This gives me hope that there might be a way to change the blade color in the Legacy sabers they got at Galaxy's Edge. Surely they did something similar and just programmed them to go "Use Color X and not Y" or something to that effect.
You can if they all have kyber crystals in them, you can quite easily reprogram the crystals to be different colours if you have the right hardware. there are videos on youtube about it.
Actually you can use a device to change the color the crystals emit. The battery or the blade can also glitch out, showing a different color than what the kyber crystal is supposed to show. This happened to someone turning on a green lightsaber with a low battery, and the blade was yellow

The slot on the bottom of the holocron that you need to stick a sliver of plastic or business card into in order to turn it sith-like? Stick something in there for a few seconds while the holocron is NOT being charged. This disconnects the battery and causes it to reset back to its original programming.
BEFORE DOING THIS TRICK READ THIS! I did this trick with my Jedi Holocron and then it stopped working! Some minutes later, it turned green, then red and then white (without a Kyber crystal). It started working well after a while. This comment is just a warning! May the Force be with u!

You may have found this out by now, but it takes two holocrons (one Jedi, one Sith) to unlock the Bendu. I don't know if this will work with a normal Jedi one and a Jedi-set-to-Sith. I know you can't do it with a normal Sith holocron and a Jedi-set-to-Sith holocron.
It doesn't appear to, so far. All I have is a green kyber crystal and when I insert it when the jedi holocron is in sith mode I hear old Luke, which is normally a blue crystal. so it plays different clips, but apparently not sith clips. i need to get some more crystals.

My Jedi Holocron switched to Sith when the battery completely died. When I went to charge it it, it gave me the red charge light. I employed the reset method here, and it is now back to a Jedi Holocron.
That’s what happened to mine as I had not turned it on in a while and the battery was completely dead. Freaked me out when I turned it on and it was red with the voice.
If the jedi turned sith Holocron, as this can turn, is the top and the normal jedi is the bottom; does is have any different dialog than using the normal sith top and normal jedi bottom for the empty bendu? Does it have different dialog if a jedi crystal is in the bottom jedi with sith’s jedi as the empty top?
I think you would have to take it apart, which I would not recomend. The crystals are basically a key fob. I have a device to scan and copy key fobs and tested it on a white kyber crystal and it worked.
you can improvise. cut a piece off a business card or greeting card. it could be plastic too, like off some packaging that you're throwing away. it just needs to be stiffer than a normal piece of paper and thin enough thlo fit in the hole.
When I first got my holocron, the crystals all read fine in the cube and changed color to match the crystal. It doesn't do that now though. I put in a green crystal that works in my saber and worked in the holocron before, but I only get the default Order 66 message. I'm not sure what else I can do to fix this??
bought mine this August in Batuu East, none of this is working. My holocron is not detecting any crystals, keep going blue and Playing Obi1 message. sad
For some reason, my Jedi holocron won’t read my Yoda Kyber crystal. I got to make it work by charging the holocron but now, it seems it won’t do it again. Thoughts? There is a lot of glue on the reader if that helps.
do you have a second crystal or a savi's workshop lightsaber? if a second crystal, does the holocron read the second crystal? if a lightsaber, does the lightsaber recognize the crystal?
Ruthsarian I do have other crystals, a Sith holocron, and a Savi’s. The yoda crystal works in the Savi’s and Sith holocron (green lights). It’s just with the Jedi Holocron it seems like it’s not being read.
@@ArnoldValentino I'm not sure what the problem could be. Best guess is the antenna that reads RFID tags in kyber crystals that's inside the holocron has been knocked out of position. it's normally held in place with hot glue and I have had a few people report it coming loose.
you can use a thing piece of stiff paper (like a business card) or piece of plastic. just as long as you cut it thin to fit inside the hole it'll be fine.
My Jedi Holocron randomly changed into a Sith one and now I can’t change it back because I don’t have that white paper strip... is there something else I can do? It’s super annoying, I can’t play any kyber crystals either because they’re all messed up.
keep trying. my guess is whatever you're using to push into the hole either isn't wide enough or long enough to activate the switch that disconnects the battery. also try fully charging the holocron, if you haven't already, before doing this. if the battery is low it might also cause this sith holocron effect.
Have you tried inserting a piece of plastic or stiff paper (like a sliver of business card) inside the slot near the charge port while it's not plugged in? doing so will disconnect the battery and allow the holocron to reset.
@@Ruthsarian I’ve been able to do it thankfully I had some paracetamol that was in aluminium foil wrapped, pair of scissors, cut it to size and in it went 👍🏻👍🏻 had to do some creative thinking
My holocrn has been stuck in sith mode since I first chaged it now I can't change it back to Jedi mode Ithink itd broken. I Don"t have one of those tabs to fix it. I tried making one but it did not work.
you could try leaving the holocron on. i forget if there's any kind of auto shutoff, but i think there is, meaning you'd have to keep turning it back on, but if you eventually drain the battery then you'll be able to reset the microcontroller just like you'd be doing if you used that strip of plastic or paper and inserted it into that slot on the base of the holocron. if you need to make your own tab, it needs to be thick paper or a thin plastic. business cards work well.

Ahh, I thought the earth bane was the indicator for low/dead battery. It was only when it started doing old-luke lines that something was wrong.
It doesn't work on sith holocrons sadly.

All of the kyber crystals i tryed were just old luke but the red crystal was qui gon

cut a thin strip off a business card or similarly thick/stiff paper. anything that's thin but rigid(ish) made of plastic or paper will work well.
what kind of paper did you use? Mine came like this by default and I can't get the thing to correct itself. It's not even reading any crystals!!!

cut a thin piece off a business card or maybe even regular paper, but you might have to fold the paper a couple times to get the right rigidity.
