Truthfully, I've only used the spare tire ONCE in all of my years of driving, and because I was taking a long roadtrip, put the spare on only long enough to get to a tire place.
Road trips are all fun and games until you get a flat, and realized you sacrificed your spare tire for an extra luggage... Also I like how 7:11 "**FULL TANK OF GAS**", then at 7:43 it's like, nah nah, we're actually pretty cheap, even though you just spent 23k on a car, we only giving you 6 gallons of gas
It would be nice to get the standard configuration with the spare tire, and also be able to purchase the insert to lower the floor. This is a good video though, most reviewers skim quickly over the cargo space which is an important consideration. Love the black roof option.
If you use the can of gunk to repair a Corolla tyre the manual says that you then have to replace the valve . The vales have the TPMS built in and will cost £80 + whatever the Toyota Dealer charges for programming .
You can remove the spare tire and the floor can be set lower - there are indents set to hold the cargo floor at the lower level. I put my spare / jack stuff in the garage and placed a couple cans of “fix a flat” in the enhanced cargo area:) Best of both worlds.
Just came to say I loved watching your video. I live in FL and I’m just doing research for a purchase a few years down the road, but your personality and helpfulness made me smile. You do a great job, sir!
All of the models at my local dealership have them specced with the delete, but I would prefer a spare tire. Is it possible to reverse the delete and get a spare tire back?
Despite the common notion that hatchbacks can carry more cargo space than sedans, the Corolla sedan has a huge trunk that can carry more cargo than the Corolla hatchback. The sedan also has 5 inches more rear legroom than the hatchback. Sedan wins in my book!
Love the Corolla hatchback, and would consider getting one if they sat a bit higher off the ground. Is it possible to get these lifted by 2" front/2.5" rear without voiding the warranty?
Would you rather have more storage space or the spare tire? Thanks for watching and subscribing!
Spare tire! But good to know the option is there.
A full size spare would be nice, no fix a flat.

Full size spare thanks, or at least the room to stick one in myself

So they take out the spare tire and "don't charge you" to do it.... LMFAO!
you make the best toyota reviews 👌
I sure would hope that Toyota doesn't charge me for the extra cargo space considering that they're taking away the spare tire & jack too!
$0 charge spare tire delete kit 🤣🤣🤣. They are saving a whole a lot of money by not including an extra tire, rim, jacket etc. 🤫🤫

The insert is there. You just can’t lower it because the spare is right under it.
@@afcgeo882 I’m sitting here trying to find kit online😂 bro thank you so much
@@Lobo59470 me too🤣🤣🤣 no wonder I couldn't find the kit online
Can you take the spare tyre kit out yourself?

I think the idea is that the repair is temporary, until you replace the tire… and the valve. It’s the dumbest thing EVER!
i am planning to buy '21 manual later this year. i need spare to get the flat cargo area fir my sleeping bag trips.
Hi Jeff, I just got a 2025 Corolla Hatchback. Is it safe to mount my 2-bike rack on the hatch? Thanks!
This is the only video I could find actually showing the difference between having the extra cargo space. Thank you for showing this!
“We’ve upgraded your Corolla by not giving you a spare tire! You’re welcome!”
next years 0$ charge no stereo system or 0$ chage muffler delete
Sorry- No fix a flat for me😒
Do you know the width from wheelwell to wheelwell in the cargo area?

Hi Guys,
I was watching your video here from Australia and loved it. Is there any way that we get down one kit, it doesn't have to be free
The actual trunk dimensions with seats up and down (width/length) would greatly help.
In total with the spare tire it’s about 23 ft^3. Without the spare it adds about 5 ft^3 on top of the original 23.
I wish it told you miss out on a spare tire on the Toyota website. I knew there was a catch to free cargo space.
With the front and back seat down can you fit a 2x4?

Seems like a down grade not a upgrade 😂
I like Toyota but the hatchback is way too low. If it snows even a bit I'll be stuck.
Not really. It does fine up to 3”. Plows always get it down to less than an inch and start running at 2”.
I'd buy a car from this guy
Wha is the actual width and length of this vehicle?
All of the models at my local dealership have them specced with the delete, but I would prefer a spare tire. Is it possible to reverse the delete and get a spare tire back?
Sure. Order it that way.
Can I upgrade to that option later? I just bought a 2021 and my dealer didn’t tell me anything about that option
you just have to take the spare tire and equipments out
Can you get that in all wheel drive
No it's just in front-wheel drive sorry Bees! Thanks for watching.....Jeff
wait for corolla GR
yep gr corolla with permanent all wheel drive coming out 2022
The Corolla Cross has AWD.

Lacks the look of the hatchback though.
@@TreeZtan96 Sedan, especially in the sport trim, looks better than the hatchback.
@@braetonwilson4296 Have you seen them side by side in person?
@@TreeZtan96 No but I've seen plenty of pics.
That’s misleading. With the seats up or down, the hatch can actually carry more cargo than the sedan as the cargo can be stacked to the ceiling.
Can the hatch be opened from the inside?
no, its something i was disappointed with at first but since youre going to the back anyways in makes sense to avoid unwanted opening
Love the Corolla hatchback, and would consider getting one if they sat a bit higher off the ground. Is it possible to get these lifted by 2" front/2.5" rear without voiding the warranty?
Absolutely not. That’s a huge lift and the car won’t do well on it.
@@afcgeo882 Bummer.
