*PLEASE READ BEFORE COMMENTING* My channel is based around Online NHL content so I am covering it from the Online player’s standpoint. I also am aware that the GWC ending could be a good thing for HUT specifically, because it could make it seem less “sweaty” for new players while staying engaging. EA just has to find a balance and put some things to use that I mentioned in the video. We really just have to wait and see when NHL 25 is revealed to know what direction EA is looking to push the game in. If it looks good then I could be completely wrong in certain aspects, and I’m ok with that. Thanks

EA Sports is a joke lol - nhl 14 gameplay feels more like real hockey than nhl 24 - franchise mode hasnt been touched in nearly a decade - cant edit / add your own players or teams in franchise mode - no depth in any way (pre game intro, dressing rooms, interactive drafts / trade deadlines) - HUT does not add anything to the game for 30% of players - no mini games - commentary is terrible - CPU doesnt understand hockey in any way - The game has been terrible and the exact same for the last decade and EA seems to okay with it, shameful
I mean you can add players BUT it sucks because you have to do it outside of the mode. Wish it was more like MyEra in 2k. You can edit players creat players do what ever you want.
NHL 24 was definitely not executed well, NHL 18 and 19 were executed well, they just need to use the past and present and make a game that is actually not obviously terrible, gameplay is trash, the announcing is trash, I would say the presentation is in the right direction, otherwise this series has gone down hill.
I agree with all except that 14 feels better gameplay wise, I disagree, player control in terms of realism was probably at its peak in NHL 23, in NHL 24 they tweaked L trigger reverse skating into the zone so I'd say 23 has slightly better gameplay feel, shooting passing etc is all better than 14. I still don't understand how they don't have realistic puck physics yet though, the dead stop on netting after a snipe is lame as fuck still
We need another company to make an NHL game SO badly. I play NHL 2K10 (the PS3 version) regularly on my Steamdeck and there's so many things in that game that they get right. It was slept on.

That’s why I think 6v6 would be better for some sort of “comp scene” opposed to 1v1 with AIs out there. 1v1 is just easier to run for tournament organizers because it’s less players. Also some xfactors probably work TOO well 💀 (close quarters is fucking broken)

I only play online versus so there isn’t a lot of X factor players in a game but it just bugs me if a player has close quarters you should be able to score with it a variety of ways but all it does is just make “the glitch” work 100% of the time. @MethodzBlem I mean the competitions or whatever it’s called. When you have guys like eki that compete in it and are TH-camrs it creates a toxic gameplay. All these people do is abuse the game and people see that and try to do it themselves. It’s more of the game needs fixed very bad imo. You shouldn’t be able to watch a video of “how to score in nhl 24” and it actually work. A player should be able to score in numerous ways by reacting off of the goalie and defense mistakes like a real hockey game. Instead because of these tournaments everyone attacks the same and everyone plays defense the exact same. It leads to a very boring and repetitive game.
They need to make EASHL (World of Chel) the main competitive mode. The game of hockey as a whole is a TEAM sport. They should have 6v6 pro team brackets that faceoff against eachother like in MOBA world championships (look at how enjoyable it is to watch League of Legends tournaments) people will have favourite pro players to watch, there would be real world team chemistry and plays that need to be executed by multiple players at once like in real life, pro players can change pro teams simulating real world trades, etc. Watching one person control a whole team is just not enjoyable to watch IMO.
Wouldn’t this be good? We don’t want HUT we want a better hockey game with effort put into gameplay and offline modes who cares about esports championships besides who watches these championships?
The point is alot of the players that play HUT and spend money, which EA wants us to do, won’t be as inclined to grind the game because there aren’t any big tournaments. Sure the casuals aren’t affected but HUT is their money-maker gamemode and something like this could bleed into other gamemodes if the playerbase isn’t there. I know EA has the battle pass now with EASHL but I really don’t know how many people are spending money on it. Part of it actually could be good though so HUT may be less sweaty and casuals would play it more

