Hit the Subscribe button if you live in Minnesota. ATTENTION: All the city names were pronounced incorrectly ON PURPOSE. Every day I get triggered comments about the city names - it was intentional. 😃

This guy's pace and demeanor are so un-Minnesotan. He must have spent most of his time traveling because he's not at all typical...He should have pronounced the city names correctly.

The Bushwacker - You're from "up north" and call Minneapolis-St Paul "the cities." It's only people on TV that use the term "Twin Cities." The two are quite different. Minneapolis is flat and city-like. St. Paul is on the east side of the Mississippi, hilly, and has more of a small town feel.

That cracked me up! I loved it. From South Dakota, so I had to learn to expand my vocalization from the short and quick, monosyllabic "youbet" to "youuuu betchaaaa." Well done.

The "Minnesota Goodbye" occurs in several phases, but the initial "I think it's about time we head out," is more like signaling the relatively distant departure you're going to make. It prepares everyone to get some final words and thoughts into the conversation that they may have missed before, and ensures a fulfilling visit.

Anyone who prefers MN to CAL is legit a Minnesotan in soul. The City name thing is a MN joke, to mess with someone 'nicely' about their town. South MN is a bit different. 'You Bet' not 'You Betcha'. South MN is German and Polish rooted, North is more Scandinavian. No Lutefisk in the South part. Its Walleye and no substitute down here. We love 'Fargo' just do not assume Fargo is in MN. Cohen Bros. are from MN. It was a joke. Swearing and being obnoxious in Public is VERY un-cool anywhere in MN. 36 years in MN, so Prince and Bob Dylan should also be respected. MN polite is real, be nice the weather is enough to deal with.

This was so accurate (except the pronunciations which you had to be doing on purpose to do so wrong). As a MN native who transplanted to Florida at age 40, I recognize and relate to everything. I didn't even realize they were quirks until I moved away! And you probably could have gone on for hours talking about Minnesotan quirks. That passion for tidiness. I remember a waitress in Illinois commenting that she could always tell when the diners were from MN because they always pre-bussed the tables! I still do to this day. Thanks for a quick trip down memory lane.

This video was just forwarded to me from a Minnesotan stationed in South Korea. I'm sure he came across it because somebody missed him or he missed somebody in Minnesota. I feel compelled to say, I loved the intentional mis-pronunciation of the city names. If Culturama had started it out with an Ole and Lena joke, most Minnesotans would have realized it was a very funny bit. As a resident from Faribault, I got the humor right away. Well done Culturama!

A note on "Uff da" from a Norwegian with a father who is a very frequent uff-da "user".
Uff-da is used as an interjection when you hear about something bad or negative. It is NEVER used as a "finisher".
Think of it as a "you have my sympathies - go on, tell me more".
    Example:
Me: "I was out driving earlier and I got a huge dent in my car..."
    Father: "uff da.."
Me: "Yea, this guy backed right into me"
    and so on.
    OK?!

My mom’s cousin is also in charge of the state fair so I think that is really cool!!! Plus, the state fair was just named the worlds greatest late summer festival!!!!! Gotta love Minnesota!!!❤️
