I enjoy watching your videos. I just wanted to mention when blowing on the resin it is very important that the mica powder doesn’t get in your lungs. Once mica powder gets in the lungs it stays in your lungs. I use a mask when working with mica powder. Just a little fyi💜
Hi, just curious do you have to seal the finished piece? so that the powder stays vibrant or reducing the chance of it scraped away? What can you seal it with if you do so? thanks!
Hi thank you for watching! The finished mermaid tail is in the final video of the series - you can see it here th-cam.com/video/xizCAg5gCb8/w-d-xo.html
I love your video, but I have a question, and maybe I'm not the only one. When I have a mica powder on my brush and I'm about to brush the mold, the powder seems to be like a magnet and goes in places where I don't want it. How do I stop this from happening?
You know what would be a Halloween themed idea ? Getting transparent sticker of what the insides of the mermaid and sticking it at the part where the mermaid continues and placing a little transparent resin, before filling in the rest. When you view if from the side, its like a cut up mermaid haha
Absolutely! It gives a really pretty shimmery, metallic kind of look. You can gauge how much you add for a more translucent color or add more for opaque color.
I was quite dissapointed you didn't show it demolded! I watched a few times, but after you tap it on table, the video is over .. Why not show the finished results?!

What kind of mica powder did you use? I tried to paint Mica powder onto a pink silicone mold and it didn't adhere as well as yours does. So I wasn't sure if it was the mold or the mica powder.

The mermaid tail turned out to be so pretty... can you make a video on how to use the gold foil please!!
Definitely! Here's one way to use it: th-cam.com/video/mMY0tHi6uqQ/w-d-xo.html
Question. If we don't have a heat gun, can we use a hair dryer? If not, what would be the best way to deal with the bubbles?
Thank you for the tips on using the micas. This help so much for me. Where did you get the plastic box for the micas? Pls tell ❤❤😊. Beautiful

can you mix the mica powder into the resin? .. also, by mixing the mica powder into the resin will it cure properly? .. great video btw ❤
Hello this keychain turned out beautiful. ( I watched your other video attaching the key chain💪🏾) Can mica powder be used with UV RESIN as well ?
Yes, definitely!
@@CleverGirlsCraft Great, thank you soo much 🙏🏾
Do you need gloves when using the powder too? Or just for the resin?
if I wanted can I mix the mica powder in the resin ?
Absolutely! It gives a really pretty shimmery, metallic kind of look. You can gauge how much you add for a more translucent color or add more for opaque color.

You didn't show the final product after it was finished... ???
What kind of mica powder did you use? I tried to paint Mica powder onto a pink silicone mold and it didn't adhere as well as yours does. So I wasn't sure if it was the mold or the mica powder.
I use a few different types. I find mine on Amazon.
Would be helpful to see the actual result.
I really like your pigment container. Is it from Amazon?
