My bestfriend has encephalitis. She doesn't have much memory loss but her speaking abilities have declined a lot, she can't speak much now. She is also very confused and spaced out most of the time and her movements are also very stiff where she can't move freely. My mum was 72 when she had encephalitis. Mum complained of having a cold/flue and within hours mum was found on the floor having fits/seizures. That sounds like you had too much histamine which was causing inflammation in the CNS. Taking antihistamine allergy meds will immediately relive these symptoms but your body will stop regulating histamine itself and you are actually making the problem much worse.

Wow thank you , over this past couple of years, I keep getting HIB=Haemophilus influenza strain b. My hole character has changed, I've shrunk , and trying to remember things just doesn't happen , I've been to hospital in numerous occasions and the drs for loads of different symptoms. I had to go looking at what could be wrong , I feel like a hypochondriac with all the symptoms and felt like I was wasting the drs time, just reading the comments section answered loads of questions, I get headaches all throughout the day and being woken up. + loads of other symptoms. Now my brain /ears have a swooshing noise that goes on forever, I thought it was tinnitus. Then when I go to the drs I seem fine , my oxygen levels are fine , my heart is up and down like a yoyo. The blood tests will come back fineish. The cognitive issues seem to be the worst , even my dog runs when I'm waking up in the morning. My dog,s actions told me, I had something on my right lung and finally after another CT scan but with contrast and revealed the white mass. I can read but I don't retain the information. When I went for an ultrasound the nurse couldn't find my spleen. Then when report went to The doctor who said everything is ok . I am less than half the person I once was. Now I'm gonna talk to my dr again , everytime I'm diagnosed with something I will research and try fix it . Thank you for this video.

Recently discharged from hospital with encephalitis. Primary symptom was altered blood in urine No urine infection but was given Trimethrapin which I swear caused the brain reaction. Been through the mill with clinicians unable to diagnose any causative organism, viral or bacterial. As I have had severe reactions to other antimicrobials, Trimethrapin should never have been prescribed and it can cause the hell I have survived. Absurdly, the doctors were not interested in the renal issue in spite of getting pitting oedema. I had to convince them a renal event had occurred.
@@nikitajain3334 there are many causes, so I can’t specify. But if she had a reaction to Trimethropin, as I did, I’m glad to say I came through it with my brain fully recovered. So I hope M in L has the same recovery. I wish her well.

I had covid a little over a month ago. I had over a 102 degree fever. I was getting better until I woke up one day and my short term memory was basically non-existent. I couldn't remember who I was either. I went to the hospital and they did all the tests that they do. It ended up that I had encephalitis due to having covid. Doctors that are first contact here in the UK, the ‘General Practitioner’ or GP doctors, are not going to diagnose this. I handed the symptoms spoken of, on a plate, and there was not the slightest suggestion by the staff there, it was encephalitis. They may have tested for one type, but unfortunately a snapshot of blood tests may not catch it, if you do not test for the particular type. Symptoms, have declined as a diagnostic method here - our NHS has been run-down to the point if there is nit an irrefutable collection of proof, you won;t be diagnosed. 14 years of a hostile government, what did anyone expect? Great info in this vid, I have had all these symptoms over the last three months, the headache was a burning, rolling thing behind the eyes, moving up to the top of the front of the head. Wanted to die, that’s how bad it was - take paracetamol, this seems to blunten these awful headaches. Mine was one big bout of that, then it subsided to a low level background/resident headache. Sorry to hear that! How are you doing now? My sister was neglected by the NHS and we think she has some type of autoimmune encephalitis. It all started off as intense head pain, personality change and psyhosis followed by a fever yet the doctors botched the testing up. E.g. the blood tests for autoimmune encephalitis went missing and the MRI was blurry because they didn't sedate the patient enough. Eventually they sectioned my sister despite us refusing it and she is now back at home. Still has brain burning and body pain, but it's more mild but can fluctuate a lot. We had to formally complain but NHS is so slow that we have had no response - pathetic.

For me, it was a nightmare that I could not wake up from. by now, your neurologist should have some idea of cause of infection that is producing the antibody. My daughter went through memory loss, character change, coma, seizures, multiple organ failures (heart failure, liver failure, kidney failure she couldn’t breathe on her own, while on a feeding tube). It put me through changes that I can never come back from. Only thing I can tell you is to stay strong for your son, and he needs you now more than ever. If it’s like anything like my daughters condition he will not remember even going to the hospital. you sitting there next to him bedside and observing his changes is so important for his recovery. Information that your neurologist definitely needs to hear. Don’t rely on the sitters are to analyze his behavior. Only you know the difference between his conscious mind and his subconscious. About a week and a half ago, I had an allergic reaction to mosquito bites on my fingers while I was asleep. Nothing changed until brain swelling went down. I took naproxen and ibuprofen together. It worked. I couldnt spell my name, tie my shoes, i didn't remember how to talk. It was weird. Mum complained of having a cold/flue and within hours mum was found on the floor having fits/seizures.
Mum was then admitted into intensive care and was in a coma for just over a week. Mum then became septic and was gravely poorly.
Anyway, mum survived and we then noticed she had started with dementia.

