for a TD. The one that looked like a punch, was a punch but the player punched the ground not the player

💯! Oregon O-line issues was really the only notable issue and it was only really apparent in pass protect. Run blocking was solid
I think the loss of Teubner from the Targeting call had a much bigger impact on this loss than you seem to think. His leadership was missed, particularly in the 2nd half!

Another Duck fan here. Idaho and Boisie State have proven Ducks are not invincible.
Boise was one of the toughest team Oregon will play the rest of the season. Maybe 2 or 3 teams tougher and not necessarily in the same way that Boise was. I expect Oregon to go undefeated

💯 I have no doubts that we will be undefeated!! Incredible game!
@@BroncoBleymaier Thank you man for always being so damn positive and straight forward with the outlook of our program! Love tuning into your videos brotha 👏 the small details mean so much man. Keep it up man! You'll be a household name for damn sure 👌
We had a major injury?! What happened to the player taken off the field in the first half?
I don’t think he was saying we didn’t have any injuries, just that he was wanting there not to be any. 🤷🏻♂️
Thanks man, honestly the videos are like postgame therapy that help me get all my thoughts and emotions from the game in offer 😂
Thanks for shoutout, closest prediction I’ll have all year
It was a good one man. Almost nailed it
Proud of our boys 💙🧡💙
💯
💯
LFG Broncos
WE ARE BACK! Go Broncos!
Tells you both teams are very good this season! Going to be a great year for both teams!
💯
Where's Dubar? He's legit.
That’s what I’m wondering. Gaines is a animal tho but I don’t think playing anyone but jeanty and Gaines was smart vs Oregon bet we see breezy next game
@hunterj6290 Dubar was still hurt for this one
@@BroncoBleymaier oh! I didn’t know he was injured
@hunterj6290 yeah they said at the press conference earlier this week he got knicked in camp. Nothing specific but clearly not ready to play although Gaines made it sound like he was close to recovery in a recent interview
How do we fix the special teams?
The question on of the day for sure. Obviously it starts with eye discipline and positioning on coverage but in the mean time it might just be wise to kick it out of bounds or the back of the end zone
Agreed until they can prove they can stop a return kick it out of the end zone.
Perhaps they will get some good practice in against Portland State.
Special teams needs some special practice!
@ATown875 💯
Y'all played a hard game we made some bad plays but in the end we had home feld and the penalty good fight good game to watch GO DUCKS
💯
@@BroncoBleymaier I agree completely. GO BIG BLUE! Hope you didn't wake up your kids LMAO...
@hunterwalp3944 somehow they slept through that and all of my screaming and jumping around the house during the game 😂😂 Guess we tired them out good before we put them to bed 😁👍🏻
Ashton Jeanty’s odds to win Heisman more than doubled after that game (by FanDuel) he is now 13th in odds and is the top Non-QB and by far the top G5
💯
I think I over-posted to this excellent video, but I have one final thought. Jeanty says his goal is to break 2,000 yds rushing this year; right now he's averaging 230 yds per game...so he's actually on pace to break 3,000!!!
💯 going to be a historic performance!! And there’s never any such thing as over engaging 😁👍🏻
Couldn't help but notice in the first few minutes that you said, our defense and offense could keep up with Oregon. Strategically leaving out special teams.
Foreshadowing 😉😁
Good game! Good luck the rest of the way
Same to you! Hopefully talk Tuesday 😁👍🏻
💯
O Line...WOW. Two starters out, but only gave up one sack, and BSU ran for well over 200 yards.
🦾🦾🦾🦾💯
Even with the loss, I feel good about Boise States performance. For a road game as a 21 point dog, they stepped up. Yes, special teams and the secondary were poor. BS pass rush was the reason Oregon didn't exploit the secondary more. On offense, our receivers simply could not get open. Madsen was constantly forced to try to thread a needle. The passing became a high-risk, low probability play. This team can't be all Ashton Jeanty. Need to see more offensive contributors.
💯 agree with all of this
Spot on, I just wish on that last BSU drive after they got 4-5 yds on 1st, they should have put the ball in the best players hands (AJ), he was their bast chance to do a final clock draining drive while scoring last instead of giving it right back to O for them to do it, when its close put the ball in his hands, he has more determination than anyone else in the stadium.
I was 1 boise state touchdown away from being dead on my score prediction, so close lol. I actually kinda disagree a little that we outplayed them, to me they were the better team but not by alot but i dont feel bad about losing at all because Oregon straight controlled that second half.
Jeanty is the best offensive player in Boise state history imo, pure talent wise ive never seen a player like him
Stats and points wise we outplayed them except for in the special teams 🤷🏻♂️
I almost feel like if we would have won this, then somewhere in the middle of the season we would lose a game we are not suppose to, so this will for sure keep them humble and hungry, and hopefully lessen the chances of a more costly loss later.
