Re: Their Breakup. The founding member/bassist Albert Joaquin moved to Australia and was replaced by Liam Jaeger who went on to start The Balconies. Higher Rites was the new name for this same band, with Liam along with other founding members Robb Barnes, Clayton Fisher & Nate Mason. I produced their tours and managed them on the road. They were absolutely wonderful and are still family to me 10 years later.
I thought they broke up as well... The bassist went on and formed The Balconies, and some of the members also went on to form another band named Higher Rites.
any band that MANAGES to even remind someone of ATDI is doing a good job, in my opinion. even if some people think they didn't develop the sound, or make it their own (which they did, considerably)
+Andrew Church my band during 04-08 (Burning Fields) played a few shows with them, and we all really liked the guys and their sound. Still a hidden gem in the Canadian scene to this day. Haven't really spoken to any of them in probably ten years though..wish I could help more!
Only songs I ever downloaded from Myspace!! Love this band!!
