The Exceed Designs TIRANT RAZOR V3 is every bit as good, and for less than half the price of this. Of course, if you don't mind spending big for a utility knife, get the Hawk Knives Shortcut for $475.

Waiting for mine to arrive. Can't wait to compare it to my Exceed Designs Tirant. It has been my all-time favourite for a while now.

What do you like better? Nvm just saw it’s double the price, even if it is better definitely not worth double

I like these a lot but can’t fork up $80 for a utility knife wish they sold a steel or aluminum version for cheaper.

I love it! It’s been a conversation starter, satisfying to use, and I’ve used the bottle opener feature multiple times. Replacing the blade is quick, and haven’t had any issues with blade wiggle or lockup.

How secure is the blade when it's closed? I have a Gerber utility flip that I feel is easy to "flop" open, which is why I got one of these -- still waiting on mine to arrive!

It’s very secure. There is an audible click when you close the blade. No chance of it accidentally opening 👍

I agree with the other comment. The detent is very secure. I'm not saying it will never pop open if you drop it, but there's no way it's going to open accidentally in a pocket.👍

I got the updated gerber EAB it has never flopped open on me before, the older solids version the one without milling on the scales has. The detent doesn’t line up. I like the way this tool looks before I didn’t like the flipper on it for the accidental open. But this one looks more safe

The problem I'm having with my TiRant is that the blade won't Lock into it! I didn't have that problem when I first got it. I don't know why it quit locking in.🤷

@@LarryEMorse try a different style or brand blade in it