The main issue im stating is the fact that EA needs to add more engaging gamemodes (especially in HUT) to keep people on the game, now that the big tourney is gone, most people that play HUT for that reason won’t grind it as much because there isn’t that incentive anymore. EA does not have the exclusive licensing rights of the NHL. I think making hockey video games was no longer profitable for 2K so they stopped making it after 2K11. They could make one right now if they chose to do so. I doubt they will, which stinks.
Yea for sure to be fair thats when 2k didn’t have microtransactions or other avenues of revenue besides the games but yea I honestly doubt it would happen anytime soon

So I'm gonna sound like a bit of a negative Nancy but what does it benefit you, myself or any one else to help grow the game with our social's if they aren't even investing the money made back into the game? EA made 1 billion dollars last year in micro transactions alone from HUT etc. and if I'm not mistaken they made over 800 million the year before that. So my question to you is in the past 2 years have you seen anything EA has done to and for the NHL series that would justify us using our socials to grow the game to make them more money? The game is glitchy, buggy, the engine is way behind it's time and the frost bite engine shouldn't even be used really because they had plenty of time to create a new updated engine and they chose not to and mind you this is AFTER making nearly 2 billion dollars in 2 years so i can honestly say i don't get your perspective
I really only said that so we can try and get as much viewership as possible to help the future of the ESport and the Game itself, including the game of hockey which is growing. Growing socials isn’t only helping EA it helps the community and I’m very under the notion that we all eat. The real problem with NHL specifically is compared to all the other sports games, it has the least amount of resources/funding. Which I agree is bs considering how much EA pulls in annually. My main point is I think if people promote the game more and the microtransactions less, the better for everyone. I also agree frostbite should have never been used with this game considering frostbite is fundamentally made for FPS games.
This is a blessing in disguise. The rise of HUT accompanied the downfall of the game as a whole, which means that seeing that trend in the opposite direction is entirely possible. And in the long haul, if EA no longer sees this game as profitable, we'll get someone else on the licence. Or, here's hoping, competition in the marketplace. I would also argue that hockey and the NHL is no longer even in the 'Big 4' among North American sports. Game 7 is a fly-away case where nothing else was on TV so you might as well watch a game 7. NFL, NBA, MLB, and MMA are all bigger in North America, specifically the US, than hockey.

With the arrival of hot stars, like Messi in the MLS and the NBA being on the rise, especially with the current recent draft, the NHL is severely falling behind the prospected players coming in are not living up to the hype anymore. You can’t base a league on one player this isn’t the early 2000s and 2010 era of NHL. You need multiple players on the majority of the NHL teams to be the stars of the franchise if not the league. That’s why hockey was so successful in the 70s 80s and 90s. In this day and age of the NHL not everybody knows everybody’s big star players. All we know is at least the top three of the prospected in the draft and the big names like Nathan McKinnon, Sydney Crosby, Alex Ovechkin, whom of have carried the NHL since 2010 era.

