Tbf Mace (in legends) was a Jedi who could use dark side powers. His form 8 was made from making form 7 more aggressive, and of course blue + red = purple. So though he isn't really considered a grey Jedi - he's still bad ass.
@@TheDragonaf1 not even in Legends, it is canon that mace uses his aggression to his advantage, but has such a grasp of the light that he doesn't get lost in his anger, and knows when to stop. Hence the purple saber. I also thought it was strange that he was dealing in absolutes, but I think that's in the sense of making a mistake, and how he was talking about in war, a good guy cannot afford to make mistakes.
I was on the fence about buying one of these holocrons, but after watching your review, I am most definitely buying one. The voices lines are dope and it’s cool that they can be activated with each kyber crystal.

I think I recall they have different voices for the same colors, even. So one green crystal is Qui'Gon, like in this video, another is Yoda, another is Obi-Wan....
I had wondered if they had a bunch of random audio from various historical Jedi and the main characters are more rare but it looks like they're all named characters.

For anyone wanting to know since it’s barely out there. There is a rare red kyber crystal that is actually black instead of the see through red. It’s one of the 3 special ones and they only put a few of these black ones out a day. I won’t spoil how to know which one you are getting but write a comment if you want to know!!!
Okay, this is kind of neat. Although I was kind of hoping that the holocrons would sound a bit more... relaxing, I guess. Just have it left on for some nice ambient noise in the background or something.
If it's using a color sensor it'd be fun dropping random objects into the tray to see what it does. If the "crystals" have something like an RFID chip to trigger different built in sounds, then not so fun. Someone needs to take one of these apart to see what's inside. Have you tried plugging it into a computer to see if anything happens other than charging?
I think $50 is a gpod price. It looks cheaply built but you have to remember that it reads the certain crystals and knows what to say. Its pretty cool of u think about it.
These are awesome. If you are a true StarWars Fan you should buy them. Every crystal even the same color has a different Character with different quotes. I have the Sith one. I plan-on getting the Jedi one next time I go to Studios. which is in a couple weeks Granted i live in Florida.

Petman1325 they already said that they will be limiting the number of people who enter galaxy’s edge and putting people into a virtual queue to get in. That virtual queue might be long, but that will at least keep the crowds at a decent level inside of galaxy’s edge
Red blade which is surprising. The crystal is very dark looking. I dont know for sure if its a darker red. I only bought 2. The other is yellow. I havent put it in a holocron yet. I ment to go back and buy one but ran out of time.
I bought my jedi holocron online, and decided to start with a green crystal, love these, I now have a red and purple coming within the next few days Was hoping my crystal would be Qui Gon since he's one of my favorite jedi, but im not at all sad about getting Yoda, can't wait for the other crystals to come in! And can't wait to get my sith holocron soon as well!

From what I seen in other review videos and I think he says something about it on this video the yellow and white crystals are bought in another store and you get the “basic “ ones at Saavi’s.
Kinda lame that the dialog is just ripped from the movies/show, not new original dialog. It's like those old communicator toys back when TPM came out. Not much more than that. So $50 for a toy that amounts to a $12 toy made in the early 2000's. Yikes.

Looking at how wiggly and lose the movable parts are, for $50 I'd expect it to be pretty solid. I'm not saying it's not a cool collectable but this is something I'd expect from a cheap Walmart toy.
MercenaryJames it’s obvious that anything you buy in GE is going to be expensive. Regardless that no item has the Disney and the Star Wars logos on them, you’re still buying both brands and the actual cost of the item in the price tag of what you buy. It’s going to take me years to actually save the amount of money needed to buy the Holocron, 2 R2 units of different color, the 4 lightsabers and all the Kalibur crystals colors plus the park ticket and all travel expenses. I think for the reviews that I have seen it’s worth the effort.
Looking at it I can tell it’s cheaply built, the way the corners have so much play in them and the clearly flimsy plastic tray for the crystal. If only they had made an effort to make it higher quality, like how the light sabers are made of metal.
I can confirm from another video review that the blade color is completely dependent on the color crystal in the Lightsaber. So, if you build your saber with a blue crystal, and later buy a green crystal, you can swap the crystals out, and your saber will light up green.
It’s kind of cool but it unfortunately has the Disney price tag. It always feels like that anything you buy from Disney you could get the same product for half the price if it was made by another brand. $25-30 seems like it would be a fair price for something like this but $50 is way too much. Same thing for the kyber crystals; $13 for a colored piece of plastic (the majority of them made from the same mould) with an rfid chip is way too much, but $6-7 would be fine. Then again I’m the same person who will buy a $6 churro when I’m in Disneyland.
It'd be fun if you could switch off the sound and use it as a light ornament, especially if you could make it cycle through colours. But as it is, it seems something you'd get bored with in a couple of minutes.. and yes, rather pricey too!

They should make a Kotor 1 and 2 holocron and put darth traya voice, Visas Marrs voice, the disciples voice Darth Nihilus, and Darth Sion and others from Kotor 2 and for Kotor 1 they should do Darth Revan, Bastilla Shan, the Jedi masters from dantatioone ,and others. and I think that would be very cool to have.
That's pretty lame. Seems like something you play with for 5 minutes then never think about again. I guess if you're a MASSIVE fan of the Star Wars cartoons then it's neat to have but other than that I can't really see the appeal.
For the price they're asking for, it should have had a built in recorder and bluetooth support. It's just seems like a cheap toy you'd find in an old K-mart store.

Now I'm wondering, if you build your own saber at the workshop, will the blade color change with the crystal or is the color in the blade itself?

Same thing for the kyber crystals; $13 for a colored piece of plastic (the majority of them made from the same mould) with an rfid chip is way too much, but $6-7 would be fine. Then again I’m the same person who will buy a $6 churro when I’m in Disneyland.

Is there a way to reset this. I just purchased one at Galaxy’s Edge and it does not speak. Even with crystals in it.
It'd be fun if you could switch off the sound and use it as a light ornament, especially if you could make it cycle through colours. But as it is, it seems something you'd get bored with in a couple of minutes.. and yes, rather pricey too!

They should make a Kotor 1 and 2 holocron and put darth traya voice, Visas Marrs voice, the disciples voice Darth Nihilus, and Darth Sion and others from Kotor 2 and for Kotor 1 they should do Darth Revan, Bastilla Shan, the Jedi masters from dantatioone ,and others. and I think that would be very cool to have.
