Trebuchets use a small to long arm ratio of 3:1, this or more will let it hit further and stay out of reach of those pesky archers, wheels reduce effectiveness
A sling can be made with a spiderweb pouch, with two strings both same length as throwing arm
One firmly connected to end, another with a loop going over a 30 degree prong
Space under it for weight to swing can increase efficiency