Bad news? It’s great news. Now we don’t have to spend 79.99$ of shit product. EA SPORTS you get great graphics but you pay extra if you want to make your own team better with Hockey ultimate team because that’s what they care about is money from the consumer.
People are undermining the game by encouraging the purchase of garbage packs for HUT. If no one bought their microtransactions and only supported the game for what it’s meant to be-an NHL showcase-they would have to focus on gameplay and realism. There’s so much unexploited potential out there, just by selling copies every year. Just make it fun and competitive for everyone.
This might be an unpopular opinion, idk... but I think HUT teams should have overall limits. I find it ridiculous when a team has all 99 overalls and line chemistry and strategy gets thrown out the window. I'm not bashing it because my hut team sucks. Infact I have many 99 and 90+ cards. But the grind to get them is painful, and I think it would be more interesting to introduce a new element of strategy. That being line overall distribution. Players could stack their forward core to have a 95 Matthews, 97 McDavid, and some 80+ fourth-liners, and have a terrible-core and goalie... or perhaps choose to balance out your team by not having a 95 Matthews and getting like a 88 Ekblad for Defence and a 85 Joseph Woll as goalie. It would also make star players actually feel like stars, rather than everyone even your fourth line being 99 overall players. IDK how EA would make money... maybe collecting exlusive variants of cards, like past players in their prime... like buying prime a 95 overall Stamkos with real money instead of using the base Stamkos at 90 overall for example. But at the end of the day, every other player has the same overall limit and players to choose from or unlock through missions (easily), so it's all fair game. It's not who has the most 99 overall cards. It goes back to purely skill and roster strategy.
yea its dumb. 20 years ago with friends after realizing how broken the megateams were we made a system that your team can only have total overall of x (i think it was maybe 1200 or 1400), meaning you could get a couple of superstars and be pretty forced to get some 40s and 50s in low lines or you could go for steady 70s. but ofc from card business perspective they wouldnt make nearly as much money if ppl stopped buying packs after the 4th or 5th 90+ so never gonna happen. the only way they will apply that is by having special timed battlepasses where players x, y and z are banned so you will only retain your superiority by having even more 90s in your reserve or you might be forced to use some 70s. this is common mobile game strategy now and... i would say i hate it so much how transparent it is but the mobile gaming economy is full of those things. "oh you spent 800 bucks on your super character? ok now we have this season where that character is banned so better build (pay) that other one!"

It always happens when I go up 1-0. The game just delays everything to give the other team an advantage. I think they do the same for Chel. But def hut... it happens almost every game its so noticeable and frustrating. Then once the other team scores, moment is shifted and I gotta crawl back to take the lead. Think thats apart of the conspiracy of ice-tilt. This game is so broken it kills me. But its the only hockey game out there.
Should be like the 2K nfl game with legends. You could choose a maximum of say; 2x 89+ 3x 84-88 5x 80-83 This would make you have actually stick with a play styles. You could go also top heavy like 4x89+ 3x84-88 2x80-83
To be honest 2k is going in the same direction currently with their sports games as EA, so it probably won’t be much better, just think about the equivalent to NBA’s my player being in chel and how Grindy that is minus spending hundreds to max your character out, it’s potentially gonna be similar to how it’s going now, but only time will tell I guess.
To be honest the World Champjonships are a fucking snooze fest....games ending 5-4 with shots on goal 10-8....the fact a player can posess the puck for 5+ minutes in the off zone passing around to look for 1 shots is terrible a d the defense can do nothing about it...strats dont work barely at all the game needs major work but EA doesnt care because you get the same 1% who drops 5-10k each on packs yet complain about the game...its not just hockey though Madden console and mobile are horrible for the same reason...no matter how bad the game is people spend boatloads of cash on micro transactions because they just need to have the best players available.

