Boys this one great period in time! I was lucky enough to be part of it! I can remember racing 90’s n 110’s no suspension! Grown ass men on those Lil machines! Wat a great time! Pro design hand built pipes Klemm research dg performance bel ray Jt racing just some of the big names back then! Los Angeles memorial coliseum Mickey Thompson! Man if I had a time machine! Now just a broke nearly crippled old fart reminiscing! Thanks for the memories made my day! Hammerdown
@AIRFOOLERSDOTCOM - A "Mocat" was introduced mid '86 season that featured a Tecate engine in a modified Mojave frame. I know #11 Jackie Meadows and #64 Charlie Shepard had that Team Green experiment ride. #31 White was on the Tecate 4 in '87 along with #16 Sean Finley.Watched them at the TT National in Boyd, TX that year. Other Tecate 4 Riders that year was #63 Ron Fields and a #9. Greg Clark had the #1 plate in '87 while riding a Tecate 4 in the Mickey Thompson stadium series.
It is cool to read all the comments. Awesome. I myself was in a issue of 3&4 wheel action magazine.. I even raced some events 4 the aatva..I must brag that I dated Charlie shepherd's cousin back when he was winning championships @ m/t off road series
Take a look at 5 minutes and 3 seconds. You will notice that the factory 1986 quadracer has a T-bone StyleSeat. That seat was released as a stock seat on the 87 through 92 model quad racers. It's cool to see the R&D making its way from the racing to the actual showroom floors. It's really interesting though to see that seat on an 86

Love these vintage videos
Some great race coverage of a vintage race
I watched this on tnt in 1986. I was 17. I feel old.
I love the sounds of two strokes ripping around the track.😊
Like music
Dude tried to say his suzuki was better then the Honda. As soon as the gonda passed him he was gone haha. Honda power
Ahahahahaha ya I thought the same shit u did lol
for sure, Honda ATC's were the best and the TRX is IMHO still the greatest quad ever developed.
I put it at top of list cuz other brands were coming with 350s and 500s to keep up with the honda 250s.
250r hard to beat

Hell yeah. I'd like to see what these guys could do, in their prime, with todays suspension technology!
the best quads to ever exist, and they're all tied for first, LT250R, TRX250R, and the banshee 350.
bork 250r is the best by far.
250r by far.....Suspension on Suzuki was terrible
Marty Hart is an awesome racer, still gettin podiums
Marty Hart still wearing his ATC pants from the year before.

Your absolutely right! I forgot about Rodney.
Thanks for the precision!
I still talk to Rodney on FB from time to time
Everybody ran twist throttles back then too.
Wished they still made 2 stroke quads
I like how the first comment is " yeah that honda dont run as good as my suzuki". Spoken like a true factory representative.
One more of an example of how Superior the FourTrax was to the Quad Racer
I wouldn't say that Jimmy white missed a gear that's why that TRX got around him.
@@brianallen1738 Suzuki was just not as good as a machine as the fourtrax
too cool. thanks for the vid man...awesome...
Graydon proline habdlebars... I had those.
Did they stroke and bore and put all types of mods in their machine back then like they do today?
Yeah but Suzuki started it and Gary Denton won the championship in 86 and 87 on the 250 quad racer !
I dont think the Tecate 4 was ready yet - if it was Jimmy White would have been on one for sure.
lol dude the lt500r is under 400lbs it like 370, i have one and it kicks ass
Suzuki better than Honda...the lie of the century
No problem, boys!!!
Wow... I remember going to these races when i was 9yrs old. Wheres the buggies at?
LONG LIVE THE DINOSAURS
damn I didn't know Eddie sanders raced
Yeah, that's badass. No wonder he has a company that sells trx250r and atc250r parts
agreed!
not even full face helmet
Go banks
Billy Clayton fastest ever
I could not hear nothing low quality sound .
Marty and Jimmy classic battles team Honda rules