Fair, if we win out from here it will make the loss worth it 💯
Catching Duck when they are struggling to gel as a offensive unit is great timing for the Broncos. Ducks will clean it up and gel making this a phenomenal loss for BSU come end of the season. Bronco fan should be rooting for Ducks to run the table
😂😂😂😂 Always an excuse for Oregon fans 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
@BroncoBleymaier no excuses, just what it is. Ducks got the W, Bronco took an L. I was actually being complimentary and stating that if things start to gel for Oregon, Bronco L will ultimately turn into a W in the eyes of most. Don't get so sucked up.
@@BroncoBleymaier like I said... "gel"!
Great game!
Yes but this isn’t a one off issue and giving up an 80+ yard PR TD and a 100+ yard KR is unacceptable especially for a team of Boise’s caliber.
Great game, we are back!!!
we need coach Pete back...
💯
His size and lack of talent will continue to hurt us
I feel like Madsen should have ran with the ball more instead of trying to force completions.
@kid-vo1cf not the place to swap QBs
I wish Malachi Nelson can get his chance. He adds more dimension to his game than Madsen does. No disrespect towards Madsen but Nelson should at least have an opportunity at some point.
But yeah, they need to do something about special teams smh. It's been a problem for several seasons.
agree
SPECIAL TEAMS.
He also adds a higher possibility of turnover which Boise didn’t have any of in this game. He may have a role later on in the year but this was not the place to play him and it wouldn’t have impacted the results
Malachi Nelson has zero college ints. While madsen has 4. @BroncoBleymaier
@jamessmith-ht5ce 😂
I was surprised we didn't run a little more being tied, getting the ball with 4 minutes left, got 4.5yds on 1st down, I thought we would pound them because their D was tired, we could have done the slow physical drive to the final winning field goal.
💯 massive error by DK there
I was hoping for some more runs to the outside
I think everyone was thinking they would do this. 100%. Colossal mistake.
@wapiti128 yeah that would have been better especially when overall the runs inside did not work although we did break that 70 yard TD run inside so 🤷🏻♂️
GO DUCKS💪💚💛 WASHINGTON barely escaped ALL of there games last year and still made it to the national championship game. Oregon has a path still... 2-0
If Oregon can beat this Boise team they can beat pretty much anyone on their schedule. Expecting 12-0!
O@@BroncoBleymaier
💯 also because of how LU has played so far this season. They don’t look very good this year and may not go undefeated
“Gifted the close game” 😂😂😂 Actually Boise gifted you the win but whatever. I’m sure I could never convince you of that 😂
Tough pill to swallow to lose like that I’d rather us blown out but I was 20 points off my prediction😩😭 but we’re back
I would love it if the Broncos were the clear front runner in the G5 but Northern Illinois did beat Notre Dame yesterday…
NIU has to go undefeated and the odds of that are very low. Boise in a better position
How much better is Madsen? I think this is the best he will be. The Broncos really need to get Malachi Nelson in some next game. With a play or two.
I think he will see some action vs Portland State
Broncos look great overall!
Very disappointing as that game was in our hands. Special teams giving up 14 points lost that game.
Broncos are going to roll through the Mountain West!
💯
Aside from the final score, and Madsen having a weak day, it's nothing but positives to me.
Great team effort overall, and I expect us to only get better as the defense gels.
Special Teams needs work.
We were supposed to get a beatdown but instead lost on a last second field goal, against a top -10 team.
Need to find ways to get Dubar involved, if for no other reason than to rest Jeanty some. Dubar and Gaines resting Jeanty may wind up being a crucial element this season.
I think Dubar is still recovering from his Fall Camp injury
I’m not a former college/pro offensive coordinator but not eating up the clock running the ball that last possession was not a great decision. They could not stop #2 and he could have pounded it to deep in UO territory for the game winning FG. We have one of the best FG kicker in college.
The defense looked pretty good for the most part but how is it that there are a couple DB’s that have never had their eyes on a ball being thrown to the guy they are covering?
I agree on your offensive take but I don’t understand your question about the defense
Kellen Moore was 50-3 we miss him too.
They looked pretty good without him on Saturday…
they should have let the Ducks score after that last first down and then try to tie the game with a TD.
Should have had that game but whatever played there hearts out which more than i can ask for well see them again at some point go broncos baby
Go Broncos! 🦾
💯
Yep, 4 min. tied, you have the ball, you put it in your best players hand, Ashton would have given the best chance to win, his will is insane.
Agree with some of this but want to hit some of the main things I disagree with:
-ball dropped in end zone was immediately picked up by teammate for a TD and that’s what they ruled
-WRs definitely struggled but I pointed out many times on this channel that lack of chemistry in the passing game would be an issue on the front half of the season
Saw a lot of drops where Madsen put the ball in the right position actually including 1 by Prince Stachen on a deep ball that was pretty much a perfect pass
haters gonna hate
3:48 do you think NIU and Boston College are the front runners? They are actually ranked
Oregon will drop because they barely beat an unranked team when they were favored by 20.😊
Yeah but Boise proved they should have been ranked. Oregon only dropped 2 places which I think shows the respect for Boise by the voters
Great critical thinking analysis.
Appreciate it! Thank you!
But we have the best special teams coordinator in the country!