Yea I know 2k got its flaws similarly to EA, especially in the past couple years. I would just like if 2k had the NHL licensing again along with EA so that there’s some sort of competition and people could choose whichever game they like. Any chance Online Team Play comes back? Used to love dropping into matchmaking or making a lobby with 12 people and playing as actual NHL players instead of loadouts.
They need to fix this absolute mess of online versus play. Where a team can lead in shots by 15 or 20, dominate possession, and lose five or six games in a row due to glitch goals.
Competitive seasons for sure would be the way to go. Hockey ultimate team should be something we can build our ultimate team. I wish you could build the players you like especially if it’s team based. Everyone has a favorite team but with the way it is now you can honestly only have less than a handful of players that are usable. The rest of the players don’t have speed, off/def awareness and or stick checking (not that pokes work) wtf! The base icons was great, but then EA HAD TO ,,, repeat HAD TO (loud) make €€€NEW¥¥¥ icon cards 96 goalie 90ov+ cards so everyone runs to the store. I had one dude do circles around my guys … wtf
I liked NHL 24 this year, I put a fair amount of time into it, I played quite a bit of HUT and had fun with that, but HUT is only fun for so long before I went to franchise and started playing that for awhile. It’s definitely a shame what this series has become. People say oh stop buying it and they’ll make the game better. I for one can’t just not buy NHL, when EA is the only one who makes them. It’s definitely upsetting that they don’t even touch the offline modes. Franchise has barely gotten any updates and BAP hasn’t been touched in 4 years. When I made my pro and saw that cutscene of Carter Lake again, I didn’t even touch the mode. I think they need to either stop focusing on online so much or just get rid of HUT all together. EASHL is the more popular and fun mode. I’ve been playing 14’s BAP the past week and it’s just so immersive. We need that type of BAP again, I had hopes with 21 but after your rookie season it just goes back to being the same old shit. It’s hard to believe this is the same company that gave us all the classic Chel’s we love.
The problem is; we had many things 10 years ago that we all loved. They decided to delete those things and we still can't get those back. Why is game dying? We don't want to grind boring events with same players and same bad gameplay year after year😂
They did this by themselves by only focusing on HUT. They destroyed EASHL, they removed many engaging aspects of HUT, they removed online leagues, GM online... Meanwhile game play didn't evolve and used old engines. If you want players with this game, it has to be f2p like Fortnite. Or make SIGNIFICANT update
Id pay for a stand-alone Franchise mode that was a true SIM and barebones online. I dont need HUT. Fix Franchise mode Starting with better CPU GMs. Most playthroughs fall apart in like 10 years because the CPU makes ridiculous decisions and doesn't develop players. Frequently scratches high potential youths for Vets. We need Coherent, Chemistry, morale, and coaching systems that arent purely RNG nonsense. A veteran/rookie mentorship system like the NBA games. Arena and jersey customization, and better presentation. Data logs, analytics, better players interaction. Oh and the commentators...plz stop talking about X-Factors in such a immersion breaking way.
I think EA still has the potential to make great games but they'd have to double or triple the amount of people they have working on these games to really get things done n even then they may have to skip a year still to catch the game up
They need to fix be a pro mode so my computer teammates play like the computers on the other team. They need to stop copy and pasting the last years game and improving graphics only and actually make the game play like real hockey
As a Franchise mode player I'm glad to hear this .Online has killed Franchise mode . Online is just for Milking more money out of players. Make two versions of the game at least those who play Online and those for Franchise . Greed is and a lack of Competition is what is killing Sports games. Before there was Online gaming these sports games had Competition no Online and the games were great and fun to play .

I'm pretty positive ea doesn't have an exclusive deal with the NHL so there's been nothing stopping 2k from making an NHL game. I unfortunately am also pretty positive that making an NHL game is pretty hard so 2k jumping back in I'd bet is very unlikely.

I never said its the “end of the franchise” and I talk about Online because that’s what i make my content off of and what I care about the most. I don’t care much for offline gamemodes personally, so yeah its a big deal for me and others that play online, that’s why im covering it. I’d consider casuals people who play the game casually every now and then, are newer to the game, or maybe don’t have as much time on the game. Also I don’t think spending money on the game has anything to do with whether someone is a casual or not. I don’t spend money on the game but I don’t consider myself a casual, however I know people who have spent money but barely play the game.

It's great that the EA team made a solid effort at providing objectives that produced decent rewards this year which is all fine. Yea I kinda agree to an extent, I always grind squad battles at the start of the year to get used to the game and HUT Rush is a cool idea but I feel like it’s been in the game for like 3 years now and they haven’t updated it or added anything new to it at all.

NHL 15 was the beginning of the end for this game. EA has done a great job running NHL into the ground. They suck at their jobs. But the worst part of all of this is that people continue giving EA money. You idiots keep buying the game which gives EA no incentive to improve. Haven't given EA my money since I got wise and stopped after NHL 20. NHL is free right now on PS+ and its still overpriced.

