I wanna see how Sterling's factory in Indonesia is. Even though Ernie Ball claimed that all Indonesian-made instruments will be shipped to Orange team in CA for inspection before shipping them to distributors/retailers, I still wanna see how good is the quality of the factory based in Indonesia for crafting Sterling products. Will you make an Indonesian Factory Tour? That will really help anyone who aim for a more affordable line like Sterling by Music Man to feel a bit more relief with more confident in the instrument's work.
Odds are there’s a factory in Indonesia that’s contracted by ebmm to make their instruments. I doubt they would spend the money to build a factory half way across the world when they can just contract. Also wouldn’t be surprised if the Indonesian factory is the same factory who produces the more affordable models for other brands
These fine men and women are why my money just went to Ernie Ball for my New Cutlass RS HSS in Vintage Turquoise. Thank you EBMM friends, for your relentless commitment to this craft we call guitar!
The factory is not fully automated though. Judging by the video, there are only two robots: the Big bird for CNCing, and drilling and the Ursula for buffing, which makes productions costs lower. This may actually allow for the factory to employ the other people you can see in this video. The cost of living in America is simply too high to still have people do everything manually...
These guys do the job right. No one can have a word.

Yes! I'm not sure if any of this video was of Indonesia actually

Great video! Love Leo's masterpieces.

I love this video. Good job!
Looks GREAT! ... but after all this - someone left the tremolobar in the instrument and closes the case.... :-) 3:19
It fits!! The case is designed that way
Simplesmente Fantástico!
High gloss poly! Fancy!
Meu sonho é ir trabalhar nesta empresa.

Already sold out. lol
It's too bad, I'm down on Robotics. There are Too Many people in America that NEED Jobs. HOMELESS, persons, yet TALENTED, Like ME. Put PEOPLE 'FIRST'.

Can't beat the precision and consistency of those machines for those tasks. There won't be "happy little mistakes" but 100% quality.
what kind of material is used on the frets? Stainless steel or nickel?
Michael Coccia stainless steel
Stainless steel. A lot of EBMM guitars have SS frets standard - Sabre, Majesty, Valentine, Cutlass, Stingray, etc
