i made this mistake... after having fissure surgery i got 80% cured... but 1.5 year later i started doing some strenuous exeecise... and the pain started... it has been 1 year now and i am having this problem... each day i am alive because of a local anaethetic cream... i am thinking to see a doctor once again...

I had my surgery on 2nd August 2024 after bearing anal pain for 3 months. Couldnt bear anymore and decided to go for surgery which includes LIS and Fissurectomy. My fissure is very small as said by doctor but pain from internal spinchter muscle spasms are unbearable. Post surgery: That intense unbearable glass cut like pain is gone to some extent. Muscle spasms are there but less severe. I am in painkillers but on and off. Taking sitz bath. The wound pain and discomfort is persistent as I have got stitches. After bowel, pinching pain is there though trying to bear it. Bowel movement cycle got messed up post surgery. Though i take sitz bath after that, but pain and discomfort persist. If you are a male and have sudden erection, then spinchter muscles feel pressure and pains, even you may find difficulty in urinating. Started to walk a bit. Not able to sit yet. My healing is not that satisfactory till now. I hope things will resolve soon

Just wanted to share my experience since it can be useful for somebody. I had anal fissure operation 5 days ago. The pain is severe and I can't exist without painkillers. I was eating very small amount of soups after the surgery plus syrup which softens the stool. Today I finally felt that I really need to go to the toilet and tbh I have never felt such pain in my entire life.... I took some laxative but surprise, surprise - it didn't help. Then I did enema but very little because of this stupid bottle which I couldn't empty entirely. My pain started at 6pm and finished at 4 am.... Enema also didn't help as much as it should, but eventually I finally went to the toilet and the feeling was like I was GIVING BIRTH TO A CHILD WITH MY ANUS:) do not recommend - i will try to take some laxatives every 2 days maybe and try different foods.... My dream for now is to be 100% healthy

There are still 1.5 hours left for the operation (surgery). Now my operation is in just few mins . I am very worried about it. The doctor has said that you will be able to walk after 2 days and will be able to do daily chores after 7 days, but as per the online comments and some other people's advice, I will have to suffer a lot for a month. @MrPeter yes it still hurts I have a follow up with my surgeon on thurs it doesn't hurt as much but the pain is still there.