I only play online versus so there isn’t a lot of X factor players in a game but it just bugs me if a player has close quarters you should be able to score with it a variety of ways but all it does is just make “the glitch” work 100% of the time. So stupid.
@MethodzBlem I mean the competitions or whatever it’s called. When you have guys like eki that compete in it and are TH-camrs it creates a toxic gameplay. All these people do is abuse the game and people see that and try to do it themselves. It’s more of the game needs fixed very bad imo. You shouldn’t be able to watch a video of “how to score in nhl 24” and it actually work. A player should be able to score in numerous ways by reacting off of the goalie and defense mistakes like a real hockey game. Instead because of these tournaments everyone attacks the same and everyone plays defense the exact same. It leads to a very boring and repetitive game.
They need to make EASHL (World of Chel) the main competitive mode. The game of hockey as a whole is a TEAM sport. They should have 6v6 pro team brackets that faceoff against eachother like in MOBA world championships (look at how enjoyable it is to watch League of Legends tournaments) people will have favourite pro players to watch, there would be real world team chemistry and plays that need to be executed by multiple players at once like in real life, pro players can change pro teams simulating real world trades, etc.
Watching one person control a whole team is just not enjoyable to watch IMO.
Wouldn’t this be good? We don’t want HUT we want a better hockey game with effort put into gameplay and offline modes who cares about esports championships besides who watches these championships?
The point is alot of the players that play HUT and spend money, which EA wants us to do, won’t be as inclined to grind the game because there aren’t any big tournaments. Sure the casuals aren’t affected but HUT is their money-maker gamemode and something like this could bleed into other gamemodes if the playerbase isn’t there. I know EA has the battle pass now with EASHL but I really don’t know how many people are spending money on it. Part of it actually could be good though so HUT may be less sweaty and casuals would play it more

The main issue im stating is the fact that EA needs to add more engaging gamemodes (especially in HUT) to keep people on the game, now that the big tourney is gone, most people that play HUT for that reason won’t grind it as much because there isn’t that incentive anymore. EA does not have the exclusive licensing rights of the NHL. I think making hockey video games was no longer profitable for 2K so they stopped making it after 2K11. They could make one right now if they chose to do so. I doubt they will, which stinks.
Yea for sure to be fair thats when 2k didn’t have microtransactions or other avenues of revenue besides the games but yea I honestly doubt it would happen anytime soon

So I'm gonna sound like a bit of a negative Nancy but what does it benefit you, myself or any one else to help grow the game with our social's if they aren't even investing the money made back into the game? EA made 1 billion dollars last year in micro transactions alone from HUT etc. and if I'm not mistaken they made over 800 million the year before that. So my question to you is in the past 2 years have you seen anything EA has done to and for the NHL series that would justify us using our socials to grow the game to make them more money? The game is glitchy, buggy, the engine is way behind it's time and the frost bite engine shouldn't even be used really because they had plenty of time to create a new updated engine and they chose not to and mind you this is AFTER making nearly 2 billion dollars in 2 years so i can honestly say i don't get your perspective
I really only said that so we can try and get as much viewership as possible to help the future of the ESport and the Game itself, including the game of hockey which is growing. Growing socials isn’t only helping EA it helps the community and I’m very under the notion that we all eat. The real problem with NHL specifically is compared to all the other sports games, it has the least amount of resources/funding. Which I agree is bs considering how much EA pulls in annually. My main point is I think if people promote the game more and the microtransactions less, the better for everyone. I also agree frostbite should have never been used with this game considering frostbite is fundamentally made for FPS games.
I want to use my created team against my buddies. Make it happen! Bring back players looking all messed up after a fight as well.
This is a blessing in disguise. The rise of HUT accompanied the downfall of the game as a whole, which means that seeing that trend in the opposite direction is entirely possible. And in the long haul, if EA no longer sees this game as profitable, we'll get someone else on the licence. Or, here's hoping, competition in the marketplace.
I would also argue that hockey and the NHL is no longer even in the 'Big 4' among North American sports. Game 7 is a fly-away case where nothing else was on TV so you might as well watch a game 7. NFL, NBA, MLB, and MMA are all bigger in North America, specifically the US, than hockey.