My husband was born w encephalitis - he was given up for adoption and was in a Catholic orphanage in Cobble Hill Brooklyn until he was 18 months old. The first family that took him brought him back. He cried all the time. Then he was adopted by German and Irish parents who were wonderful. He grew up to be super smart so the concerns over him having mental retardation were ultimately unwarranted. It makes me sad that his parents gave him up because of encephalitis.

That sounds like you had too much histamine which was causing inflammation in the CNS. Taking antihistamine allergy meds will immediately relive these symptoms but your body will stop regulating histamine itself and you are actually making the problem much worse.

Wow thank you , over this past couple of years, I keep getting HIB=Haemophilus influenza strain b. My hole character has changed, I've shrunk , and trying to remember things just doesn't happen , I've been to hospital in numerous occasions and the drs for loads of different symptoms. I had to go looking at what could be wrong , I feel like a hypochondriac with all the symptoms and felt like I was wasting the drs time, just reading the comments section answered loads of questions, I get headaches all throughout the day and being woken up. + loads of other symptoms. Now my brain /ears have a swooshing noise that goes on forever, I thought it was tinnitus. Then when I go to the drs I seem fine , my oxygen levels are fine , my heart is up and down like a yoyo. The blood tests will come back fineish. The cognitive issues seem to be the worst , even my dog runs when I'm waking up in the morning. My dog,s actions told me, I had something on my right lung and finally after another CT scan but with contrast and revealed the white mass. I can read but I don't retain the information. When I went for an ultrasound the nurse couldn't find my spleen. Then when report went to The doctor who said everything is ok . I am less than half the person I once was. Now I'm gonna talk to my dr again , everytime I'm diagnosed with something I will research and try fix it . Thank you for this video.

Recently discharged from hospital with encephalitis. Primary symptom was altered blood in urine No urine infection but was given Trimethrapin which I swear caused the brain reaction. Been through the mill with clinicians unable to diagnose any causative organism, viral or bacterial. As I have had severe reactions to other antimicrobials, Trimethrapin should never have been prescribed and it can cause the hell I have survived. Absurdly, the doctors were not interested in the renal issue in spite of getting pitting oedema. I had to convince them a renal event had occurred.
Frustrated that MDs have mostly list all Diagnostic intelligence....we are sick and have to do all the research....

I had covid a little over a month ago. I had over a 102 degree fever. I was getting better until I woke up one day and my short term memory was basically non-existent. From 1 1/2 years ago, I had an encephalitis sickness before. But I have a hiccups now. And it's really been occuring for over time.
Doctors that are first contact here in the UK, the ‘General Practitioner’ or GP doctors, are not going to diagnose this. I handed the symptoms spoken of, on a plate, and there was not the slightest suggestion by the staff there, it was encephalitis. They may have tested for one type, but unfortunately a snapshot of blood tests may not catch it, if you do not test for the particular type. Symptoms, have declined as a diagnostic method here - our NHS has been run-down to the point if there is nit an irrefutable collection of proof, you won;t be diagnosed. 14 years of a hostile government, what did anyone expect? Great info in this vid, I have had all these symptoms over the last three months, the headache was a burning, rolling thing behind the eyes, moving up to the top of the front of the head. Wanted to die, that’s how bad it was - take paracetamol, this seems to blunten these awful headaches. Mine was one big bout of that, then it subsided to a low level background/resident headache. Very tough illness.
Sorry to hear that! How are you doing now? My sister was neglected by the NHS and we think she has some type of autoimmune encephalitis. It all started off as intense head pain, personality change and psyhosis followed by a fever yet the doctors botched the testing up. E.g. the blood tests for autoimmune encephalitis went missing and the MRI was blurry because they didn't sedate the patient enough. Eventually they sectioned my sister despite us refusing it and she is now back at home. Still has brain burning and body pain, but it's more mild but can fluctuate a lot. We had to formally complain but NHS is so slow that we have had no response - pathetic.

For me, it was a nightmare that I could not wake up from. by now, your neurologist should have some idea of cause of infection that is producing the antibody. My daughter went through memory loss, character change, coma, seizures, multiple organ failures (heart failure, liver failure, kidney failure she couldn’t breathe on her own, while on a feeding tube). It put me through changes that I can never come back from. Only thing I can tell you is to stay strong for your son, and he needs you now more than ever. If it’s like anything like my daughters condition he will not remember even going to the hospital. you sitting there next to him bedside and observing his changes is so important for his recovery. Information that your neurologist definitely needs to hear. Don’t rely on the sitters are to analyze his behavior. Only you know the difference between his conscious mind and his subconscious. My left ear feels full, my left cheek, near my cheek bone area feels odd too... mild headaches. I had a fairly bad cold that lasted 2 weeks; productive cough, very congested and ears were very full feeling, sore throat etc..mild fever for 1 day (37.5 to 38.1 - for like a few hours basically).

Nothing changed until brain swelling went down. I took naproxen and ibuprofen together. It worked. I couldnt spell my name, tie my shoes, i didn't remember how to talk. It was weird.
