Utti Jaeger Regiment’s international exercise and training activity . Bilateral special operations forces training activity with the USA and United Kingdom have taken place in Finnish Army's Utti Jaeger Regiment on summer 2022. The objective of the exercise is to develop the capability of Finnish special operations forces and to improve the ability for joint operating with international partners.
Finnish army has conducted several different training exercises with United Kingdom's and United States' helicopter forces during summer 2022.
Activity relating to the SOF training exercise are conducted both in Southern and Northern Finland.
The exercises are participated by service personnel from the Finnish Defence Forces, US special operations forces and other units.
The helicopter air activity and the use of training ammunition and small explosives may cause short-term noise impact near the training sites.
Ending in late August, the exercise is part of Army complementary international training and exercise activity for summer 2022.
The Utti Jaeger Regiment will conduct joint exercise cooperation with US Army Aviation units over the course of this summer. The activity will be incorporated into overall exercising of the Army. While in Finland, the aviation equipment and personnel will rely on the facilities and areas of the Satakunta Air Command.

Maavoimien valmiusyksiköt harjoittelevat kansainvälisten kumppanien kanssa Vigilant Fox -harjoituksessa Niinisalon ja Hämeenkankaan alueella sekä Ryske-harjoituksessa Sodankylän ja Rovajärven alueella 25.-29. heinäkuuta 2022.
Vigilant Fox -harjoitukseen osallistuvat valmiusyksiköt Porin prikaatista, Kaartin Jääkärirykmentistä ja Karjalan prikaatista sekä kansainväliset osastot Yhdysvalloista ja Iso-Britanniasta. Harjoituksen kokonaisvahvuus on yhteensä noin 750 henkilöä. Harjoituksen johtaa Maavoimien esikunta.
Ryske-harjoitukseen osallistuvat Jääkäriprikaatin ja Kainuun prikaatin valmiusyksiköt sekä kansainväliset osastot Yhdysvalloista, Ruotsista ja Norjasta. Harjoituksen kokonaisvahvuus on noin 750 henkilöä. Osaharjoituksen johtaa Jääkäriprikaati.
Harjoituksia tukee Utin Jääkärirykmentin johtama lentotoimintaharjoitus, johon osallistuu suomalaisten ohella Yhdysvaltojen maavoimien ilmailun ja Iso-Britannian kuninkaallisten ilmavoimien joukkoja.
Harjoituskokonaisuuksien tavoitteena on Maavoimien valmiusyksiköiden valmiuden ja suorituskyvyn kehittäminen sekä taktisen tason toimintamenetelmien yhteensovittaminen kansainvälisten kumppaneiden kanssa. Ryske-harjoituksessa tavoitteena on lisäksi kehittää osallistuvien joukkojen yhteistoimintaa arktisessa toimintaympäristössä.
Harjoituskokonaisuus kuuluu Maavoimien kesän 2022 täydentävään kansainväliseen harjoitus- ja koulutustoimintaan.

The Boeing CH-47 Chinook is a tandem rotor helicopter developed by American rotorcraft company Vertol and manufactured by Boeing Vertol. The Chinook is a heavy-lift helicopter that is among the heaviest lifting Western helicopters.
Sikorsky UH-60 Black Hawk
The Sikorsky UH-60 Black Hawk is a four-blade, twin-engine, medium-lift utility military helicopter manufactured by Sikorsky Aircraft.
UH-60A entered service with the U.S. Army in 1979, to replace the Bell UH-1 Iroquois as the Army's tactical transport helicopter. This was followed by the fielding of electronic warfare and special operations variants of the Black Hawk. Improved UH-60L and UH-60M utility variants have also been developed. Modified versions have also been developed for the U.S. Navy, Air Force, and Coast Guard. In addition to U.S. Army use, the UH-60 family has been exported to several nations.
