Autumn this year. They're having problems with compatibility with the Canon version and are taking more time to test the nikon one before releasing it.
The model's beauty aside.......there was a time, when good lighting was subtle, and that a skilled photographer tried to make the shot appear as if it were not lit by flash or strobes .........this was part of the skill.........I see this as great technology, but really used in a heavy handed way (at least in this video)
So helpful thank you! In the studio, I have two studio lights and i'd like to use my flash as a hairlight. I have two FLEX TT5s - do i need to purchase something else that attaches to my studio light????
I have a question please ! I have the SB-700 and I was wondering will they work regarding the high speed sync with these pocket wizards !!! As I noticed in the video you are saying "E-TTL" mode which I dont have in this flash unit, it has only the "TTL" one !!!
Hi Mark,I have Nikon D700 with TT1, TT5, AC3, and speedlight SD910. I update the firmware for D700, and all TT1, TT5, AC3 already. I can switch the flash on or off by AC3, but I can't change the power from AC3, nor my D700 through TT1 and TT5. YES, I can sync each other, but I can't adjust the power.
Is HSS true high speed. Run into the issue with plus 3's. I could not shoot above 1/250th without getting the black banding in the frame. They have HSR mode, and PW told me this is for use when you are motor driving the camera, not to increase shutter speed. So achieving 1/8000th of camera was not possible. Can I achieve above sync speed with these newer wizards??
Hey Mark, I really want to get these but I have some concerns. The first one is; If you have two flashes in a single group, will the output of the two flashes be the same? Or are they variable depending on the distance of the subject to the flash?
Please, tell me. Why my TT1 doesn't fire the 380ex when it's on the hot shoe, while 580exII is mounted on the TT5? 580exII fires, but I can't make the 380ex work. My setup is: Canon 5d + TT1 + 380ex / TT5 + 580exII
Hi Do you have any idea how to link a new TT5 to an old TT1, I had a set of 2 X TT5 and a TT1 and I just bought from ebay another TT5 with a TT1 but I can't marry the TT5 to my old TT1 to have 3 X TT5s working under one TT1 Any idea how to set it up so I can use 3 flashes? Thank you
This video came into my feed 13yrs later.... FlexTT5, pocketwizard's biggest dissaster (for CANON), how could they release a product that required a sock to block radio signals just to make it work (for canon)... and the sock didn't even come out until later, after people complained it wasn't working... Didn't they test that out before selling?
Thanks for the info. I know your style of presenting is 'all business, no fluff,' which is welcome, but imo you should introduce, or at least acknowledge your models for their contribution. You totally ignore their presence. Fair call?
Not fair at all. This was a promotional video scripted by PocketWizard. Check out my other 500+ videos and you’ll see that I not only acknowledge the models, but I help promote them.
Thanks Mark! I haven't used my set in a few years and needed a refresher. Great presentation.

@optiosv She's with Major Model NYC.

Beautiful system ...
Very nice info
Will this work with Nikon SB800 and the Flextt5?
Robert Walker It should. I’m not 100% sure though. This technology is now 11 years old. Newer systems work much better.
wow very good.. aot of details. Thanks.
Thanks for video, great info and she es pretty beautiful
how about reviewing the canon ST-E2
Aviso: Watch attentively the way he sets up the Pocket Wizards in a specific order. Very important to do it in that order.
And Christina´s web page is...?
very useful thanks
what were your camera settings for this video?
can i have those pictures of christina
very informative , but the product seems a little overpriced. With my 2x 580exII im looking at almost 700USD expense
Good lord I cant get over christina. Next time use a not so hot model :D
It won't work, just like that you put a Nikon speedlite on a Canon body, won't work.
0:34 inside joke
1:52 haha mother what?
