In Patrice’s book, he says that he was thinking about leaving Man United because of the weather and was looking at moves to another clubs. My brother and his friend were regulars outside Carrington to see the players and get their autograph etc. In the book patrice says it was a rainy day and 2 boys (my brother and his mate) were outside carrington waiting for the players. After training had finished, when Patrice was leaving in his car the 2 boys were still there waiting for the players. And Patrice thought to himself that if these 2 boys can wait outside in the pouring rain for so long, he can play football in similar weather.
Best left back ever. I rate Marcelo highly but evra's game of when to attack and when to defend was amazing and did both gracefully. I reckon if United get someone half as good as Evra then we will be back on winning ways again considering the last back issues lately.
I've had the pleasure to witness both Dennis Irwin and Patrice Evra in my lifetime. Both world class left backs. Now the dreaded question. Who's better?
