Nobody was like Mike!!
Was, is, will ever be. 🐐
Michael Jordan played five seasons without Scottie Pippen

85-86. 30-52..First round exit
86-87. 40-42...First round exit
01-02. 37-45..out of playoffs
02-03. 37-45..out of playoffs
Lebron james has won more playoff Series' than any player in NBA HISTORY
Lebron james has been to 10 nba finals. Only Bill Russell and Sam Jones (in a mostly nine team league) have made more nba finals appearances
LeBron james carried an absolutely horrific 2007 Cleveland Cavaliers team to the nba finals
In the modern NBA era (post 1960) only nine NBA top 75 players have won a championship without another top 75 player as a teammate
Rick Barry (1975)
Bill Walton (1977)
Hakeem Olajuwon (1994)
Tim Duncan (2005) (2007)
Kobe Bryant (2009) (2010)
Steph Curry (2015) (2022)
LeBron james (2016)
Kawhi Leonard (2019)
Giannis Antetokounmpo (2021)
As you can see, LeBron James is on the list and Michael Jordan isnt
Lebron james has won 17 playoff series, without an nba top 75 teammate. Michael Jordan won ZERO
In the year before Michael Jordan and LeBron James joined their team and the year after they left their team, their records were
83-84 bulls 27-55
84-85 bulls. 38-44
92-93 bulls 57-25
93-94 bulls 55-27
98-99 bulls 13-37 without Scottie Pippen
00-01 wizards 19-63
01-02 wizards. 37-45
02-03 wizards 37-45
03-04 wizards 25-57
02-03 cavaliers 17-65
03-04 cavaliers 35-47
09-10 cavaliers 61-21
10-11 cavaliers 19-63
09-10 heat. 47-35
10-11 heat 58-24
14-15 heat 37-45
2013-14 cavaliers 33-49
2014-15 cavaliers 53-29
2017- 18 cavaliers 50-32
2018-19 cavaliers 19-63
2017-18 lakers. 35-47
2018-19 lakers were 20-14 when LeBron James got injured on Christmas day.
As you can see When LeBron James joins a team, the team improves more than Michael Jordan and when LeBron James leaves a team, the team always goes into the tank.
Michael Jordan, excluding the 94-97 seasons, when the NBA moved the three point line to 22 feet, was a career 28% three point shooter. LeBron James is a career 34% three point shooter
Michael Jordan was a great defensive player, in an Era where you could handcheck. Playing defense is much easier when you can handcheck. For nearly 6'9 250 LeBron James' entire career he wasn't afforded the opportunity to handcheck.
THE EVIDENCE IS CLEAR..LEBRON JAMES IS THE GOAT!!!!!
I have added a Postscript
So many have replied, that LeBron james didn't make the playoffs his first two years and Jordan did. What they fail to say is, in 1985, 16 of 23 teams made the playoffs. In 2004, 16 of 29 teams made the playoffs. It was MUCH EASIER to make the playoffs in 1985, as opposed to 2004. Perfect example is, the 1985 86 bulls went 30-52 and made the playoffs and the 2004 05 cavaliers went 42-40 and did not make the playoffs. Also, I don't know, possibly, maybe, Jordan had a HUGE ADVANTAGE considering he played three years of college basketball and LeBron James was 19 years old, and straight out of high school

I know people go nuts about putting Bron on the Mt Rushmore of basketball but if you really examine every ring he won, dude is basically Dirk with more stats. He won a single championship without a superteam that was amazing in its own way, but we discredit KDs rings for being on the Warriors, but give him credit for his 3.
James could carry a team, Jordan made clutch shots. Both are very important.

