It's not a climate crisis, it's a technology crisis. Our principle means of land surface temperature have been Stephenson screens, or variations thereof. The Stephenson screen wasn't was first reported in 1864 by Thomas Stevenson, a Scottish civil engineer and father of author Robert Louis Stevenson. His screen wasn't adopted by the Royal Meteorological Society until an indeterminate time after modifications were made by Edward Mawley in 1884. They were local weather stations and never designed to form part of a global network of climate monitoring stations. The principle means of overseas travel in those was the transition from sail to steam. The Cutty Sark was still transporting cargo until 1922. Quite apart from the distribution of Stephenson screens across the world being slow, and that likely only included Commonwealth and associated nations such as north America, Africa, China, south America and Russia might have had a few where there were British settlements but national use wouldn't have been a feature. Consequently there probably wasn't much uptake of any type of weather monitoring stations outside western nations until around 1950. More importantly, none were left bobbing around on the oceans, which form 70% of the planet, to measure temperatures at 1.5m - 2.0 m above the ground/ocean surface. Unsurprisingly there still aren't. It wasn't therefore, until around the mid 1970's and the launch of satellites that mankind could get an idea of temperature variations across the entire planet, including oceans, by measuring the temperatures of the lower troposphere, uncontaminated by Urban heat Islands (UHI's). But even they were bedevilled with problems and it's reasonable to assume that it wasn't until around the early 1980's they could be relied upon to deliver consistent, reliable results. Meanwhile, back on the earths surface, there are various sources which display the number of land based weather stations across the world. This is one: databasin.org/datasets/15a31dec689b4c958ee491ff30fcce75/ (It takes a while to load). Zooming in across, say, South America, Africa and Eurasia reveals vast areas of land where weather monitoring stations are 500 - 600 miles apart. How do scientists deal with this? They 'homogenise' the data, in other words they guess at temperatures in the areas between weather monitoring stations. And if we are talking historic temperatures, the further back in time we go before 'modern' temperature instruments, the margins of uncertainty grow (which are never shown on temperature graphs) yet today we measure temperatures down to 100th of a degree centigrade. As for sea surface temperatures, they were taken by chucking a canvas bucket over the side of a ship, to no defined depth. Furthermore, they were principally taken along trade routes which didn't include the Southern Ocean as there was nothing there and it was dangerous. It wasn't until 2000 that the first Argo float was launched and the project to scatter them across all oceans has only recently been achieved. Nor do they bother with air temperatures at between 1.m and 2.0m above the sea surface, indeed, they don't measure air temperatures at all.
Thank you for taking the time to tell us that. I didn't know the history of it and I agree that the early data will be very questionable due to the ability to measure accurately and consistently.
Something which I dont think is being talked about enough is the rapidly approaching population collapse caused by decades of low birth rates. Its good news for climate alarmists because fewer people = fewer emissions
Yes so long as behaviour does not change it is looking good. Of course economically it is terrifying, all current systems collapse. Value can not be stored for example. Think more houses than people wanting them. Same with all 'valuable things'.
@@nicholaspostlethwaite9554 It will be fine for Africa and emerging economies. Japan already has a million empty homes because of this phenomenon. I guess this is why British banks are buying up lots of houses in order to keep the market afloat and to protect their mortgages. NOAA data shows Atlantic sea surface temperatures have cooled at a surprising rate since May. Since June began, temperatures have been a degree or two Fahrenheit colder than normal for this time of year. That means El Niño will likely be replaced by its counterpart, La Niña, a weather system that allows cold water to rise to the surface of the Atlantic, some time between September and November. Both El Niño and La Niña are complex systems driven by trade winds, solar heating, and rainfall in the tropic regions, and can be difficult to predict. Still, the sudden shift in Atlantic temperatures has been puzzling, and nobody seems to know why it’s happened so quickly. “We’ve gone through the list of possible mechanisms, and nothing checks the box so far,” Frans Philip Tuchen, a postdoctoral student at the University of Miami, told New Scientist.

I think we could clear the whole thing up if we were to get the most prevalent climate change ‘experts’ and spokespeople to see how the measures being put in place will actually affect their existence, lives and lives of loved ones, show them how limited, restricted and expensive their lives will become and then ask them “how serious is this few degrees temperature rise?” That will never happen because even those who believe this to be serious deny what is planned to be done to mitigate it. They have no idea about stopping air travel, stopping private transport, removing things from the human diet let alone 15min cities or what rewilding really means. On the one hand these fanatics dismiss us as conspiracy theorists for questioning ‘the science’ and on the other think we are conspiracy theorists for trying to alert them to papers like U.K. fires absolute zero and the WEF. They don’t realise what agenda is being hidden behind climate change and they don’t care to look. I’ve concluded with this and many other current ‘problems’ that most people simply don’t have the stomach for what’s really going on and would rather enjoy today than consider tomorrow, would rather ignore than face up to. Sifting through all these agendas is quite a stress to take on board. Thank you for doing this.
It's a brilliant idea to demand answers, we should all do the same at all of our councils across the western world. But just to show what we're up against, here are a few quotes I've assembled from 'them'. “We have got to ride the global warming issue even if the theory of global warming is wrong, we will be doing the right thing in terms of economic policy and environmental policy.” Sen Tim Wirth ( D. Co ) Undersecretary of State for Global Issues at the Rio Earth Summit “A global warming treaty must be implemented even if there is no scientific evidence to back the (enhanced) greenhouse effect.” Richard Benedick Deputy Assistant Secretary of State at the Rio Earth Summit “No matter if the science of global warming is all phony… climate change provides the greatest opportunity to bring about justice and equality in the world.” Christine Stewart Canadian Minister of the Environment speaking to reporters in 1998

Thank you for doing this.
Bravo
The Law is clear: Whosoever makes a claim, must provide valid proof of claim.
Very good!
Co ) Undersecretary of State for Global Issues at the Rio Earth Summit
“A global warming treaty must be implemented even if there is no scientific evidence to back the (enhanced) greenhouse effect.”
Richard Benedick Deputy Assistant Secretary of State at the Rio Earth Summit
“No matter if the science of global warming is all phony… climate change provides the greatest opportunity to bring about justice and equality in the world.”
Christine Stewart Canadian Minister of the Environment speaking to reporters in 1998
Oh wow, I'd not come across those quotes!!! 😯 Just shows the level of crazy we're up against!
Love the BBC joke at the end 😂...so true 😑😠
It's amazing how you can get 'favourable' readings by placement of the recording instruments...😑😠
Love it.
The climate crisis side rely rather a lot on 'consensus' - Remember [metaphorically] when all but one person 'knew' the world was the centre of the universe? Copernicus to the rescue
Excellent, thank you
I know this is irrelevant on this video but I thought I would reach out. Wolves in sheep skin. Plymouth City Council cost my son a school place and when I went for a school admissions appeal the 3 old men had no intention of having children's education in their best interest. Awful people would not even allow to speak without threatening to end the hearing because they don't like the truth being spoken. As long as we got these old people in the council with their archaic stand point nothing will ever be done in the best interest for children's educational endeavors.
The indoctrination centres will never be "improved. They are only there to produce obedient slaves.
Follow the money ...
It bought the 'science'
Beautiful 🎉
When they put machines that take the temperature in place where they know it’s warmer then you will get higher temperatures like airports
I understand the concept of zero, but how big is the net and whose net is it anyway?
Net zero is propaganda.
“Follow the science” Madazolam Handcock 🤮🤮🤮
"the science" is the latest group think cult..
Certainly not science
Atmosphere is a lens looking out, Sun shines in. Scientists are too prolific.