Yeah, it’s so confusing as to what is going on…😬
Who kicked the ball short on the kickoffs? Dalmas or the other guy, who the announcers didn’t even notice wasn’t Dalmas? Drastically wrong is correct! We need a Jerron Johnson on special teams that will destroy the kick returner!
It was the other guy but those looked like they were designed that way, he definitely has the leg to kick it out the back if called to
That announcer was really messing up names. I think he called #34 Alex Spenser, talking about how Alex finished of coaching last year.
@brucemurphy6354 also called JFR the Oregon Punter’s name 🤦🏻♂️😂
@@BroncoBleymaier That's right, I heard that too.
I'm glad Oregon fell in the rankings
….?
Don’t fool yourselves. Oregon is not playing like the #7 team in the country.
Not last week but definitely this week. They play like that vs the Big 10 slate and they’ll be undefeated
OUR loss is all YOIR Fault!
Seriously, tho; we punched it out with Oregon; had ups and downs; and could NOT cover kick returns.
No shame, buy Stacy Colling .ay be seeing a new job..?
Yeah my bad, I’ll take the L on this one 😂😂🙋♂️
I don’t think Stacy Collins has anything to worry about job wise nor should he but he but he definitely needs to fix this fast.
Remember how bad you said BSU Would get beat by the Ducks!!LOL
Yup, glad I was wrong! I was right on the offense but Boise State’s defense shocked me and the rest of the country. Night and day performance
Sucks NIU is ranked and not us. With that win they may jump us for the playoffs
I doubt they will go undefeated and that is what it would take for them to beat us to it
Madsen looked like the best player on the field at times in the first half. Oregon dialed up the defensive intensity in the second half. You're right, BSU run game consistency was taken away, and Oregon D backs are VERY good in coverage.
💯
You guys have to worry about unlv 👀
That will be another blowout like last year
They are better than anticipated but nothing close to this Boise team
Two things stood out negatively for BSU-special teams and Madsen.
The special teams sucked, giving up 2 touchdowns!
Madsen is Not a big time quarterback. He had way too many passes blocked and he panicked several times.
He could possibly lead, say Idaho to a Division II championship but he won't take BSU past the Mtn West title.
I hate saying that but it was pretty obvious. Jeanty goes out and BSU has almost no offense.
In spite of Mad Dog, BSU should have won if not for the botched plays by the special teams.
What about all the drops and poor play calls? Madsen only had a few plays deflected and he didn’t really panic other than 2 or 3 forced balls
Not sure if yall are really good or we really suck.
We’re really good. Ducks will go undefeated here in out
Oregon is trash.
😂😂
This guy talks/thinks like he won 😂😂😂 hold that L with pride SuKa!!!!!!!!
Go Ducks!!!! )))[](((
Losing by 3 points when you should have lost by 19+ and showed you are the peer of a Top 10 program is definitely a win
@@BroncoBleymaierdon’t believe the spread you should know that. A win is a win! And a loss is a loss. Hold this L 😂😂😂
Huge amounts of cope here.
😂😂😂
Madsen’s not very good.
Hard fought game, wish we would have won! Listening to Ben Rector when a heart breaks to get over this loss🥹
😢💙
Sucked!!!
That’s not a sentence 😂
Coach Lanning has no class.. didn't give Boise any credit at all
Dishonorable in my opinion
I didn’t watch the post game press conference, what did he say?
Oregon was/is obviously not in sync and not playing their best football. Broncos should be very careful going forward and thinking they are better than what they actually are because of this game. This game against a poor performing Oregon team does not put them in stratosphere that this guy thinks they are.
Yea we have our problems especially with special teams and QB
Oregon fans be making up excuses again... This bsu team looks great. This is game two of the season.... BSU looked way better than the team thats ranked in top 5 and BSU is not even ranked. Get real dude
🤦🏻♂️ the only thing Oregon looked off on was a few of the deep throws. Otherwise this looked like a Top 10 program that just almost got beat by a Top 25 worthy program
Oregons problem is Dan Lanning. He will cause O to fall out of playoff contention due to poor play calling and mismanagement of talented players.
Cry Harder
Are you talking about Oregon fans? They seem to be the ones most upset about this game 😂😂
Nobody should cry about this game. Ducks played like crap and still won. Broncos played even with the #7 team and could have won.
3-1. Nothing to cry about.
Seems I struck a nerve lol
@@JayLay85 lol, isn't that what trolls live for?
So no one wants to acknowledge I was right about Madsen?
I am glad Madox performed well.
You were not.
You’re not back you guys don’t have a good defense!! 🦆offense is not good!! Beating up on 🧁 for the rest of the year does not count as being good
😂😂😂
@@BroncoBleymaier laugh, cry, deny or hate. The Truth of those facts must Hurts🦆🫡🤷🏻👏🦆
@nobodyknows9083 😂😂😂😂
Should have won this game. We gave it away. Refs were not good. Why wasn’t a tackle in the end zone not a PI? The Ducks dropped the ball before crossing the end zone plane. No call on the punch!
That TD return was legit. Yes he "fumbled" it before he crossed the endzone, but a Duck picked it up essentially being recorded as a fumble recovery for a TD. The one that looked like a punch, was a punch but the player punched the ground not the player