LeBumb doesn't come close to MICHAEL JORDAN! He is the GREATEST BASKETBALL PLAYER EVER! THERE'S NO DOUBT, MJ IS THE GOAT! 👏👍
The way people cannot get enough of Michael Jordan after almost 25 years of retirement is proof of how Great he was and is. When I'm in TH-cam I always watch a Jordan video. What else is there to watch ???? There will NEVER be another Michael Jordan. We Are Grateful that there is One.
Dude was unguardable!! Great video bro!
Tx for watching
If you wasnt a MJ fan back then you still watched jus to see what he was gonna do thats how amazing he was..
The reason that MJ is the GOAT is that the title is given to him, and not as self-proclaimed / self-anointed.
Excellent point. And I could elaborate further that the title was given to him by the fans not the media. MJ's story is authentic whereas Lebron's is a forced narrative.
Simply the best.
MJ
Wasn’t just the numbers… Looked like he was flying and dancing…
Was def flying through the air! Tx for watching
Petry in motion.
JHC, you must never have seen a Wilt video, have you?
Look up David Thompson the sky Walker and DR. J MJ didn't have anything on them period
His hang time was almost a 1 second
If at all there was a player who could justify or even top the moniker 'His Airness', it is Michael Jordan. Jordan tops our list of players with the highest vertical leap of 48 inches. This to go along with a hangtime of 0.92 seconds
David Thompson the sky Walker look him up plus DR J
Unstoppable 🥶
Jordan was 9 times all defensive first at the same time as scoring champ. That really shows how much of a beast he was on both ends.
Also steals champ at the same time as scoring champ.
Something that never gets mentioned. Jordan is top 5 in both totals and per game averages in both scoring and steals. Some players maybe both for one stat but not 2.
Jordan took it to another level in the finals especially the first 3.
91-- average 11.4 assists per game highest for anyone not Magic.
92 - - average an impressive 42% for 3s and in game 1 shot six 3s in a half which was a record for 18 years until Ray Allen the only person to shoot more in a half
93-- average 41 points per game highest ever.
If there had been a Defensive Player of the Year Award in Wilt's time, I wonder how many times he would have won it? Jordan won some finals 'cause offensive fouls were not called on him. Steals mean $hit. Go for a steal and miss, that means an easy basket for the other guy. Change a rule to stop Wilt? That was done a couple of times. Change a rule to stop Jordan? Har, har, har. You must be $hitting me. He did what he wanted, rules did NOT apply.
@@dougamundson6836Wilt and Jordan both top tier being great on both offense and defense.

The circus-twisting-reverse layup against the 3 Nets defenders was better than the "spectacular move" against the Lakers IMO.
I think it's hard to find the best Michael Jordan move there is because most of his moves are hard to do. The shot over Craig elo is insane when you see all the movement Jordan made to get the ball, then to shoot while being under pressure and jumping through the air at such a distance. The Nets on is Spectacular,it's one of my favorites. The one against Lambeer is madness. To think about that, execute it and the ball went in. Jordan is More Than Basketball. He is my Greatest Sportsman and Greatest American of All Time.
This is the very best of Micheal Air Jordan aka the legend and the greatest of all time 💯😁😉💪
If you weren't there, you can't understand. You didn't watch the game. You watched Mike. Waiting for the next thing you've never seen before.
Made up debate. MJ da GOAT. Always was, still is.
And forever WILL BE!!
Best that ever was, at anything.
You must have not seen much of 'Anything' other than basketball, and only when Jordan was playing.
Absurdly false and content-free at the same time. I thought it was obvious that I was referring specifically to sports. And, if there's a conversation to be had in that regard, it would be about Sugar Ray Robinson vis a vis MJ. Perhaps try actually saying something.
MJ was more like art than sports, keeps being amazing, even after 20-30 years.
His skills on the floor was exceptional
Nobody couldn't touch him 💯👍💪
"Just remember, MIKE. When you were dominating the league, they (NBA) changed the rules to HELP you dominate. When I was dominating the league, they changed the rules to try and STOP me from dominating!" - Wilt @ the 1997 NBA All-Star Game
MJ's response........he turned and walked away!
Thank You So Very Much for that comment.
@@dougamundson6836 I grew up in the 80's and 90's. Like everyone else, I loved watching MJ. Hell, I don't think LeChoke Steroid is anywhere near MJs level. But if I have the first pick in an all-time NBA draft, where I can choose from any player who has ever played, in their absolute peak physical prime, I'm taking Wilt every time. Imagine being so good, that dunking is banned from the game! Imagine being such a freak athlete that he could make free throws by leaping and dunking from the foul line without taking a running start! That's why you can't cross the free throw line until the ball touches the rim, because Wilt used to do that!
The first GOAT, and still holds over 50 records 50 years after playing.
Wilt was wrong here. The nba changed the rules in 1987 to stop Jordan's dominance.
@@TheLionaaa I think he was talking about flagrant fouls, but more importantly how the games were called. Its the same complaint others have made.
The fact it’s still a debate when Brons had 20+ seasons he’s certainly tipped the scales but will never surpass Jordan
He’s not top 10.
Watching MJ is watching perfection. Last second shot in the finals and who are you going to select on you're team to win it for you? Lebron or MJ? If you say Lebron you a liar and just an MJ hater. Even Lebron would take himself out.
MJ most of the time jumps forward and dunk, layup, double/triple clutch vs other players jumps up which makes his goals look so much more dynamic before of his forward jump motion.