With the arrival of hot stars, like Messi in the MLS and the NBA being on the rise, especially with the current recent draft, the NHL is severely falling behind the prospected players coming in are not living up to the hype anymore.
You can’t base a league on one player this isn’t the early 2000s and 2010 era of NHL. You need multiple players on the majority of the NHL teams to be the stars of the franchise if not the league. That’s why hockey was so successful in the 70s 80s and 90s. In this day and age of the NHL not everybody knows everybody’s big star players. All we know is at least the top three of the prospected in the draft and the big names like Nathan McKinnon, Sydney Crosby, Alex Ovechkin, whom of have carried the NHL since 2010 era.

People are undermining the game by encouraging the purchase of garbage packs for HUT. If no one bought their microtransactions and only supported the game for what it’s meant to be-an NHL showcase-they would have to focus on gameplay and realism. There’s so much unexploited potential out there, just by selling copies every year. Just make it fun and competitive for everyone.
This might be an unpopular opinion, idk... but I think HUT teams should have overall limits. I find it ridiculous when a team has all 99 overalls and line chemistry and strategy gets thrown out the window. I'm not bashing it because my hut team sucks. Infact I have many 99 and 90+ cards. But the grind to get them is painful, and I think it would be more interesting to introduce a new element of strategy. That being line overall distribution. Players could stack their forward core to have a 95 Matthews, 97 McDavid, and some 80+ fourth-liners, and have a terrible-core and goalie... or perhaps choose to balance out your team by not having a 95 Matthews and getting like a 88 Ekblad for Defence and a 85 Joseph Woll as goalie. It would also make star players actually feel like stars, rather than everyone even your fourth line being 99 overall players. IDK how EA would make money... maybe collecting exlusive variants of cards, like past players in their prime... like buying prime a 95 overall Stamkos with real money instead of using the base Stamkos at 90 overall for example. But at the end of the day, every other player has the same overall limit and players to choose from or unlock through missions (easily), so it's all fair game. It's not who has the most 99 overall cards. It goes back to purely skill and roster strategy.
yea its dumb. 20 years ago with friends after realizing how broken the megateams were we made a system that your team can only have total overall of x (i think it was maybe 1200 or 1400), meaning you could get a couple of superstars and be pretty forced to get some 40s and 50s in low lines or you could go for steady 70s. but ofc from card business perspective they wouldnt make nearly as much money if ppl stopped buying packs after the 4th or 5th 90+ so never gonna happen. the only way they will apply that is by having special timed battlepasses where players x, y and z are banned so you will only retain your superiority by having even more 90s in your reserve or you might be forced to use some 70s. this is common mobile game strategy now and... i would say i hate it so much how transparent it is but the mobile gaming economy is full of those things. "oh you spent 800 bucks on your super character? ok now we have this season where that character is banned so better build (pay) that other one!"

It always happens when I go up 1-0. The game just delays everything to give the other team an advantage. I think they do the same for Chel. But def hut... it happens almost every game its so noticeable and frustrating. Then once the other team scores, moment is shifted and I gotta crawl back to take the lead. Think thats apart of the conspiracy of ice-tilt. This game is so broken it kills me. But its the only hockey game out there.

To be honest 2k is going in the same direction currently with their sports games as EA, so it probably won’t be much better, just think about the equivalent to NBA’s my player being in chel and how Grindy that is minus spending hundreds to max your character out, it’s potentially gonna be similar to how it’s going now, but only time will tell I guess.

To be honest the World Champjonships are a fucking snooze fest....games ending 5-4 with shots on goal 10-8....the fact a player can posess the puck for 5+ minutes in the off zone passing around to look for 1 shots is terrible a d the defense can do nothing about it...strats dont work barely at all the game needs major work but EA doesnt care because you get the same 1% who drops 5-10k each on packs yet complain about the game...its not just hockey though Madden console and mobile are horrible for the same reason...no matter how bad the game is people spend boatloads of cash on micro transactions because they just need to have the best players available.

