Thank you so much for this! I realize you made it long ago, but I learned a great deal from it and now know that what I want are the pre-trigger cables. THANK YOU!!!
Thank you for all these informativ videos! You're using the Mini TT1 or the Plus II as a remote, can i also use a Flex TT5 as a remote in my hand? Thanks
Hey Zach, great info on the topic for disabling the TT5 Hotshoe. Just wondered recently how the TT5 handles it if I leave it on by accident and sliding it onto my cam. btw....please get a shave or did PW put you in an emergeny room completely locked until you are final with the Nikons *lol*
Very informative Zack. is it possibel to use MiniTT1 and FlexTT5 (both for Canon) using other cameras than canon? i do have a couple of old film cameras (Pentax k-1000 and Yashika MAT 124g) what accessories and modifications to my transmitter do I need to make them work with such cameras? Thanks
Remote switch works but when I use with flash on Manual or TTL there is a delay with the shutter. Flash goes off before the shutter. I have the trigger only set on PW attached to camera and cable
+Paul Kuroda you may want to contact us more directly using info@pocketwizard.com, but a quick answer might be that you're using a Pre-Trigger cable and have the pre-trigger switch engaged? It's like holding the camera's shutter release half-way all the time - you can't access preview in that situation either, no PocketWizards involved!
No pre trigger. Just a direct PW cord from PW to Canon 1DX on standard still shooting. Sorry, I meant review, not preview. A shutter cable release works normal, but when exchanged to the PW device it shut off the review.
Paul, please work with us via info@pocketwizard.com Again it sounds like an -ACC cord being used in a Plus II without the correct adapter. Photos to info@pocketwizard.com will help with this discussion.
Should work. You need a cable like this: www.amazon.com/JJC-S-NX-Shutter-Release-Samsung/dp/B00L7R4B5U and an adapter like this: shop.pocketwizard.com/products/smfms-adapter That should work!
I have 3 Sony Alpa Cameras, A58, A77, A55. After Carefully going to the cable finder and spending hours with 6 or 7 Sony dealers who also sell pocket wizards and ordering 4 different cables only one fits the A55 and none fit my A77 or the A58 and the Pockets Wizard cable finder is very wrong about the Sony camera Cables for the My new PW III's I just purchased for use on these cameras. I continue to call PW Customer support but no answers or help. Can you help us Sony Alpa users? There are no videos or information for the Sony crowd.. thanks.. Dr. Bill
Sony changed their motor drive port recently after using the same one for about 20 years. We mention the compatibility on the bottom of this page: www.pocketwizard.com/products/cable_accessory/38/S-RMS1AM-ACC/ You're right, we need to address this Sony situation better. Not sure when we'll get to it, but I appreciate you bringing it to our attention! We might have a solution to recommend to you, though. Send us an email at info@pocketwizard.com. Thanks!