The only problem is Jordan never won a title during the 80s, just the 90s when the NBA was weaker and the best players had retired or were at the end of their careers. He was the greatest player in the 90s but not the 80s. Bird was the best in the 80s with Magic a close second. That's why Jordan says there is no GOAT. You cannot compare players from different eras.

Other than Wilt. Now, tell me. Why was Jordan better. 'Because he is' is NOT an argument.
Reality is: It's impossible to know, Wilt played in an era where there where so few teams and players, yes, he had all of the accolades but when if there's 10 teams in the league and less than 200 players it's just way to little of a sample size to compare to... now as I said we will never know because that was his time, MJ's time was different. To me there is no GOAT because it is just 2 hard to compare one era to an other, but MJ was the best player of his era no question about it, and wilt was the best winner but Bill Russel was objectively the better player, same with Magic and Bird, Magic won more but bird was better, same in Kobe's era, Kobe was easy the best player of the 2000s, same as Curry in the 2010s and same as Jokic in the 2020s so far, BB is not rocket science, you can clearly see who is the better player even if they don't win as much because their team is shit. Other than LeBum, he's never been the top player of anything, not even in his wins he always gets bailed out every single win he has, but for some reason people suck him like he is, just sad...@@dougamundson6836
@@seebbsss that is a weak argument. there were less teams. but the talent was more concentrated. and teams could design teams. the celtics were the first super team. and in that era. (where the avg height is only a couple of inches diff) wilt excelled. he avg 42 pts and 25 rebs for then entire first 6 years in the nba. then to win championships. volunteered to change his entire approach to the game and went from primarily a scorer to a facilitator. and then won an assist title as a center. did not win many championships. but he was the center battling the celtics through all those championships. and those were close games. to this day. half a century after he has retired. he still holds more nba records than any other player in the game. and it is not even close.
there is a reason they use the term "modern era" when assessing the greats. and that is because if they include pre 1970. there is no way they can market anyone else as the greatest. because then they have to include wilt in the conversation.

He made basketball global. Hoops came into UK neighbourhoods because of his world status. That's GOAT level.
No one commands attention like Jordan. Even watching his videos over and over and over is like spell binding. There is so much to Jordan. Nobody has that much for sure
Lebron James says he's the goat or the king. Michael Jordan never said he was The goat or king of basketball. Everybody else said that he is the king of basketball.
Never left the Bulls despite having only one really good player next to him his whole career (Pippen), made the team continuously better, dominated the peak era of basketball and its pool of the greatest talent ever (just look at the Dream Team of 92), automatic highlight reel, the ultimate beast in offense and defense and unbeaten in the finals. Plus being just 15 years in the league. Imagine what he could’ve done more if he’d play a few years more. We only can assume but we don’t have to because he’ll always be the absolute greatest player of all time. There’ll never be anyone like him.
To say this, Jordan needed to take some rings from Prime Magic and Bird ... he did not.