Any chance Online Team Play comes back? Used to love dropping into matchmaking or making a lobby with 12 people and playing as actual NHL players instead of loadouts.
They need to fix this absolute mess of online versus play. Where a team can lead in shots by 15 or 20, dominate possession, and lose five or six games in a row due to glitch goals.

Competitive seasons for sure would be the way to go. Hockey ultimate team should be something we can build our ultimate team. I wish you could build the players you like especially if it’s team based. Everyone has a favorite team but with the way it is now you can honestly only have less than a handful of players that are usable. The rest of the players don’t have speed, off/def awareness and or stick checking (not that pokes work) wtf!

I liked NHL 24 this year, I put a fair amount of time into it, I played quite a bit of HUT and had fun with that, but HUT is only fun for so long before I went to franchise and started playing that for awhile. It’s definitely a shame what this series has become. People say oh stop buying it and they’ll make the game better. I for one can’t just not buy NHL, when EA is the only one who makes them. It’s definitely upsetting that they don’t even touch the offline modes. Franchise has barely gotten any updates and BAP hasn’t been touched in 4 years. When I made my pro and saw that cutscene of Carter Lake again, I didn’t even touch the mode. I think they need to either stop focusing on online so much or just get rid of HUT all together. EASHL is the more popular and fun mode. I’ve been playing 14’s BAP the past week and it’s just so immersive. We need that type of BAP again, I had hopes with 21 but after your rookie season it just goes back to being the same old shit. It’s hard to believe this is the same company that gave us all the classic Chel’s we love.
The problem is; we had many things 10 years ago that we all loved. They decided to delete those things and we still can't get those back. Why is game dying? We don't want to grind boring events with same players and same bad gameplay year after year😂
They did this by themselves by only focusing on HUT. They destroyed EASHL, they removed many engaging aspects of HUT, they removed online leagues, GM online... Meanwhile game play didn't evolve and used old engines. If you want players with this game, it has to be f2p like Fortnite. Or make SIGNIFICANT update

Fix Franchise mode Starting with better CPU GMs. Most playthroughs fall apart in like 10 years because the CPU makes ridiculous decisions and doesn't develop players. Frequently scratches high potential youths for Vets. We need Coherent, Chemistry, morale, and coaching systems that arent purely RNG nonsense. A veteran/rookie mentorship system like the NBA games. Arena and jersey customization, and better presentation. Data logs, analytics, better players interaction. Oh and the commentators...plz stop talking about X-Factors in such a immersion breaking way.

As a Franchise mode player I'm glad to hear this .Online has killed Franchise mode . Online is just for Milking more money out of players. Make two versions of the game at least those who play Online and those for Franchise . Greed is and a lack of Competition is what is killing Sports games. I'm pretty positive ea doesn't have an exclusive deal with the NHL so there's been nothing stopping 2k from making an NHL game. I unfortunately am also pretty positive that making an NHL game is pretty hard so 2k jumping back in I'd bet is very unlikely.

I never said its the “end of the franchise” and I talk about Online because that’s what i make my content off of and what I care about the most. I don’t care much for offline gamemodes personally, so yeah its a big deal for me and others that play online, that’s why im covering it. I’d consider casuals people who play the game casually every now and then, are newer to the game, or maybe don’t have as much time on the game. Also I don’t think spending money on the game has anything to do with whether someone is a casual or not. I don’t spend money on the game but I don’t consider myself a casual, however I know people who have spent money but barely play the game.

Yea I kinda agree to an extent, I always grind squad battles at the start of the year to get used to the game and HUT Rush is a cool idea but I feel like it’s been in the game for like 3 years now and they haven’t updated it or added anything new to it at all.
