    Debating that it is or is not a tornado sounds like the 'don't assume my identity' argument -- No; there's no debate here; the video clearly shows what it is... if it acts like a tornado and looks like a tornado; it is swirling and ripping up roofs like a scene straight out of the movie 'The Wizard of Oz,' it is most certainly a tornado -- trust me, it is a Tornado.

    If not a F1 or very possible small F2 tornado what else would it be spinning like that? I've lived in North Texas for 53 years. A F.05 (not a legit twister) hit my homes backyard 8 years ago breaking and downing all the trees and made a mess but left many other trees nearby undamaged.

    • @Sappy_Samara
      @Sappy_Samara ปีที่แล้ว

      F0 = branches get bent, F1 = roof damaged, F2 = houses damaged, F3 = buildings gone, F4 = trains flipped/thrown, F5 = whole town destroyed.
      This is the fujita scale.

    • @GettingthruLife
      @GettingthruLife ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Sappy_Samara Sounds right but there are also variences of wind mph for each rating so weak F2/moderate F2/strong F2 as in rated as "significant tornado" at windspeeds between 113-157 mph. Just like hurricanes Category 3 with a range of wind speed mph. It's not a documented standard but clearly some tornados in the same range /category cause more destruction based on windspeed variation weak or strong.

    • @Sappy_Samara
      @Sappy_Samara ปีที่แล้ว

      Well windspeed has nothing to do with the Fujita scale, it's how much damage a tornado causes.
      The Fujita scale, or Fujita-Pearson scale, is a scale for rating tornado intensity, based primarily on the damage tornadoes inflict on human-built structures and vegetation

    • @GettingthruLife
      @GettingthruLife ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Sappy_Samara caused by wind/windspeed. No windspeed then no damage. lower windspeed then less damage. Mute/moot point. Yes, the Fujuita is based on level of damage/destruction seen but again the damage is caused by winds created by the spinning. A 50mph windspeed recorded tornado will do way less damage than a 110 mph tornado. damaged based on the severity of windspeed created. Also why the scale has related windspeeds ratings per each level of increasing strength..

    • @Sappy_Samara

      Tornado has a specific definition, this was what is called a gustnado, which doesn't lower from a large thunderstorm and instead occurs at ground level for different reasons. That's why they say " apparent tornado".

    What spins debris around in the air? A Tornado! Lol We get them in Arizona. Usually weak and rating a zero to one on the scale. The strongest in AZ was an EF 2 in 1972. Still scary stuff weak or not.