Stats don't matter? Really? So, your argument is that Jordan was the best 'because he was'? There is such a thing in the world as: critical thinking. Just for fun, learn something about it.
well, even if stats matter, Jordan was in every metric the best ever, SO he has a point, ofc if you go with longevity stats he will be behind a lot of people, he only played 13 real seasons (since he was out for the rest with injuries) but per game stats he ranks the best ever in almost every single one, PER, Box+ -, ER, UR, etc. so what is your point? Maybe the one that has to learn somethin is you, ESPN lies you every single day my dude, Lebum is complete trash compared to MJ, actually there is no comparison, MJ lives in planet GOAT and the rest live in earth, the difference between MJ and Leflop is 2 Hall of famer players accolades together, just to give you some perspective of how far your Stat Padding King is (for now, once he retires and all of the shit comes out he won't even be in the hall of fame... Yeah ok lol.
Why is this even a debate? -rodman
You only have a handful of sportsman who's names are synonymous with their sport. Muhammed Ali, Babe Ruth, Wayne Gretzky, Tiger Woods, and Michael Jeffrey Jordan.
They're all up for debate. Alot of boxing historians consider Sugar Ray Robinson the greatest in boxing. Willie Mays the greatest in baseball. Tiger is still 3 behind Nicklaus in most majors. Pele was once considered the greatest in soccer but Messi has probably surpassed him. Different eras with different competition under a different set of circumstances makes the debate more interesting.
@@J-Tyson558 I hear ya, but I’m not referring to the greatest, just the most synonymous. Most people if you ask them to name a boxer will say Muhammed Ali.
@@ninjaaitools And my point is, just because you're the most synonymous doesn't mean you're the greatest. And it changes with time. I'm not sure if Ali is the most synonymous with people under 35 yrs old today as they were too young to know or appreciate how great he was.
Very good analogy love the list of GREATS!!!!
@@J-Tyson558 i mean, that's super cool dude, but if he's just referring to the most synonymous and ur suddenly bringing a "who's the greatest" perspective here, ain't this frankly completely useless, unneeded, and unjustified? yk, not to say just dumb and stupid by bringing non related controversy...
Highlights videos are cool and all, but every basketball fan should watch some full MJ games, it's a different feel, you really is impacted at how good this dude was. A few years ago, I watched his very first NBA game (I think it was against the Washington Bullets if I remember correctly) and it was the only MJ game I ever watched where he wasn't the 1st offensive option. I watched his first game at the MSG too, the game he did the "rock the baby" dunk. I think that was 4 or 5 games after his debut against the Bullets, and he was clearly the OWNER of the team by then. It didn't took him 10 games as a rookie to become the franchise player!
His defense was just as ridiculous as his offense. Look at how many steal to transition buckets.
Forget about the number of rings and other accomplishments. Let's talk about basic skill, or rather, the lack thereof in LeBron's case. It's clear as day that MJ was lightyears ahead of LeBron in terms of sheer basketball prowess.
LeBron can only score most of his points by driving to the rim. It's like watching a one-trick pony in action. Sure, he's got the build of a freight train, but when it comes to actual skill, he falls way short.
Let's start with the basics: shooting. While Jordan was draining silky smooth jumpers from all over the court, LeBron struggles to hit a mid-range shot without looking like a deer caught in headlights. He heavily relies on driving to the rim for scoring. His shooting abilities are inconsistent. His mid-range game lacks finesse, and his post moves are underdeveloped. Additionally, his free throw shooting has been a weakness throughout his career.
And let's not forget about footwork and finesse. Jordan had the grace of a ballet dancer combined with the precision of a surgeon. His footwork was a work of art, allowing him to create separation from defenders and hit those jaw-dropping shots. But LeBron? Well, he's more like a bull in a china shop, finesse is a foreign concept to him.
Furthermore, let's talk about killer instinct. When the game is on the line, and everything is at stake, LeFrozen seems to fade into the background. Jordan had an insatiable hunger for victory. He wanted the ball in his hands, and he wanted to take the last shot. He relished the pressure and thrived in those high-pressure moments. LeBron, well, he seems content with passing the ball or deferring to others when the going gets tough. He melts under the spotlight while Jordan thrived, hitting iconic contested shots and carrying his teams to victory.
But hey, at least LeBron can dish out some flashy passes, right? Well, let's not get carried away, his passing is more about brute force than finesse. It's like watching a quarterback throw a Hail Mary pass every time he makes a play. Sometimes it works, but more often than not, it's just a reckless display of power. He can't hold a candle to Magic Johnson. Magic's artistic flair, court vision, and ability to control the game through his passing set him apart as the greatest playmaker in the game.
Not to mention defense, while LeBron is often praised for his physicality on the court, his defensive prowess completely falls short when compared to the likes of MJ. When it comes to lockdown defense.
Let's start with Jordan, who was a defensive juggernaut. His tenaciousness on the defensive end was legendary, earning him numerous NBA All-Defensive Team selections. Jordan's ability to shut down opponents was unparalleled. He possessed lightning-quick hands, exceptional footwork, and an uncanny ability to anticipate his opponents' moves. Whether it was stealing the ball, blocking shots, or simply suffocating his matchups, Jordan was a terror on defense.
Now, let's turn our attention to LeBron. His defensive lapses, lack of consistent effort, and questionable decision-making on that end of the court have been evident. Unlike MJ, who embraced the challenge of guarding the opposing team's best player, LeBron has often shied away from such assignments. His defensive contributions have mostly revolved around chasing down opponents for highlight reel blocks, rather than consistently locking down his man or being a disruptive force.
It's important to note that defense is not solely about individual accolades or highlight plays. It's about consistently making a significant impact on that end of the court, shutting down opponents, and being a leader on defense. Once again, LeBron falls short compared to the defensive legacy left by Jordan.
*Conclusion:* When it comes to skill alone, LeBron is like the kid who brings a water gun to a paintball match. He may have some "impressive" numbers and highlight reels, but when you break it down, it's clear that Jordan was on a completely different level. LeBron's reliance on brute force and lack of true skill make him the odd one out in this conversation about who's the GOAT or all-time great.
How anyone can say LBJ is all brute force and lacks true skill, shows how little you know about the game and likely you never played at a high level. Go watch Game 6 against Boston in 2012- the greatest performance of all time. Down 3-2, in Boston, a year after 2011 Finals, everything on the line. What did he do?
Clown.
