What a great puppy. Awesome Demeanor. Most puppies usually can't tolerate not being babied or need to hear a consistent soothing voice the entire time to wipe away fear but she did incredible. I can't believe she never did this before. Wow!!

I have a Morkie and she's adorable. She's a diva though! If you want to get a dog like this definitely going to have a good groomer. Mine needs groomed about every 6-8 weeks. Her hair grows really fast. They also (I know mine does) gets those eye booger that stick and can cause matting in the inside eye corners. And always keep their butts shaved, it doesn't take much hair back there to cause poop to stick.
They are 100% lap dogs that require you to pay attention to them all the time. Mine literally paws my hand until I touch her. So if you're not into all that, then this isn't the dog for you! They require a lot of maintenance that short hair sog don't. I pay $60 every 6 weeks to have her groomed. So if you're broke, wait till your more financially stable to get a dog like this. Or master your grooming skills...which is way harder than you think! My poor molly looked like a rat with mange the one time I decided I could cut her hair on my own 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️ luckily she didnt know I made her ugly 😂

I never realized there was so much work involved with a tiny dog like this. They literally grow hair in all the wrong places! Good thing there are people like you who totally know how to make them feel better without making them look weird ;-)
Thank you for this video! I have a four month old male morkie. Getting ready to attempt his first groom at home! Your video was so helpful. I couldn’t figure out why his fur looked unkept even though I’m brushing a few times a week. I was doing it all wrong by brushing over the top layer. Thank you again!!! ❤️

omg that dog is an angel. shes adorable. when u have a yorkie or a maltese or a maltpoo or any of these small human like hair dogs, when should they have their first grooming? is there a certain age u want to start at or not start at?
Find a groomer that will do a one on one groom for a puppy as early as 8 weeks old. One on one so it doesn't catch any disease or gets sick from other dogs. If you can't find a groomer that can do this. Start the brushing and feet massages at home asap. As a groomer may only be able to do a groom after the rabies shot at 12 weeks old. Be firm when doing the brushing at home. And take time to make it a working environment, not a fun playing around environment. Use leash and or collar too. Leash training should start asap. OMG that is a cute puppy!! and sooo good too. My dog is great now, but her first grooming she was really scared. She's 10 now and groomer loves her. She's had the same groomer the whole time which is great!!
I never knew puppies grew tufts of hair inside the ear canal! What a terrible thing! Could you imagine? She must be so grateful you got that out of there!!

I breed Morkies ...They are Parti Color but YES! The hair is so so so soft that it matts pretty easily so brushing (down to the skin!) is a must! THANK YOU for being so complete in your presentations!!!

My man had a Yorkie when he was a kid. Name was Biscuit. He LOVED that dog. Last night we decided to get Yorkie puppies, but it'll be some months before we can buy them. In the meantime, I'm going to research care and training, to help us prepare. I've never had dogs before, but I've liked the idea of having them for a long time. Even watched training and grooming videos before now, and studied the characteristics of different breeds.
LOL, when she pulled up her tail to shave. Little Ms. looked back into the camera so innocent...like OMG is this guy still filming this part too?
that puppy is soo good. I groomed a puppy the other day who screamed everytime I touched his face but I moved him to a table in a quiet area with no people he could see and after a couple minutes of not seeing any people he did better. also I love using CHI shampoo and conditioner but my salon charges 21$ for it so not many people want it. I use it on my grandma's sheltie and she looks so bright after and she's so soft after.

I had a morkie and i didn't realize what it took to keep his hair from matting when I bought him. I took him to a groomer not knowing he was matted. When I picked him up, he was shaved to the skin everywhere and the groomer was mad at me and made me feel really terrible. I sure as hell didn't know and didn't appreciate how rudely I was treated. I unknowingly wasn't brushing completely to the skin just like this morkie. I was worried about hurting his skin as those wire brushes seem so harsh. Also, a phone call before I showed up would have been appreciated because I felt blindsided when I went to pick up my pet. I'm glad to see this video and really appreciate how you're trying to educate dog owners. Thank you.

Unfortunately, we're not all Dog Whisperers who can hypnotize our dogs to make them cooperate like most videos I've seen. I don't feel so bad that they control me instead. hahaha. I have 2 mini schnauzers and a scottie that my life revolves on and means the world to me more than anything. Its hard to find a good groomer in North Carolina. The good ones are so hard to get an appointment, and takes several weeks. I feel bad I cant get them groomed often, so through your videos, I can do a few to get by until they can be groomed professionally. Awesome channel. Keep it up !!!

If it's hard to get in, book in advanced and don't miss the appointment. My regular clients I push to book for the whole year! I am literal! Call and book the next available and at the same time book three months and three months after that. Book for the whole year is my point. Find out their cancellation notice too.
