    I kind of like the ASUS BIOS.
    Regarding the CMOS battery should it be replaced if you will going to upgrade anything in your laptop, let's say after 4 years?

      regarding your question: you don't need to replace the Bios battery every 4 years or so, the motherboard does not even use the Bios battery at all unless the main laptop battery is completely drained then it will switch to bios battery to keep its configuration alive, and it can keep using the bios battery for 12-16months before its drained. so the conclusion is as long as you keep you battery with 2% of charge the bios battery will be all 100%, and lets say you forgot to charge it and it droped to 0% and left it there for 2months and then you just took 2month off the life of the bios battery and as soon as you plug the charger and start charging the internal battery the bios battery will stop draining. its a CR2032.
      here is a video about the internal battery and in the video you can see the bios battery on the motherboard.

    Thanks! I installed the way you show in the video. I have a problem, I have no drivers installed, I cannot use wifi or LAN, neither the touchpad. It's the 1st time the laptop is being used. I tried to download and send it via a pendrive but after driver installation didn't work. Any ideas? Thanks in advance

      @@uFixTek Hi man! Thanks for your fast answer. Could it be something in the bios? Or related that is the 1st time installation after factory?
      I'll try again as you suggest! Thank you!. I hope it's not a fail in the laptop

      nothing to do with bios or anything in the bios, even we get this laptops new, and open and replace the ssd or hdd and direct install windows (fresh install) and never ever had an issue like you mentioned. i been doing this for over 18years. if it was windows 7 or late i would understand but never on windows 10 and this laptop. double check usb or use a different usb

    Questions. When I opened my asus tuf gaming fx505d there was no mechanical hard drive. I put in a wd black 1tb and wd black sn770 ssd m.2. When I was reinstalling windows it asked if i wanted to use drice 0 or drive 1. I chose 1. Wouldn't I need to use both 1 and 2 since I upgraded 2 things? PLEASE HELP ME!!! thanks for all your help by the way. Your tutorials are amazing.

      regarding your question: no when you installed a two drives 1tb WD black and a 1tb nvme, during the installation you want to select the m.2 1tb and so the windows gets installed on the m.2. the best method is this:
      remove the 1tb sata or HDD , and only install the m.2 ssd and then install windows on that,a nd once the windows is installed then turn off the laptop and install the 2nd drive and that's all the windows will detect as 2nd storage. this way your windows will not have dependency to the 2nd drive.
      If you have any future questions or requests, please don't hesitate to reach out to me. I'll be happy to assist you.

    I followed your tutorial and I'm stuck because of error "required files not available" on my usb.

    • @uFixTek
      @uFixTek  ปีที่แล้ว

      When do you encounter this error? At which step does it occur? Is it when you reach the partition section (hard drive selection)?
      try booting from different usb ports, this is very common issue.

      To create the Windows 10 USB, I used the method shown in the video you provided: th-cam.com/video/uDu8j2lE-dM/w-d-xo.html
      When you boot from the USB, please provide more details about the step at which you encountered an error. You can use this website imgur.com/ to upload and send me the link to the screenshots. This will help me better understand the issue and provide you with a more accurate solution.

      🫠Regarding your question, you can use this method i recommend windows 10 for now at least for next two years and after that you can install windows 11, because windows 11 still has bugs.
      in the video description i linked how to create the windows 10 usb boot drive.
      Should you have any further questions or requests in the future, please don't hesitate to ask me.
      cheers🍻

      the issue could be two thing the HDD is bad and has a pad sectors, or try installing windows using different USB port!, but mostly is because of the HDD has bad sectors.

      yes your SSD is degraded and is not responding well, you will need to replace the SSD and install windows,
      th-cam.com/video/hIbpboHw0cQ/w-d-xo.html
      this happens to our clients a lot when you download and erase a lot then the SSD will degrade.

    Hello, I followed this tutorial as well as upgraded my ram/storage (32 gb and a 1tb m.2) and now my 1050 IGPU is always at 0%. I updated all of my drivers and whatnot, and I have confirmed that it is not a hardware issue by achieving normal performance when plugged into an external monitor. Any ideas on how to fix this? My guess is it has something to do with windows 11.

      Regarding your question, that is a windows 11 issue we do get that problem with our clients, we recommend you to stay on windows 10 for next two years and in that time windows 11 will and should be stable and issues fixed.

      @@uFixTek I've found a solution for you then. For some reason installing Nvidia drivers through GeForce experience isn't enough for this card, so you have to find the specific driver installer for the 1050m from the Nvidia website, as well as to update your integrated graphics through the device manager (under "display adapters"). Windows 11 also forces you to connect to a wifi network on startup, but you can bypass it by using the command line by hitting shift + F10, and typing "oobe\BypassNRO". Windows 11 is running perfectly on it

    • @uFixTek
      @uFixTek  ปีที่แล้ว

      yes we always bypass the installation without internet "BypassNRO"
      and the display adapter driver will resolve it for sometimes but then again in a month your will need to re install it because of the windows update that messes with the driver.
      the update : KB5025224 , KB5028182, KB5028245
      they said they placed a fix in those, but never fixed for all models.
      hopefully in upcoming updates they resolve the issue, also we find it very annoying for the windows to stick it's nose in the other drivers without permissions :P

    U don't explain how ur UEFI settings have to be.

    • @uFixTek
      @uFixTek  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      you don't need to change anything in you bios: its set on default as uefi, the only time you may want to change the uefi to legacy is if you have burned the usb stick via rufus to MBR mode then you need to change to legacy from UEFI. but if you have created the window boot usb via Microsoft media creator then its created as UEFI and all you need to do is plug in and power on and press f8 and choose your usb from drop down list. if you have upgraded the ssd to a brand new ssd then no need to press f8 as it will look for a bootable devise.
