I ran across a video of Taj a few years ago and have been following him since. He also writes his own songs and sings as well. He has had 2 of his songs, Crossroads and Cruz hit #1 on the iTunes blues charts, Prince's musical director even came to see one of his shows. Taj is doing a Stevie Ray Vaughn tribute show on the 29th in Austin Texas. I believe it's sold out and they're doing a livestream too. It's hard to choose any one song that I like that he plays but I really enjoy Parisienne Walkways, Red House and Little Wing too start. His mom and dad both also have dreads and the hat is part of his signature style. His parents are with him all the time and haven’t signed him to a label so he doesn't have all the pressures. They moved the family from Australia to live in the US to help him achieve his dreams. The blues are his sweet spot. His sister plays drums and she opens the shows for him.
Taj appeared on Australia's got talent when he was quite young (he is still quite) and blew everyone away with his skill. His career took off from there.
Taj is a gifted young man from australia. He started playing after his father took him to his first ac/dc concert at i believe age 5. God definitely blessed this kid. He can basicslly play anything after hearing it. 😎👍🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 Glad you enjoyed his performance. Everythimg he plays is absolute fire.
Glad that you were introduced to the virtuoso Master Farrant. All his content is mind blowing. Proficient in several genres. He's always on facebook live too shredding and just shooting out one amazing song after another right before your eyes. On tour he's unreal. Taj will sometimes break up the set and go solo with a 12 string acoustic. He's multi-instrumental and plays all the instruments on his blues single "Crossroads"
His favourite musician is the late Gary Moore. One of my favourite songs from Taj is Soulful Jam which you can see on his TH-cam page. Met him when he was 10 and he is so down to earth. He even cried when he visited SRV’s grave site. His mum & dad are the nicest people you could ever meet. Another video to check out is when he plays with Santana
Glad you found Taj. He may well be the best young guitarist on the planet. Some of his favorites are Stevie Ray Vaughn and Gary Moore. He plays with such emotion because the music take over him. He's been that way ever since he was much younger. You mentioned his dreads. One lady wrote in that he needed to change his hair. My comment was "Lady, if you can play a guitar like that child you can wear your hair any way you please."
Taj is a VIRTUOSO! 😎❤️🎸👌🏴🇬🇧 Ps. Review for fun his live performance with Carlos Santana when he was 10! Phenomenal! Also when he joined Orianthi (Michael Jackson's last guitarist) she Phenomenal also and also Santana said she was the next Guitar Great a few years ago, they BOTH since then supported Taj by playing with him LIVE and at only 10 year old!!! Now 4 years later he's AT LEAST as good as the greats! 🎸
Tal has had dreads since a little boy, like his daddy & mummy. Originally from Australia, they have been touring across USA, selling our venues and have 4 songs hit no.1 in Australia, USA, Canada, iTunes etc. One might say he was born to do this… it’s his calling I think. I have followed him since he only 9 yrs old. He is an old soul for sure and extremely humble.
Taj isn't just beyond description on the guitar, he comes across as a genuinely nice person. I agree with you Roskoe, please mom and dad, keep that kid away from anyone who would introduce him to drugs. Even pot.
I hope you get to see one of his very first video's when he was only 9 years old....it went viral here in Aus.....Even then he pulled some ugly faces lol.
"SRV reincarnated" - Taj recorded a version of Voodoo Child when he was 9 yrs old; an incredible player.

I'll definitely be checking out some of those suggestions because this kid is RIDICULOUS! Thank you, Val!

This legend pronounces his last name FAREent.
I'll try to remember that, Dawn
How many individual notes do you think Taj played during the course of this song?
